Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     alkalilöslichen    Kondensationsproduktes.    Gegenstand des vorliegenden Zusatzpaten  tes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines       alkalilöslichen    Kondensationsproduktes, da  durch gekennzeichnet, dass man     5-Chlormethyl-          2-oxybenzoesäure    mit     Cetylalkohol    kondensiert.  



  Das neue Kondensationsprodukt, die 5  Cetyloxymethyl-2-oxybenzoesäure, bildet als       Natriumsalz    ein helles, in Wasser lösliches  Pulver und ist zur Verwendung als     Weich-          machungsmittel    geeignet.    <I>Beispiel:</I>    24,2 Teile     Cetylalkohol    und 25 Teile       5-Chlormethyl-2-oxybenzoesäure    84     o/oig    wer  den in 100 Teilen Chlorbenzol gelöst und  über Nacht bei 100-120o C kondensiert.  Dann befreit man die Lösung durch Filtrieren  von Verunreinigungen und destilliert das    Chlorbenzol im Vakuum ab. Der halbfeste  Rückstand wird mehrmals mit heissem Wasser  ausgewaschen, mit Natronlauge zum Natron  salz gelöst und die Lösung eingedampft.

   Man  erhält ein helles     Pulver.

Das neue Kondensationsprodukt, die 5-Cetyl- oxymethyl-2-oxybenzoesäure, bildet als Na triumsalz ein helles, in Wasser lösliches Pulver und ist zur Verwendung als Weich- machungsmittel geeignet.
