Description

Additional patent to main patent No. 215941. Process for the production of a dye of the triazole series. It has been found that a triazole series dye can be prepared using the dye of the formula
EMI0001.0006
treated with oxidizing agents until the triazole is formed.
When dry, the dye obtained is a dark powder that dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a bluish red color, in water with a brownish-red color, and dyes cotton from a bath containing Glauber's salt in brown shades which, when treated with copper salts, turn a real red-brown pass over.
To carry out the present process, all oxidizing agents can be used which are capable of oxidizing the o-aminoazo group to the triazole ring. An ammoniacal copper salt solution is preferably used. Since in this case copper complex compounds of the dye are formed, the product obtained here has to be decuppered in a further operation, which can also immediately follow the oxidation. This can be done in a manner known per se, e.g.
B. by means of mineral acids, such as hydrochloric acid, or by means of hydrogen sulfide or hydrogen sulfide-releasing agents, such as sulfides, especially soluble sulfides. <I> Example: </I> <B> 5 </B> parts of the disodium salt of the dye; the formula
EMI0002.0002
are dissolved in <B> 250 </B> parts of hot water and in 9511 with an amniotic lime # disebenic copper solution, consisting of <B> 10 </B> parts. copper sulfate, 40 parts of water and <B > 26.5 </B> Divide '- "4u /' Oiger offset. The mixture is left to stir at <B> 90-95 '</B> for about hours.
Then add <B> 120 </B> parts 300 / t) i-, er hydrochloric acid <B> 6 </B> hours --ekoelit. After filtering off and washing, the dye is filled in the usual way by reacting it with soda or soda lavender in the sodium salt.
