Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 215941. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Farbstoffes der Triazolreihe. Es wurde gefunden, dass ein Farbstoff der Triazolreihe hergestellt werden kann, wenn man den Farbstoff der Formel

mit oxydierenden Mitteln bis zur Bildung des Triazols behandelt.
Der erhaltene Farbstoff stellt in trockenem Zustande ein rötliches Pulver dar, das sich in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit blaustichig roter, in Wasser mit bräunlichroter Farbe löst und Baumwolle aus glaubersalzhaltigem Bade in braunroten Tönen färbt, die beim Behan deln mit Kupfersalzen licht- und waschecht werden.
Zur Durchführung des vorliegenden Ver fahrens können alle oxydierenden Mittel ver wendet werden, die die o-Aminoazogruppie- rung zum Triazolring zu oxydieren vermögen. Vorzugsweise verwendet man eine ammonia- kalische Kupfersalzlösung. Da sich in diesem Falle Kupferkomplexverbindungen des Farb stoffes bilden, so muss hier das erhaltene Pro dukt in einem weiteren Arbeitsgang, der sich an die Oxydation auch unmittelbar anschliessen kann, entkupfert werden. Dies kann in an sich bekannter Weise, z.
B. mittels Mineral säuren, wie Salzsäure, oder mittels Schwefel wasserstoff oder Schwefelwasserstoff abgeben den Mitteln, wie Sulfide, insbesondere lösliche Sulfide, geschehen.
Beispiel: 5 Teile des N atriumsalzes des Farbstoffes der Formel
