Process for the preparation of a condensation product which can be used as a reservation agent. It has been found that one arrives at a valuable compound "which can be used, for example, as a reserve agent for wool or silk against staining with substantive fibers, if 1 mol 4,
9-Diaminodibenzyl-2-2! -Disulfosäme condenses with 2 mol of 3-nitrobenzoisulfonyloride, "reduces the initial condensation product to the diamino compound, this condenses again with 2 mol of 3-nitrobenzene sulfochloride, the condensation product formed is reduced to the diamino compound and the latter finally reduced with the diamino compound 2 mol of 1,2-dichlorobenzel-4, sulfoolilorid combined.
Example: The amount of 4.9 - diaminodibenzyl - 2.2 ' - disulphonic acid sodium corresponding to one gram molecule is brought into solution with about 5 liters of hot water. At 8.5 ' about 1.50 g of ZD chalk and 532 -r 3, -nitrobenzene are added to the well-stirred solution -ulfoclilorid, registered. The reaction sets in for a short time, and the condensation product begins to separate out in thick masses.
A little water is added and the temperature increases to 9.5 'over the course of half an hour, then the reaction mixture is weakly acidified with crude hydrochloric acid and left to a well-adjusted temperature Hydrochloric, acidic acidic insulation of 750 g iron flour in 90 ' hot water.
The temperature of the reaction broth is kept at 90 to 9-9 ' for several hours until the reduction is complete. Then the sponge is made strongly alkaline with sodium hydroxide solution, the clear solution is suctioned off from the iron residue and allowed to flow onto excess, crude hydrochloric acid, whereby the bis - (3! - aminobenzene - 1 - sulfonyl) - 4 ', 4 "- diaminodibenzyl - 2',

precipitates in the form of yellow-colored crystals. The product thus dissolves in water in an alkaline, slightly almost colorless manner and forms a weak when diazotized. yellowish colored tetrazo compound which is sparingly soluble in cold water.
The amount of bis - (3 - aminobenzene - 1 - sulf onyl) - 4 ', 4 " - # dia-minodi- ben # zyl - 2 ', 2 " - # dis # ulfonic acid is mixed with about 5 liters of water with the addition of about, 11, 0 gr soda dissolved in a hot solution.
150 g of chalk and 532 g 3 # -nitrobenzolsulio # chloride; - are then entered into the 85 ' warm solution. The condensation starts immediately and after a while leads to a neutrally reacting solution that can only be diazotized in traces.
Hold for another half an hour at 90 to 9: 5 ', acidify: then add a little rolier hydrochloric acid and leave the mixture to a weakly acidified, good Stirred 90 ' warm slurry of 750 grams of iron melil in water. The reduction takes place quickly.
In order to safely convert all nitro compounds into the amido compound, hold for 2 to 1 3 hours at 9.5 to 9.9 ', then do. strongly alkaline with caustic soda and soaks the light-colored emulsion from the iron residue.
The diamino compound precipitated with crude hydrochloric acid from the soda-alkaline solution and freed from the crystallization broth by suction is an almost colorless powder after drying, which dissolves easily in warm water with soda-alkalinity and a very high when diazotized forms a slightly yellowish tetrazo compound which is sparingly soluble in cold water.
The product has the formula -

The amount of bis - (3 - aminobenzene. - 1 - sulfonyl- 3 ' - aminobenzene - l '- sulio-nyl) - 4 ", 4"' - di- aminodibenzyl - 29 # ', 2 " ' - disulfonic acid is added to the Rülirwerk with about 1.0 liter of hot water and 11,

Add about 160 gT chalk -and 614 g 1,2-diehlobenzene-4- to the well-mixed solution at 85 to 90 ' sulfochloride. After a short time, the condensation product begins to separate out in oily form, with the solution foaming.
To complete the reaction, the mixture is heated to 90 to 915 for about 1 hour, the emulsion is then made weakly Congo acidic with hydrochloric acid and allowed to cool. The clear broth can be poured off the clear broth from the condensation product in the form of a firmly coherent mass lying at the bottom of the vessel and then the table salt obtained can be dissolved again in hot water with the addition of the necessary amount of soda as sodium salt.
The colium carbonate precipitated in this process is sucked off, the solution which is still warm is mixed with a little table salt, and by adding acetic acid, until the broth has an acidic reaction, the sodium salt of the bis. - (1,2- dichlorobenzene - 4 - sulfonyl - 3 '- aminobenzene - </ B > l ' - sulfonyl V - aminobenzene V' - sulfonyl)

precipitated in an oily form at first, then solidifying when the mixture was cooled.
The still moist product is rubbed in a mortar, sucked off and dried. It then, like the corresponding ammonium salt, forms a colorless powder that dissolves easily in warm water and to a high degree has the property of protecting wool or silk in miseli-weave from being stained with substantial dyes.
