La fig. 1 est une coupe en élévation -de l'engrenage, comprenant la boîte d'engrenage; La fig. 2 est une élévation latérale de l'engrenage .représenté sur la fig. 1, la boîte étant enlevée; La fig. 3 est une vue de bout, en coupe, prise sur la ligne 3-3 de la fig. 2; La fig. 4 est une coupe suivant la ligne 4-4 de la fig. 1;
En supposant que les saillies d accoup@n- ment, 28 soient en prise avec les saillies 30 et quo les leviers 51. soient déplacés vers la droite de la position représentée sur les fi;. 1 et 2, de façon q-up la roue de changement de vitesse 21 soit Agalement déplacée vers la droite et sis saillants 26 enyagé.;
# dans les creux 25 du disque 2, la. transmission entre l'arbre moteur 3 et l'arbre commandé 4 s'é tablit comme salit: Le disque 2 est entraîné et, par suite, l'arbre 4, par le manchon 29 dont les saillie: 28. sont en prise avec les saillies 30. les roues dentées 31, 16 et 18, les pignons 12 et 13, la roue 21 dunt les sail lants 26 sont engagés -dans les creux 25 du disque 2.
Gear switch. This invention relates to a gear change comprising central wheels of which at least one is a control wheel and at least one another a controlled wheel, as well as at least one countershaft. which is mounted a planetary none of each of the central wheels, these planetary wheels being integral with each other and one of them being engaged with a fixed crown, internally toothed.
This speed change comprises the central control wheel mounted freely on a sleeve disposed on the motor shaft so as to rotate with it, but able to move longitudinally on it, the return shaft being carried by rotating supports mounted. on discs fixed on the driven shaft, the central control wheel and one of the.
discs located opposite it being provided with clutch members intended to engage with (the corresponding clutch members of the sleeve on which the central control wheel is located, the dis position of the members of this change ( the speed being such that, when the clutch members of the sleeve come into engagement with those of the central wheel which it carries, it makes it possible to obtain the rotation of the trailing shaft at a number of more turns large than would be obtained with the planetary wheels alone and that,
when the clutch members of this sleeve come into engagement with those of the disc located opposite the central control wheel, they cause a direct drive of the iharshaft driven by the motor shaft, the other gears of the. speed change then remaining without movement, -because the countershaft is rotatably mounted on the discs.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention for a motor vehicle.
Fig. 1 is a sectional view of the gear, including the gearbox; Fig. 2 is a side elevation of the gear shown in FIG. 1, the box being removed; Fig. 3 is an end view, in section, taken on line 3-3 of FIG. 2; Fig. 4 is a section taken along line 4-4 of FIG. 1;
Figs. 5 and 6 are parallel sections taken along lines 5-5 and 6-6, gathered, of the fi-. 1.
With reference to the thread. 1 and 2, balances 1 and 2 are fixed on a driven shaft 4. Rotating supports 5 and 6 are mounted on the rings 1 and 2 and turn on the ball bearings 7 and 8 respectively. 10 and 11 indicate two Countershafts mounted in bearings carried by the two rotary supports 5 and 6, and provided at their center with straight pins 1 \ i, 13, 14 and 1.5, respectively between said bearing bodies, pinions 16, 17, 18 and 19 being outside said bearing bodies.
Further, the speed change wheels 20 and 21 are respectively engaged, the wheel 20 with the pinions 14 and 15 and. the. wheel 21 .with pinions 12 and V_). These wheels are connected by their flanges \? \ ?, 23 on which is placed a retainer 5.1. This is in turn controlled by the ring 52 and Irs levers 51.
The pinion 14 which engages with the gearshift wheel 20 is also engaged with a fixed ring gear 44, internally toothed el; located in a box 60; the purpose of this is to simultaneously rotate the countershafts 10 and 11 around the central shaft and if the vehicle is moving forward it is seen that the rotation of the shaft 4 is increased in this way. If the number of teeth of crown 44 is four times greater than that of pinion 14, it will take four rotations of the latter to rotate shaft 10 around once (the driven shaft 4.
The gear change wheel 21 is provided with coupling protrusions 26 which engage in corresponding recesses 25 in the disc 2 when the wheel is moved in this direction.
The rear face of the disc 1 and provided with coupling-hollow; 27 in which engage the projections 28 of the sleeve 29 mounted on the square end of the arbor 3; the sleeve is constructed the same the internally so as to rotate with the shaft while being able to push back and forth on it. The central pinion 31, provided with coupling projections 30, is mounted idle on the sleeve 29 and is required with the keyed wheels 1.6 and 18, so that,
when the projections 28 are disengaged from the hollows 27, they peuv, @ nt, after having crossed a point; dead, engage with the sail lies 30 and, consequently, turn the wheels 16, 18 on the countershafts 10 and 11 respectively.
It can thus be seen that if the projections 28 are engaged; Clans the hollows 2 7 of the disc 1, the shaft 3 will drive the arbor 4, you by means of the members 29 and 1, this command being called direct control obtained without the inter; cogwheels ention:
, and being cloned due the central gear 31 is not fixed to the sleeve 29. none of the gear wheels will turn when the direct drive is used.
The sleeve 29 is controlled by the pivot lever 39, carried by the transverse shaft 34 and connected to a gag te, flange 38, on the sleeve, by means of journals fixed on said lever.
Referring to: fig. 3, it can be seen that the body of the support 5 is several bushings 35 at one end and 36 at the other end supporting the countershafts 10 and 11, respectively. Referring to the. fib. 5, it can be seen that the body of the support 6 is provided with the bearings .15. -t6,
not only for the return a -r bers 10 and 11, but also # _1 for the idle wheels 42, 43. These supports are assembled: by rods 37.
Assuming that the mating protrusions 28 are in engagement with the protrusions 30 and that the levers 51 are moved to the right of the position shown in the figures. 1 and 2, so that the gearshift wheel 21 is also shifted to the right and its protrusions 26 engaged .;
# in the recesses 25 of the disc 2, la. transmission between the motor shaft 3 and the driven shaft 4 is established as dirt: The disc 2 is driven and, consequently, the shaft 4, by the sleeve 29 whose projections: 28. are in engagement with the protrusions 30. the toothed wheels 31, 16 and 18, the pinions 12 and 13, the wheel 21 and the runners 26 are engaged -in the recesses 25 of the disc 2.
The gear change wheel 20 is provided with projections 9 which, when the levers 51 are moved to the left from the position shown in Figs. 1 and 2, little wind engage in the hollows 24 of the control disc 1; the shaft 4 is driven as before, but at a different speed due to the smaller diameter of the pinions 14 and 15 with respect to the. speed change wheel 20. As a result, the shaft 4 is driven, albeit at a lower speed, with higher power.
A toothed wheel 40 is mounted near the right end of the shaft 4 (fig. 1, 2 and 3), and. By means of ribs 41 it can turn with shaft 4 and slide on this shaft.
So that the countershafts 10, 11 then feel a reverse movement transmitted to the shaft 4, idle wheels 42, 43 are provided which are intended to engage with the toothed wheel 40 on the shaft 4 when move the latter to the left in fig. 1 and 2; these wheels 42, 43 are still dragged by their respective return shafts, by means of the pinions 17 and 19, a movement in the opposite direction is transmitted by them to the wheel 40 and the shaft 4.
The wheel 40 is as.ndée by the levers 64, in turn controlled by a control shaft 57.
Referring to fig. 4 and 6: the low speed gears 14, 15 are engaged with the wheel 20, and the pinions 12, 13 are engaged with the wheel 21.
The control gear, controlling the speed change wheels 20 and 21, of FIG. 6 consists of the shaft 50 and the levers 51 which control the segment ring 52, made up of two parts which are connected together at 53, so that the protrusions 56 (fig. 2 and 6) can be fixed on the guide rods 37, on which is fixed. -shift ring, speed island, by means of pins 61 passing through said projections and rods 37.
The ring 52 is connected to a retaining member 54 (FIG. 6) carrying the piles 55 outwards. up to rods 37; each end of the brackets 55 is provided with a projection 62 to receive the rods 37 which are fixed by the pins 63 to the projections 62; the member 54 is formed so as to embrace the flanges 22, 23 of the wheels 20, 21 respectively (FIG. 1).
The protrusions 62 of the cleats 55 of the member 54 bear against the protrusions 56 of the ring 52 and are connected by the rods 37 which serve sj. moving, longitudinally on the shaft 4, the speed change wheels 20. 21, when the levers 51 are actuated. In this way the projections 26 are engaged in the recesses 25, or else the projections 9 are engaged in the recesses 24 of the discs 1 and the shaft 4 rotates. .
By performing the transmission by means of a single set of wheels, for example the set of wheels 31, 16, 12 and 21, it can be seen that a certain number of rotations is given to the shaft 4 in the ordinary way, assuming that the countershaft 10 rotates on fixed bearings.
But since the shaft 10 is movable and the pinion 1_4 engages the fixed, internally toothed crown 44, a number of additional rotations are imprinted on the gearshift wheel 21 and, consequently, this wheel. and the disc 2 make one more revolution for every four rotations of the pin 14 relative to the internally toothed ring 44, assuming that the ratio of the number of teeth of the latter to that of the teeth. of pinion 14 knows from 4 to 1.
The levers 51, 39 and 64 are connected with a hand control lever and can be interconnected so that, when a lever is actuated, the others are in position to prevent the controlled parts from not being maneuvered wrong.
It is understood that the invention is not limited to the construction shown, since an efficient device could be obtained with a single countershaft (10 and 11) and one or more of them gears mounted on this shaft with corresponding gear change wheels SUT the driven shaft, to achieve one or more gear changes.
