Gear change device for agricultural machinery with motor Agricultural machinery for tillage crops cannot be fitted with a speed change of the type fitted to tractors. teurs, because this type is too bulky and its price is too high.
The gear changes for small agricultural machinery with motor must be of simple construction, robust and have two speeds for forward travel, at least one speed for reverse and allow the drive of a pulley for the power take-off, this pou lie to be able to be actuated by the engine when the agricultural machine is stationary.
The present invention relates to a positive speed change device for an agricultural motor machine, comprising a casing protecting a main shaft, actuating two parallel gear trains capable of being connected alternately to a secondary shaft perpendicular to the shaft. main by the intermediary of a double coupling having a movable part axially along the isecondary shaft,
but angularly fixed with respect thereto and two axially fixed parts freely rotating on said secondary shaft. This change of speed satisfies the aforementioned requirements, in particular by the fact that said main shaft is connected to a drive pinion by a device which allows both to reverse the direction of rotation and carries a pulley for power take-off. The drawing illustrates schematically and by way of example an embodiment of the speed change which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal sectional view.
Fig. 2 is a section taken along the line 11-l1 of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 -is a detail view on a larger scale.
In the drawing, the speed change comprises a housing 1, provided with bearings 2, 3, 4 carrying a main shaft 5. Two crowns 6 and 7 of bevel gear wheels rotate freely on this shaft 5 and are engaged. with a motor pinion 8. The latter is driven by the shaft 9 of a motor 10. The end of this shaft 9 has a cone 11 and a threaded part onto which a nut 12 is screwed.
On this cone is keyed a driving part 13, rotating in a bearing 14 carried .by the housing 1. This driving part 13 has an axis 15 on which is freely mounted the pinion. motor 8, which is tightened using nuts 16 and die spring washers 17 against the front face 18 of the drive part 13.
This mounting of the engine pin therefore constitutes a maximum transmission torque coupling. The axially movable part 19 of a double coupling is mounted on a part 5a of hexagonal cross section of the main shaft, located between the two rings 6 and 7.
This part 19 slides along the shaft 5, but is angularly fixed with respect to the latter and has two radial and frontal teeth 20 and 21, each cut in one of its end faces. These teeth can mesh with two -dentu res 22 and 23, cut in the end faces of the hubs: of the two crowns 6 and 7.
A .collier 24, engaged in a groove 25 and carrying two journals 26 makes it possible to fix, using an operating member 27, the axial position of the .mobile part 19.
One of the ends of the main shaft 5 emerges from the housing 1 and carries a pulley 28 for power take-off. Its other end has a worm 29.
A tangent wheel 30, integral with an intermediate axis 31 is engaged with the worm. This intermediate shaft carries two toothed wheels 32 and 33 of different diameters, each grating with a toothed wheel 34 and 35, rotating freely on a secondary shaft 36. The axial position of each toothed wheel 32, 33 is determined by a boss 32a, 33a of the housing and by a socket 32b and 33b. On the other hand, the axial position of each toothed wheel 34, 35 is fixed by the axial position of the toothed wheels 32, 33, because each toothed wheel 32, 33 has a groove a of a depth approximately equal to the height of the teeth and an endless ring b is placed in this groove.
This ring is preferably of circular section with a diameter such that this ring is located approximately at the height of the pitch circle @ of the toothed wheel.
The toothed wheels 34 and 35 each have a groove c of the same size as the groove has toothed wheels 32, 33. These rings serve as guides for the wheels 34, 35 in order to keep them each in a determined axial position. A double claw coupling allows: to. alternatively connect one or the other of the toothed wheels 34, 35 to the shaft 36. This coupling comprises a part 39 movable axially along a hexagonal part 36a of the shaft 36. This movable part is therefore angularly fixed with respect to this shaft.
The movable part 39 comprises two front teeth 40 and 41 which can engage alternately with two teeth 42 and 43, cut in the faces of the toothed wheels 34 and 35.
The movable part 39 also has a groove 44, in which is engaged a yoke 45 carrying two journals 46. The latter are engaged in two forks 47 and 48, integral with a pin 49, rigidly fixed to an operating member 50 .
A locking device comprising a ball 51, subjected to the action of a spring 52 and cooperating with one or the other of three indentations 53 (only one of which is represented) defines the three axial positions of service of the mobile part 39.
The operation of the speed change described is as follows. The motor pinion drives the two crowns 6 and 7 in the opposite direction to each other. The actuator 27 is actuated by a cable connected to a lever (not shown).
The mechanical connection between the actuator and the axially movable part 12 is similar to that connecting the movable part 39 of the coupling, double to its actuator. The main shaft 5 is therefore driven in one direction or the other depending on whether the toothing 20 is engaged with the toothing 22 or whether the toothing 21 is in engagement with the toothing 23 For the intermediate position of the moving part 19 (position shown in the drawing), the main shaft remains stationary.
The double coupling, formed by the movable part 19 provided with its two front teeth that can be brought into engagement alternately with the front teeth 22 and 23, therefore constitutes a positive device making it possible to reverse the direction of travel of the agricultural machine. . In addition, the secondary shaft 36 can be driven at two different speeds by engaging the movable part 39 with one or the other of the two front den tures 42 or 43.
For the intermediate position of this movable part 39 (position shown in the drawing), the mechanical connection between the main shaft 5 and the main shaft 36 is interrupted.
Thus, the written speed change, of simple and robust design, makes it possible to achieve two forward speeds and two reverse speeds. In addition, the pulley 28 can be driven in one direction or the other or be immobilized by simple operation .de the maneuvering member 27 without risk of driving the shaft 36.
Finally, if the resistive torque acting on the main shaft 5 exceeds a given value, the motor pinion 8 slides on the front face 18. By tightening this motor pinion more or less strongly against the front face 18, it is possible to modify and fix the maximum transmissible engine torque and to choose this in such a way as to avoid any dangerous overloading of the mechanical parts of the gear change device.
One embodiment of the speed change device has been described here by way of example, but multiple variants are possible.
