Abstract

L~invention concerne un acier faiblement allié pour un élément de structure résistant à la chaleur dont on a amélioré la ductilité au fluage à long terme à haute température et la résistance au ramollissement par revenu, caractérisé en ce qu~il comprend de 0,03 à 0,10 % en masse de C, 0,30 % en masse ou moins de Si, 1,0 % en masse ou moins de Mn, plus de 1,5 % en masse et pas plus de 2,5 % en masse de Cr, 0,01 à 1,0 % en masse de Mo, 0,04 à 0,30 % en masse de V, 0,001 à 0,10 % en masse de Nb, 0,001 à 0,020 % en masse de Ti, 0,0001 à 0,020 % en masse de B, 0,001 à 0,01 % en masse d~Al, 0,0001 à 0,05 % en masse de Nd et le solde étant constitué de Fe et d~impuretés, les impuretés comprennant 0,020 % en masse ou moins de P, 0,03 % en masse ou moins de S, moins de 0,0050 % en masse de N et 0,0050 % en masse ou moins d~O (oxygène), et une valeur de BSO représentée par la formule suivante (1) étant comprise entre 0,0001 et 0,010; BSO = B - (11/14)N - (11/32)S - (11/16)O ---- (1) où le symbole d~un élément dans la formule (1) représente la teneur (% en masse) de l~élément. L~acier peut comprendre en outre un ou plusieurs éléments parmi W, Cu, Ni, Co, Mg, Ca, La, Ce, Y, Sm et Pr.
