Abstract

POLINUCLEOTìDEO ISOLADO, POLIPEPTIDEO, CONSTRUçãO RECOMBINANTE, CéLULA, YARROWIA SP. TRANSFORMADA, MéTODOS PARA TRANSFORMAR UMA CéLULA, PRODUZIR UMA PLANTA TRANSFORMADA, PRODUZIR LEVEDURA, PRODUZIR áCIDOS GRAXOS POLIINSATURADOS E PRODUZIR PELO MENOS UM áCIDO GRAXO POLIINSATURADO, SEMENTES, óLEOS, PLANTAS DE SEMENTES OLEAGINOSAS E ALIMENTOS OU RAçõES A presente invenção trata de fragmentos de ácido nucléico isolados e construções recombinantes que compreendem tais fragmentos que codificam uma delta-8 desaturase junto com um método de fabricação de ácidos graxos poliinsaturados (PUFAs) de cadeia longa que usam esta delta-8 desaturase nas plantas e em leveduras oleaginosas.
