Abstract

MEDIçãO DO GRAU DE POLIMERIZAçãO PARA SACARìDEOS CAPSULARES MENINGOCóCICOS QUE CONTéM áCIDO SIáLICO. O grau de polimerização (DP) é um parâmetro importante para análise de antígenos de sacarídeo, particularmente em glicoconjugados. A invenção proporciona métodos que podem ser usados para medir o DP de sacarídeos capsulares, particularmente sacarídeos meningocócicos, por exemplo, dos sorogrupos W135 e Y. Um método preferido é baseado em redução dos resíduos de ácido siálico terminais sobre os sacarídeos, com o DP, então, sendo calculado através de comparação da proporção molar de ácido siálico total para ácido siálico reduzido.
