Abstract
MéTODO DE FABRICAçãO DE UMA ESPUMA FLEXìVEL DE POLIURETANO, PRODUTO DE ESPUMA, E, PREPOLìMERO ESTáVEL AO ARMAZENAMENTO PARA USO NA FABRICAçãO DE ESPUMA FLEXìVEL DE POLIURETANO Espuma flexível de poliuretano é feita por misturação de prepolímero com ingredientes formadores de espuma compreendendo isocianato e água que reagem para dar dióxido de carbono. O prepolímero é terminado em hidroxila, sendo feito por reação de poliol com menos do que uma proporção teórica do isocianato requerida para reagir com grupos hidroxila disponíveis do poliol. O prepolímero é um novo material de partida estável no armazenamento para uso na fabricação de espuma flexível de poliuretano, e a espuma produzida com o prepolímero tem propriedades vantajosas com relação à resistência à hidrólise. O prepolímero pode ser feito com viscosidade baixa ou elevada por seleção apropriada da proporção de isocianato que reage com o poliol. Em altas viscosidades, a estrutura da célula pode ser controlada de modo vantajoso por gaseificação ou desgaseificação apropriadas durante a espumação.
