Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A PRODUçãO DE ACETATO DE VINILA". Em um processo para produção de acetato de vinila em que etileno, ácido acético e gás contendo oxigênio são combinados a uma temperatura elevada na presença de um material catalisador para produzir (i) uma mistura de produtos que compreende acetato de vinila, (ii) um subproduto líquido que compreende ácido acético e água e (iii) um subproduto gasoso que compreende dióxido de carbono, o subproduto líquido é separado da mistura do produto e tratado para reduzir o teor de água nele contido antes de ser reciclado ao reator de tal maneira que a quantidade de água que entra no reator compreende menos que 6% em peso, de uma maneira preferida menos que 4% em peso, de uma maneira mais preferida menos que 3% em peso do total de ácido acético e água que entram no reator.
