Abstract
a presente invenção se refere a um novo método para a produção de metionina ou sua forma análoga de hidróxi por conversão de uma fonte de carbono em um processo fermentativo que compreende cultivar um microrganismo geneticamente modificado para a produção de metionina ou sua forma análoga de hidróxi, em que o dito microrganismo compreende genes funcionais que codificam o sistema de utilização de carboidrato de pts e em que a expressão de proteínas que regulou a expressão de sintase de fosfoenolpiruvato (pps) é regulada de modo decrescente. a presente invenção também se refere ao microrganismo geneticamente modificado usado no método da invenção.
