motor de combustão interna do tipo ignição de centelha. um motor de combustão interna que é dotado de um mecanismo de razão de compressão variável (a) capaz de alterar uma razão de compressão mecânica e um mecanismo de timing de válvula variável (b) capaz de controlar um timing de fechamento de uma válvula de admissão (7). a razão de expansão é feita mais elevada no momento de operação de carga baixa de motor em comparação com no momento de operação de carga elevada do motor. um combustível contendo álcool é utilizado como o combustível, e a razão de expansão no momento de operação de carga baixa de motor é feita para cair quando uma concentração de álcool no combustível é elevada em comparação com quando a concentração de álcool no combustível é baixa.
