Abstract

Un motor de combustión interna de "dos ciclos" tiene una compresión pre-enfriado de una o varias etapas, que permite que la temperatura y la presión del aire de admisión hacia los cilindros de combustión sean estrechamente controladas, de tal manera que un índice de compresión y una presión de compresión pre-ignición más altas sean fácilmente alcanzadas sin acercarse al umbral de auto-ignición. Este motor de "dos ciclos", debido a su mayor índice de compresión, genera una potencia equivalente o mayor a la potencia de un motor "CWPSC" de cuatro ciclos en un espacio menor y más liviano y con la misma o mayor eficiencia.
