Abstract

"MéTODO PARA PRECIPITAçãO DE FERRO, NA FORMA DE HEMATITA, A PARTIR DE UMA SOLUçãO DE SULFATO DE ZINCO". A presente invenção se refere a um método para remoção de ferro, na forma de hematita, de uma solução de sulfato de zinco, em condições atmosféricas, durante a preparação eletrolítica do zinco. De acordo com o referido método, o pH da solução que contém ferro é ajustado para um valor de pelo menos 2, 7, e o gás que contém oxigênio é alimentado à solução, em que parte da hematita assim formada é recirculada para o estágio de precipitação.
