Abstract

"PROCESSO DE EPOXIDAçãO DIRETA USANDO UM SISTEMA MISTO DE CATALISADOR". A presente invenção refere-se a uma reação de epoxidação em fase líquida de uma olefina com hidrogênio e oxigênio na presença de uma mistura de catalisador que contém um zeólito de titânio e um catalisador suportado que produz surpreendentemente menos produtos de anel aberto tais como glicóis quando efetuados na presença de um tampão. Isso é particularmente surpreendente porque um catalisador típico de paládio em zeólito de titânio é pouco efetuado pela presença de um tampão. Surpreendentemente, o uso de um tampão também tipicamente aperfeiçoa a atividade do processo.
