SE PUEDE PRODUCIR UN CATALIZADOR MEZCLADO CON TITANIO Y SILICE POR MEDIO DE PRODUCIR UN COLOIDE LIQUIDO A PARTIR DE UN ALCOXIDO DE SILICIO OPCIONALMENTE PREHIDROLIXADO Y A PARTIR DE UN ALCOXIDO DE TITANIO, CUYA HIDROLIZABILIDAD ESTA REDUCIDA POR UNA FORMACION DE QUELATOS, BAJO UNAS CONDICIONES DE HIDROLISIS ACIDAS O BASICAS, CONVERTIR EN GEL Y ENVEJECER ESTE COLOIDE LIQUIDO, SECAR EL GEL ENVEJECIDO PRODUCIDO DE ESTA MANERA POR LA EXTRACCION DEL DISOLVENTE UTILIZADO EN LA PRODUCCION DEL COLOIDE LIQUIDO Y DEL ALCOHOL PRODUCIDO EN LA HIDROLISIS CON DIOXIDO DE CARBONO SUPERCRITICO Y, SI SE DESEA, CALCINAR EL AEROGEL RESULTANTE A UNAS TEMPERATURAS DE HASTA 1000 (GRADOS) C EN UNA CORRIENTE DE GAS QUE CONTIENE OXIGENO.
