Abstract

"MéTODO E APARELHO PARA UM SISTEMA DE SEPARAçãO TANGENCIAL RECIRCULANTE". Descreve-se um método de separação de uma mistura em uma pluralidade de produtos mais concentrados utilizando a recirculação e a concentração de um produto de modo a extrair uma fração substancialmente grande de um outro produto da mistura; e um aparelho utilizando o presente método em um sistema, como, por exemplo, um sistema de osmose reversa, capaz de proporções de recuperação muito altas, um uso de força eficiente, e uma longa vida dos componentes. Substancialmente 100 % do produto concentrado saindo de um dispositivo de separação tangencial, como, por exemplo, um dispositivo de filtração de osmose reversa, recircular até que a concentração do concentrado atinja um nível predeterminado, em cujo momento o concentrado é purgado do sistema e um novo ciclo se inicia. Isto alcança proporções de recuperação em sistemas de purificação de água de base RO de aproximadamente 70 % para uma água de alimentação com 1.000 ppm de sólidos dissolvidos totais a aproximadamente 97 % para uma água de alimentação com 100 ppm de sólidos dissolvidos totais. O método e o aparelho provêm ainda a limpeza e manutenção automáticas dos elementos de separação e filtração, otimizando, assim, a vida dos componentes.
