Abstract
"CéLULA E PROCESSO PARA REVESTIR SELETIVAMENTE METAL SOBRE UMA SUPERFìCIE EXPOSTA DE UMA CéLULA DE ZINCO/AR". Uma célula de botão de zinco/ar, que compreende um alojamento de catodo e um alojamento de anodo, em que o alojamento do anodo é inserido no alojamento do catodo. O alojamento do anodo é formado de camadas metálicas com vários revestimentos, por exemplo níquel/aço inoxidável/cobre. Um metal protetor é revestido sobre a extremidade periférica exposta do alojamento do anodo. O metal protetor é selecionado, de modo desejável, a partir de cobre, estanho, índio, prata, latão, bronze ou ouro. A aplicação do metal protetor recobre os metais do revestimento múltiplo expostos ao longo da superfície da extremidade periférica. O metal protetor é também revestido, de modo desejável, sobre a porção da superfície externa do alojamento do anodo, que está em contato com o isolamento do material de isolamento colocado entre o alojamento do anodo e do catodo. A aplicação do material protetor à extremidade periférica do alojamento do anodo elimina os gradientes de potencial causados pela exposição dos diferentes metais, que compreendem o material de revestimento múltiplo. Isto reduz a possibilidade de vazamento de eletrólito, que pode ser promovida através de reações secundárias, que ocorrem ao longo da extremidade periférica do alojamento do anodo.
