"ALELOS PRKAG3 E USO DOS MESMOS COMO MARCADORES GENéTICOS PARA TRAçOS DE QUALIDADE DE CARNE E DE REPRODUçãO". São revelados aqui marcadores genéticos para eficiência de reprodução e qualidade de carne de animal, métodos para identificar tais marcadores, e métodos de examinar animais para se determinar aqueles que mais provavelmente produzem maiores ninhadas e/ou melhor qualidade de carne e preferivelmente selecionar aqueles animais para fins de criação futura. Os marcadores se baseiam na presença ou ausência de certos polimorfismos no gene PRKAG3.
