Abstract
"CONJUNTO DE E PROCESSO PARA APLICAçãO NA TERMINAçãO DE UMA OU MAIS FIBRAS óPTICAS". Um conjunto para aplicação na terminação de uma fibra óptica que compreende um corpo externo (10), um primeiro membro (11) localizável no corpo externo (10) e que é portador de um segmento protuberante de fibra óptica (36) que localiza um dispositivo de alinhamento (44, 45) e um alojamento (12) localizável em alinhamento com o primeiro membro (11). O alojamento (12) tem uma abertura de acesso para receber uma fibra óptica (52, 53) a ser terminada de modo que a fibra possa ser localizada no dispositivo de alinhamento em relação de encontro com o segmento de fibra óptica (35). O alojamento tem um compartimento (47) que recebe um elemento adesivo responsivo ao calor (57), uma sela (58) e um resistor (59). Quando uma corrente é passada através do resistor, o calor gerado é transmitido pela sela para o adesivo que derrete e flui em torno da fibra óptica (52, 53) para sua fixação em posição em relação de encontro com o segmento de fibra óptica (35).
