Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "PROCESSAMENTO DE CONCENTRAçãO SEMI-SóLIDA DE LIGAS METáLICAS". Uma liga metálica é processada por resfriamento da liga metálica de uma liga metálica de temperatura elevada inicial para uma temperatura de semi-sólido abaixo da temperatura de líquido da liga e acima da temperatura de sólido e mantendo a liga metálica a uma temperatura de semi-sólido por um tempo suficiente para produzir uma estrutura semi-sólida na liga metálica de uma fase de sólido globular dispersa em uma fase líquida. O resfriamento pode ser realizado por provisão de um cadinho em uma temperatura inicial de cadinho abaixo da temperatura de sólido, derramando a liga metálica dentro do cadinho e deixando a liga metálica e o cadinho alcançarem um equilíbrio térmico entre a temperatura de líquido e a temperatura de sólido da liga metálica.
