Abstract

El control de azufre presente como azufre o un compuesto de azufre en una corriente de alimento hidrocarbonado mientras se efectúa la deshidrogenación de hidrocarburos (por ejemplo, propano) contenido en la corriente de alimento hidrocarbonado en su correspondiente olefina (por ejemplo, propileno, donde el hidrocarburo es propano) sin someter la corriente de alimento a desulfurización antes de entrar en contacto con un catalizador fluidizable de deshidrogenación que es tanto un desulfurante como un catalizador de deshidrogenación y comprende galio y platino en una alúmina o soporte de catalizador de alúmina-sílice con metal alcalino o alcalinotérreo opcional como potasio. El contacto con tal catalizador de un producto de olefina crudo desulfurado que corresponde al hidrocarburo y tiene una cantidad reducida de azufre o compuestos de azufre respecto al azufre o compuestos de azufre presentes en la corriente de alimento hidrocarbonado antes del contacto con el catalizador.
