Abstract
La presente solicitud se refiere al uso de promotores inducibles en la produccion de metionina por fermentacion. La presente solicitud atane a un método para la produccion de metionina, sus precursores o derivados en un proceso de fermentacion que comprende los siguientes pasos: - el cultivo de un microorganismo modificado en un medio de cultivo adecuado que comprende una fuente de carbono, una fuente de azufre y una fuente de nitrogeno, y - la recuperacion de la metionina y/o sus derivados del medio de cultivo, en donde en dicho microorganismo modificado, la expresion de al menos un gen involucrado en la produccion de metionina está bajo el control, directo o indirecto, de un promotor inducible heterologo. La presente solicitud también se refiere a los microorganismos modificados utilizados en el método.
