Abstract

La presente se relaciona con un sol que contiene partículas a base de sílice que tiene una proporcion axial de al menos aproximadamente 10 y área de superficie específica de al menos aproximadamente 600 m2/g. La presente también se relaciona con un sol que contiene partículas a base de sílice que tienen una proporcion axial de al menos aproximadamente 10 y valor-S de hasta aproximadamente 25. La solicitud también se relaciona con un sol que contiene partículas a base de sílice que tienen una proporcion axial de al menos aproximadamente 10 y un área de superficie específica de al menos aproximadamente 400m2/g, en donde las partículas a base de sílice se modifican en la superficie. La presente se relaciona también con un sol que contiene partículas a base de sílice que tienen una viscosidad de al menos 50 cP y contenido de sílice de al menos aproximadamente 3% en peso, en donde las partículas a base de sílice tienen un área de superficie específica de al menos aproximadamente 400 m2/g. La presente se relaciona además con un proceso para producir el sol a base de sílice acuoso de acuerdo con la misma, un sol que contiene partículas a base de sílice obtenible por el proceso, uso del sol que contiene partículas a base de sílice como un agente de floculacion. La solicitud también se relaciona con un proceso para producir papel en el cual el sol que contiene partículas a base de sílice se usa como un auxiliar de drenaje y retencion.
