Abstract
Una sílice coloidal estable, caracterizada porque tiene un área superficial mayor de 700 m2/g y un valor de S de 20-50.La sílice coloidal de la reivindicación 1, caracterizada porque el área superficial es mayor de 800 m2 /g.La sílice coloidal de la reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque tiene un contenido de sólidos en por ciento en peso en base al SiO2 en el rango de 10 a 20 por ciento.Un proceso para la preparación de la sílice coloidal estable de la reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque comprende: (a) cargar un recipiente de reacción con una resina de intercambio iónico catiónica que tiene por lo menos 40 por ciento de su capacidad de intercambio iónico en la forma de hidrógeno en donde el recipiente de reacción tiene medios para separar la sílice coloidal de la resina de intercambio iónico;(b) cargar el recipiente de reacción con un silicato de metal alcalino acuoso que tiene una proporción molar de SiO2 a óxido de metal alcalino, en el rango de 15:1 a 1:1 y un pH de por lo menos10.0;(c) agitar el contenido del recipiente de reacción hasta que el pH del contenido ésta en el rango de 8.5 a 11.0;(d) ajustar el pH del contenido del recipiente de reacción a más del 10.0 al utilizar una cantidad adicional del silicato de metal alcalino; y ...
