Abstract

Una película de la cápsula blanda masticable, adecuada para encapsulacion de medicamentos o sustancias alimenticias, y a un método de fabricar cápsulas de esa película. Las mencionadas cápsulas demuestran una rápida ruptura en la cavidad oral, buen sentido del gusto en la boca y masticabilidad, y rápida disolucion de los componentes de la corteza. En especial, el almidon modificado está sustancialmente no modificado debido por lo menos en parte a la temperatura de procesamiento, y puede actuar como un agente de retencion de agua par promover la hidratacion. Además, las gelatinas se seleccionan para resistencias expandibles que dan por resultado cápsulas robustas que pueden fabricarse con un espesor de pared más delgado que el anteriormente experimentado en la técnica. Consecuentemente, dichas cápsulas delgadas tienen una masa más pequena que las cápsulas tradicionales del mismo tamano y se disuelven más rápidamente que las cápsulas masticables que poseen un espesor mayor. Las cápsulas pueden fabricarse mediante un proceso de matriz giratorio a velocidades mayores que las generalmente conocidas para las cápsulas blandas masticables. Reivindicacion 1: Una cápsula blanda de gelatina comestible, masticable, que comprende una corteza de cápsula formada de una película de la misma, teniendo la película de la cápsula una masa humeda que comprende: gelatina en alrededor de 29% de peso; almidon hidroxipropilado en alrededor de 11% de peso; glicerol en alrededor de 33% de peso; y agua en alrededor de 27% de peso.
