Abstract
Un proceso para activación de un catalizador o precursor de catalizador de metal con soporte ventajoso para la hidrogenación del monóxido de carbono para formar una mezcla de hidrocarburos, que comprende la reducción con un gas con contenido de H a temperatura elevada de manera que por lo menos una porción esté en estado metálico, la impregnación bajo atmósfera no oxidante con una solución de por lo menos un miembro seleccionado entre el grupo que consiste en sales de amonio, sales de alquilamonio y ácidos orgánicos débiles, optativamente también con contenido de amoníaco, a tal punto que haya absorbido un volúmen de solución igual a por lo menos 10 % de su volúmen de poro calculado, oxidando con un oxidante gaseoso en presencia de la solución de impregnación y reduciendo con un gas con contenido de H a temperaturas elevadas para formar un catalizador activo. Los pasos que comienzan con la impregnación se pueden repetir. Optativamente, el catalizador puede ser calcinado tras el paso de oxidación y/o pasivizado después de la activación.
