Abstract
Un reactor que comprende una capa consolidada de catalizador soportado o precursor de catalizador soportado, donde el catalizador soportado o precursor de catalizador soportado comprende una superficie externa compuesta por un metal catalíticamente activo o un compuesto precursor del mismo, y la capa consolidada tiene un contenido hueco de más de 50% y un área de superficie específica de más de 10 cm2/cm3, que es calculada como el área de superficie externa total de las partículas en relacion al volumen de capa: el uso de dicho reactor en un proceso de conversion química; un proceso para la preparacion de hidrocarburos a partir de syngas (gas de síntesis), cuyo proceso comprende contactar una mezcla de monoxido de carbono e hidrogeno en dicho reactor, en el entendimiento que el metal catalíticamente activo es un metal del Grupo VIII que está por lo menos parcialmente presente en forma metálica; una capa consolidada de partículas de catalizador o partículas de precursor de catalizador; y una partícula de catalizador o una partícula de precursor de catalizador.
