Abstract

Una célula electrolítica que produce clorato de sodio utiliza un electrodo, específicamente un ánodo, que posee una superficie o revestimiento o tratamiento de un óxido de metal mixto que posee óxido de rutenio como un electrocatalizador, un metal precioso de un grupo platino o su óxido como un mejorador de estabilidad, óxido de antimonio como un supresor de oxígeno y un aglutinante de óxido de titanio. El revestimiento electrolítico es de alrededor de 21% mol de óxido de rutenio, alrededor de 2% mol de óxido de iridio, alrededor del 4% mol de óxido de antimonio y el resto es óxido de titanio. El revestimiento se caracteriza por la alta durabilidad y bajo contenido de oxígeno en un off-gas o gas de salida.
