Abstract
Se provee un manguito envolvente para sellar ambientalmente un tramo de cable eléctrico, que incluye un cuerpo que se extiende longitudinalmente hecho de un material eléctricamente aislante y que tiene una porcion que se extiende longitudinalmente de seccion transversal corrugada. La porcion que se extiende longitudinalmente tiene un modulo de flexion comprendido entre 4000 y 100.000 psi (280 y 7000 kg/cm2). La porcion que se extiende longitudinalmente define una porcion de una cámara capaz de alojar el tramo de cable cuando el cuerpo es envuelto alrededor del tramo de cable. La cámara puede expandirse en la direccion radial por lo menos alrededor de 15%. La presente invencion puede proveer un manguito envolvente para proteger tramos de cable eléctrico de varias formas y tamanos del ambiente, incluyendo humedad y objetos cortantes. Se provee también métodos para fabricar dicho manguito envolvente y un conjunto que lo incluye.
