Abstract

Un sistema que usa datos GPS para localizar a una persona que solicita ayuda. El sistema incluye una terminal movil que la persona lleva consigo paraobtener los datos GPS de los satélites GPS y transmitirlos, a pedido de la persona, a un centro de me nsajes donde los datos GPS se procesan para calcular laposicion de esa persona. La terminal movil simplemente obtiene datos GPS que no son válidos para el cálculo de la posicion, si la solicitud se efectua desde unlugar donde no está disponible la co nexion con el satélite. Para localizar satisfactoriamente la posicion de una persona, la terminal movil obtiene los datosGPS regularmente en diferentes momentos, de acuerdo con un programa de tiempo, y almacena conjuntos de series temporales de los d atos GPS, que se transmitenjunto con los datos GPS actuales obtenido en respuesta a la solicitud de ayuda, dando así la ultima posicion disponible de la persona, si no resultan válidoslos datos GPS actuales.
