Abstract

Se proporciona un método mejorado para la produccion de hexaborato de calcio tetrahidrato critalino, nobleita sintética, mediante la reaccion deácido borico y oxido de calcio en una lechada acuosa. Las condiciones de reaccion incluyen re lacionesmolares de ácido borico respecto del agua mayoresde 0,25:1, del oxido de calcio respecto del ácido borico comprendidas entre 0,05 y 0,15:1 y temperaturas comprendidas entre 60°C y 85°C. En la lechadade producto acuosa se encuentra una concentracion de por lo menos 25% en peso de solidos sin disolver.
