Abstract

Se expone una composición de fosfuro de metal para generar una mezcla de fosfino y gas(es) diluyente(s), presentada lista para su utilización en unaparato o proceso de hidrólisis en la forma de un material de fosfuro de metal de fluidez librecom puesto por partículas sueltas de dicho fosfuro metálicoesencialmente exentas de polvo, agentes retardantes de hidrólisis y sustancias hidrofóbicas en la forma de revestimientos o aditivos hidrofobizantes. En uso,el fosfuro metálicohidrolizable,de p referencia fosfuro de magnesio,es liberado directamente dentro de agua líquida, en una atmósfera de gas inerte ante elfosfino. La mezcla generada de fosfino y gas portador inerte, tal como, por ejemplo, CO2, es utilizada comotal o es diluida en una cámara para mezcla degases con aire, hasta alcanzar una concentración inferior al límite de ignición, antes de que se lo emplee en fumigación. La composición de fosfuro demetal es fabricada haciendo reaccionar unmetal, seleccionado del grupo consistente en aluminio, calcio y magnesio, dividido finamente, con un fósforoamarillo en una atmósfera de gas inerte y en presencia de un catalizador. Por toda la tanda de reacción y durante la totalidad delproceso, una vez que haco menzado la reacción, la temperatura es mantenida dentro del intervalo de 350 a 550°C. El fosfuro de metal es removido como un material en partículas defluidez libre y es envasado en un recipiente expendedor hermético agases, listo para su util ización en la generación de fosfina en tal condición defluidez libre, esencialmente exento de polvo de fosfuro metálico, de agentes retardadores de la hidrólisis y de sustancias hidrófobas en forma derevestimiento yaditivos hidrofobizantes.
