Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una disposición para reconocer cuando cables de fibras sintéticas (5) de ascensores están próximos para serdescartados. El principio de reconocimiento de la necesidad de descartar un cable se basa en lacombi nación de dos tipos de fibras con diferentescaracterísticas en un cordón (18). Una fibra, es decir la fibra de aramida portante, presenta una elevada resistencia a la fatiga por flexión y unaelevada dilatación específica. La otra fibra, asaber la fibra de carbono eléctricamente conductora (19), presenta un comportamiento friable. Ambos tiposde fibra son retorcidos a un cordón (18). Durante el funcionamiento, las fibras indicadoras de carbono (19) se romperán o desgarrarán acausa de dilatacionesexcesivas o un número de ciclos demasiado elevado de flexiones en forma más temprana que las fibras portantes de aramida de un mismo cordón (18). El númerode fibras indicadoras desgarradas o rotas de carbono (19) puede serdeterminado con la cooperación de una fuente de tensión. Para asegurar que el cable (5)presente una capacidad residual de carga es preciso que solamente un determinado porcentaje de las fibras indicadoras de carbono (19) hayanfallado.Posteriormente el ascensor es desplazado automáticamente hacia una posición predeterminada de estacionamiento y desconectado.
