POSTUPAK IZDVAJANJA CETO-2 GULONSKE KISELINE IZ FERMENTACIONE ŠIRE naznačen time, što obuhvata: izdvajanje nerastvornog dela fermentacione šire ultrafiltriranjem ili filtriranjem u prisustvu sredstva za flokulaciju i sredstva za potpomaganje filtriranja, ili centrifugiranjem u prisustvu sredstva za flokulaciju; koncentraciju dobijene sredine isparavanjem pod sniženim pritiskom ili inverznom osmozom; eliminaciju mineralnih katjona iz koncentrovane sredine dodavanjem sredini sumporne kiseline u praktično stehiometrijskoj količini za taloženje ukupne teorijske količine kalcijum sulfata i izdvajanje kalcijum-sulfata; eliminaciju katjona dovodjenjem u kontakt filtrata sa katjonoizmenjivačkom smolom u H+ obliku; eliminaciju preostalih jona jakih kiselina dovodjenjem u kontakt filtrata sa anjonoizmenjivačkom smolom u OH- obliku; koncentraciju sredine pod sniženim pritis-kom; izdvajanje ceto-2 L gulonske kiseline kristalizacijom polazeći od njenog rastvora ili ekstrakcijom sa ugljovodoničnim rastvaračem u kojem je rastvoren alifatični amin koji sadrži više od 20 atoma ugljenika, zatim ponovnom ekstrakcijom u vodenom rastvoru hlorovodonične, azotne ili sumporne kiseline, i zatim izdvajanjem ceto-2 L gulonske kiseline isparavanjem vodenog ekstrakta.
