前記刷毛部は、前記植毛面に形成された複数の植毛穴のそれぞれに植設された毛束からなり、
前記植毛穴の少なくとも1つは、穴底から植毛面に向かって延びる仕切り板を備える仕切付き植毛穴であり、

なお、以下の実施形態は、本発明の一態様を示すものであり、この発明を限定するものではなく、本発明の技術的思想の範囲内で任意に変更可能である。また、以下の図面においては、各構成をわかりやすくするために、実際の構造と各構造における縮尺や数等を異ならせている。
ハンドル体10は、ヘッド部11と、ヘッド部11の後端側に設けられた把持部12と、ヘッド部11と把持部12とを接続するネック部13と、を備えている。なお、本発明の歯ブラシは、ネック部を備えないものであってもよい。
図2に示すように、ヘッド部11は植毛面14を有し、植毛面14に刷毛部30が設けられている。
加えて、植毛面14に平行で、かつ把持部12が延びる方向、すなわちハンドル体10が延びる方向を長軸方向(図1中のX方向)とし、植毛面14と平行で、かつ長軸方向に直交する方向を短軸方向(図1中のY方向)とし、植毛面14に直交する方向を厚さ方向(図1中のZ方向)とする。また、ヘッド部11が設けられる側を先端側とし、先端側とは逆側(把持部12側)を後端側とする。
図1に示す例では、植毛面14の短軸方向(Y方向)の中央部に正面視形状が円形の6個の植毛穴22が長軸方向(X方向)に等間隔に配置されている。また、6個の植毛穴22の短軸方向(Y方向)の両側には、正面視形状が矩形の四隅が丸みを帯びた略長方形である仕切付き植毛穴21が5個ずつ長軸方向(X方向)に等間隔に配置されている。
なお、仕切付き植毛穴21と植毛穴22の数及び配置パターンは、所望の機能に応じて適宜設定することができる。
ただし、「1つの毛束」とは、毛束を毛先側から正面視したときに、毛先部分で異なる用毛同士を隔てる隙間がないことを意味する。この例では、毛束31を毛先側から正面視したときに、毛先部分で第1用毛31Aと第2用毛31Bとを隔てる隙間がないことを意味する。
仕切付き植毛穴の各空間に用毛を植設する方法は、植毛が容易な点から平線式植毛が好ましいが、限定されるものではなく、インサート成形等を用いてもよい。
ただし、「異なる用毛」とは、毛先形状、用毛径等の形態や、材質の1つ以上が異なる用毛であることを意味し、毛丈のみが異なる用毛は含まれないものとする。また、「毛丈プロファイルが独立している」とは、各々の仕切付き植毛穴の各空間に植設されている異なる用毛が、それぞれの用毛の特徴に適した毛丈となるように個別にプロファイルが設計されていることを意味する。
また、毛束31を構成する第1用毛31Aと第2用毛31Bは同じ仕切付き植毛穴21に植設されて近接しているが、それぞれの用毛の特徴に適するように毛丈プロファイルが独立しているため、各々の機能を最大限に発揮することができる。
第1用毛31A及び第2用毛31Bとして用いる用毛の種類(毛先形状、用毛径、材質等)は、刷毛部30に求める機能に応じて適宜選択できる。
実施形態では、第1用毛31Aが連なった毛丈プロファイルを有する場合、それらの第1用毛31Aは長軸方向に並んでいてもよく、短軸方向に並んでいてもよい。また、連なった毛丈プロファイルを有する第1用毛31Aは、植毛面14を正面視したときに直線的に並ぶ態様には限定されず、例えばジグザグ状に並んでいてもよい。第2用毛31Bが連なった毛丈プロファイルを有する場合も同様である。
なお、例えば仕切り板で仕切られた空間の1つに第3用毛が植設された仕切付き植毛穴が並んで配置されている場合、並んで配置されている第3用毛が連なった毛丈プロファイルを形成していてもよい。
連なった毛丈プロファイルとしては、例えば、アーチ状、ウェーブ状、ドーム状、隣り合う毛束間の毛丈の差が2mm以下の段差状を例示できる。
組み合わせ(1):ラウンド毛からなる第1用毛31Aで毛丈プロファイルがフラット状であり、ST毛からなる第2用毛31Bで毛丈プロファイルが段差状である組み合わせ。この組み合わせにより、歯面清掃機能と歯頚部清掃機能が発現する。
組み合わせ(2):ラウンド毛からなる第1用毛31Aで毛丈プロファイルがアーチ状であり、ST毛からなる第2用毛31Bで毛丈プロファイルが段差状である組み合わせ。この組み合わせにより、歯面清掃機能と歯間清掃機能が発現し、優しい当たり心地が得られる。
組み合わせ(3):ラウンド毛からなる第1用毛31Aで毛丈プロファイルが山切り状であり、ST毛からなる第2用毛31Bで毛丈プロファイルがフラット状である組み合わせ。この組み合わせにより、歯面清掃機能と歯頚部清掃機能が発現する。
組み合わせ(4):ラウンド毛からなる第1用毛31Aで毛丈プロファイルが先端側はタフト状で後端側がアーチ状であり、ST毛からなる第2用毛31Bで毛丈プロファイルが段差状である組み合わせ。この組み合わせにより、歯面清掃機能と咬合面清掃機能が発現し、優しい当たり心地が得られる。
組み合わせ(5):二重芯毛からなる第1用毛31Aで毛丈プロファイルが先端側はタフト状で後端側がアーチ状であり、ST毛からなる第2用毛31Bで毛丈プロファイルが段差状である組み合わせ。この組み合わせにより、歯面美白化機能と歯の裏側の美白化機能が発現し、優しい当たり心地が得られる。
組み合わせ(6):二重芯毛からなる第1用毛31Aで毛丈プロファイルがウェーブ状であり、先端分岐毛からなる第2用毛31Bで毛丈プロファイルがフラット状である組み合わせ。この組み合わせにより、歯面美白化機能と、優しい当たり心地、及び薬剤送達機能が発現する。
組み合わせ(7):断面星形の異形断面用毛からなる第1用毛31Aで毛丈プロファイルがアーチ状であり、表面にエンボス加工を施した表面加工毛からなる第2用毛31Bで毛丈プロファイルがフラット状である組み合わせ。この組み合わせにより、歯面清掃機能と優れた外観が発現する。
なお、これらの組み合わせにおいて、第1用毛31Aと第2用毛31Bとを入れ替えてもよい。
仕切付き植毛穴21の深さは、2.0mm以上が好ましく、2.5mm以上がより好ましく、また4.5mm以下が好ましく、4.0mm以下がより好ましい。仕切付き植毛穴21の深さの下限と上限は任意に組み合わせることができ、例えば2.0~4.5mmが好ましく、2.5~4.0mmがより好ましい。
なお、一般に植毛穴の穴底には、底に向かうにつれて漸次縮径するC面(縮径テーパー面)を形成するC面加工が施されるが、この場合の仕切付き植毛穴の深さとは、深さ方向における植毛面からC面と内壁面との境界までの距離とする。
用毛の断面形状が真円でない場合の用毛の断面積は、当該用毛の基部の断面における最大径の円の面積を採用する。
断面積S1A~S1Cは、それぞれの基準位置において、仕切付き植毛穴21の植毛面14と平行な断面の断面積から、仕切り板が存在する場合にはその断面積を差し引くことによって算出する。ただし、断面積S1A~S1Cは、第1平線33A及び第2平線33Bが打ち込まれる前の断面積であり、それらの算出においては、第1平線33A及び第2平線33Bは存在しないものと見なす。
仕切り板23の先端23aが植毛面14よりも穴底21a側に位置していると、第1用毛31Aと第2用毛31Bが毛先領域で纏まりやすくなる。そのため、第1用毛31Aと第2用毛31Bが纏まりをもって動きやすく、各々の機能が精緻に発現されやすくなる。
仕切り板23をその厚さ方向に切断した断面形状は、図4に示す例では台形状であるが、限定されるものではなく、三角形状、長方形状等であってもよい。
穴底21aに対する仕切り板23の第1側面23cの傾斜角度は、80.0度以上が好ましく、82.5度以上がより好ましい。第1側面23cの傾斜角度が前記下限値以上であれば、第1用毛31Aと第2用毛31Bが毛先領域で過度に混ざることを抑制しやすく、それぞれの機能を発現させやすい。また第1側面23cで第1用毛31Aを支えやすく毛腰を確保しやすい。第1側面23cの傾斜角度は、89.5度以下が好ましく、88.0度以下がより好ましい。第1側面23cの傾斜角度が前記上限値以下であれば、第1用毛31Aと第2用毛31Bが毛先領域で纏まりやすく、各々の機能を精緻に発現させやすい。第1側面23cの傾斜角度の下限と上限は任意に組み合わせることができ、例えば80.0~89.5度が好ましく、82.5~88.0度がより好ましい。
長さD3に対する厚さD1の比率は長さD3に対する厚さD2の比率よりも小さいことが好ましい。これにより、第1用毛31Aと第2用毛31Bが毛先領域で纏まりやすく、各々の機能を精緻に発現させやすい。
H1は、0.3mm以上が好ましく、0.5mm以上がより好ましい。H1が前記下限値以上であれば、第1用毛31Aが適度に広がって毛先領域で第2用毛31Bと纏まりやすく、各機能が精緻に発現しやすい。H1は、1.1mm以下が好ましく、0.9mm以下がより好ましい。H1が前記上限値以下であれば、毛腰を確保しやすい。H1の下限と上限は任意に組み合わせることができ、例えば0.3~1.1mmが好ましく、0.5~0.9mmがより好ましい。
仕切り板23の先端23aと第2平線33Bとの位置関係についても、仕切り板23の先端23aと第1平線33Aとの位置関係と同様である。
植毛穴22の深さは、2.2mm以上が好ましく、2.5mm以上がより好ましく、また4.5mm以下が好ましく、4.2mm以下がより好ましい。植毛穴22の深さの下限と上限は任意に組み合わせることができ、例えば2.2~4.5mmが好ましく、2.5~4.2mmがより好ましい。
植毛穴22に植設する用毛の材質についても、第1用毛31A及び第2用毛31Bで例示したものと同じ用毛を例示できる。
植毛穴22に植設する用毛の毛丈及び用毛径の好ましい態様は、第1用毛31A及び第2用毛31Bの毛丈及び用毛径の好ましい態様と同じである。
植毛穴22に植設する用毛の毛丈プロファイルは、特に限定されず、第1用毛31A及び第2用毛31Bで例示したものと同じ用毛を例示でき、例えば第1用毛31Aの毛丈プロファイルと同じプロファイルとすることができる。
例えば、図8に例示した歯ブラシ2であってもよい。図8における図1と同じ部分には同符号を付して説明を省略する。
歯ブラシ2は、仕切付き植毛穴21の長さ方向と長軸方向(X方向)とのなす劣角θが0°<θ<90°となるように、各々の仕切付き植毛穴21が植毛面14に配置されている以外は、歯ブラシ1と同様の態様である。ただし、仕切付き植毛穴21の長さ方向は、植毛面14の正面視で仕切り板23の厚さ方向と一致する。
なお、短軸方向(Y方向)の両側において、正面視で先端側が開くように各々の仕切付き植毛穴21が長軸方向に対して傾斜するように配置されていてもよい。この場合は、ブラッシングする際に第2用毛31B、第1用毛31Aの順に歯や歯茎に当たるため、それらの機能を充分に違和感なく発現させることが容易になる。
また、短軸方向の中央側の空間に第1用毛が植設され、外側の空間に第2用毛が植設された仕切付き植毛穴と、外側の空間に第1用毛が植設され、中央側の空間に第2用毛が植設された仕切付き植毛穴とが、長軸方向に交互に直線的に並んだ態様であってもよい。この態様では、植毛面の正面視で、各仕切付き植毛穴の第1空間と第2空間は長軸方向においてそれぞれジグザグに蛇行した配置になる。
その他、用毛の種類、植毛穴の配列、形状、サイズ、深さ、毛丈プロファイル、異種用毛の位置関係等、本発明の趣旨に逸脱しない範囲で、前記実施形態における構成要素を周知の構成要素に置き換えることは適宜可能であり、また、前記した変形例を適宜組み合わせてもよい。
図1~3に示した歯ブラシ1と同様の形態で、表1に示す仕様に従って歯ブラシを作製した。
ハンドル体を構成する樹脂としてはポリプロピレンを用いた。仕切りのない植毛穴は、直径を2.2mm、深さを2.9mmとした。各々の仕切りのない植毛穴には二重芯ラウンド毛(用毛C、用毛径:6.5mil、毛丈9.0mm)を平線式植毛によって130本植設した。仕切付き植毛穴は、長さを3.5mm、幅を1.45mm、深さを2.9mmとした。各々の仕切付き植毛穴の仕切り板で仕切られた第1空間には第1用毛(用毛A)としてスパイラルラウンド毛(材質:ナイロン)を平線式植毛によって植設し、第2空間には第2用毛(用毛B)としてST毛(材質:ポリブチレンテレフタレート)を平線式植毛によって植設した。
用毛A及び用毛Cの長軸方向の毛丈プロファイルは、図2に示す9mmのフラット状とした。用毛Bの長軸方向の毛丈プロファイルは、図3に示す先端側から7.5mm、10mm、9.0mm、7.5mm、10mmの段差状とした。
表1に示す仕様とする以外は、実施例1と同様にして歯ブラシを作製した。

用毛A及び用毛Cの長軸方向の毛丈プロファイルは、図10(A)に示すウェーブ状(最高毛丈:10mm、最低毛丈:8.5mm)とした。用毛Bの長軸方向の毛丈プロファイルは、図10(B)に示す先端側から10mm、10mm、9.0mm、9.0mm、10mmの段差状とした。
各仕切付き植毛穴の仕切り板を除き、表2に示す仕様とする以外は、実施例1と同様にして歯ブラシを作製した。用毛A及び用毛Cの長軸方向の毛丈プロファイルと、用毛Bの長軸方向の毛丈プロファイルは、実施例3~8と同様とした。
用毛A及び用毛Bの両方にストレート毛を用い、表2に示す仕様とする以外は、実施例1と同様にして歯ブラシを作製した。用毛A及び用毛Cの長軸方向の毛丈プロファイルと、用毛Bの長軸方向の毛丈プロファイルは、実施例3~8と同様とした。
用毛A及び用毛Cの長軸方向の毛丈プロファイルと、用毛Bの長軸方向の毛丈プロファイルの両方を図10(A)に示すウェーブ状とし、表2に示す仕様とする以外は、実施例1と同様にして歯ブラシを作製した。
(1)口腔内の狙った部位に対する各用毛の機能を実感できる程度
10人の専門家パネルが各例の歯ブラシで口腔内を清掃し、下記の判定基準で判定した。10人の専門家パネルの平均点に基づき、下記の評価基準で評価とした。
<判定基準>
7点:非常に感じられる。
6点:かなり感じられる。
5点:よく感じられる。
4点:感じられる。
3点:まずまず感じられる。
2点:ほとんど感じられない。
1点:全く感じられない。
<評価基準>
◎(Very good):平均点が5.5点以上。
○(Good):平均点が4.5点以上5.5点未満。
△(Not bad):平均点が3.5点以上4.5点未満。
×(Bad):平均点が3.5点未満。
10人の専門家パネルが各例の歯ブラシで口腔内を清掃し、下記の判定基準で判定した。10人の専門家パネルの平均点に基づき、下記の評価基準で評価とした。
<判定基準>
7点:全く違和感なく磨ける。
6点:極僅かな違和感で磨ける。
5点:僅かな違和感で磨ける。
4点:少しの違和感で磨ける。
3点:違和感があるが許容できる。
2点:かなり違和感がある。
1点:非常に違和感がある。
<評価基準>
◎(Very good):平均点が5.5点以上。
○(Good):平均点が4.5点以上5.5点未満。
△(Not bad):平均点が3.5点以上4.5点未満。
×(Bad):平均点が3.5点未満。
なお、表1及び表2における「用毛Aと用毛Bの斜め配置の有無」が「有り」とは、図8に示すように、植毛面の正面視で後端側が開くように各々の仕切付き植毛穴の長さ方向が長軸方向に対して傾斜(劣角θ=45度)する配置とし、各々の仕切付き植毛穴の短軸方向の中央側の空間に用毛A、外側の空間に用毛Bを配置したことを意味する。
Claims (7)
- 植毛面を有するヘッド部と、前記植毛面に設けられた刷毛部と、前記ヘッド部の後端側に設けられた把持部と、を備える歯ブラシであって、
前記刷毛部は、前記植毛面に形成された複数の植毛穴のそれぞれに植設された毛束からなり、
前記植毛穴の少なくとも1つは、穴底から植毛面に向かって延びる仕切り板を備える仕切付き植毛穴であり、
前記仕切付き植毛穴の前記仕切り板によって仕切られた各空間にはそれぞれ異なる用毛が植設され、それら各空間に植設された異なる用毛は毛先領域で纏まって1つの毛束を形成し、かつ毛丈プロファイルが独立している、歯ブラシ。 - 前記複数の植毛穴が、前記植毛面に並んで配置された複数の前記仕切付き植毛穴を含み、それら各々の前記仕切付き植毛穴内の前記仕切り板によって仕切られた各空間に植設され、かつ並んで配置されている同種の用毛の少なくとも1つが、連なった毛丈プロファイルを形成している、請求項1に記載の歯ブラシ。
- 前記植毛面の正面視で前記仕切り板の厚さ方向を前記仕切付き植毛穴の長さ方向としたとき、前記仕切付き植毛穴の長さ方向と、前記植毛面と平行で前記把持部が延びる方向である長軸方向とのなす劣角θが0°<θ<90°である、請求項2に記載の歯ブラシ。
- 前記仕切付き植毛穴の前記植毛面と平行な断面における、前記仕切付き植毛穴の前記仕切り板を除く領域の断面積(ただし、仕切付き植毛穴内に平線が存在する場合は当該平線が打ち込まれる前の断面積とする。)をS1(mm2)、前記仕切付き植毛穴の前記植毛面の位置での用毛の断面積の総和をS2(mm2)、S1に対するS2の百分率をPF(%)とし、
前記仕切付き植毛穴の前記植毛面の位置でのPFをPFA、穴底の位置でのPFをPFCとしたとき、
PFA/PFCが0.70~0.90である、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の歯ブラシ。 - 前記仕切り板の先端の厚さが基端の厚さよりも薄い、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の歯ブラシ。
- 前記仕切り板の先端が前記植毛面よりも穴底側に位置している、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の歯ブラシ。
- 前記仕切付き植毛穴の各空間に平線式植毛によってそれぞれ異なる用毛が植設され、
前記仕切付き植毛穴における穴底から平線の下端までの距離をH1、穴底から平線の上端までの距離をH2、穴底から前記仕切り板の先端までの距離をH3としたとき、
H1が0.3~1.1mmであり、
H2-H3が-0.5~1.0mmである、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の歯ブラシ。
