[기술분야]
본 발명은 화학적 재활용된 단량체 단위를 포함하는 매트릭스 수지를 포함하여 탄소 발생 저감 효과를 통해 친환경적이면서도, 기계적 물성 및 내후성이 우수한 투명 수지 조성물 및 이로부터 성형된 성형품에 관한 것이다.
전세계적으로 친환경과 관련한 정책과 규제가 강화되고 있다. 이 중에서도 탄소 배출량을 감소시키기 위해 폐플라스틱을 재활용하는 방안들이 대두되고 있고, 이 중 PCR 소재(Post Consumer Recycled material)에 대한 연구 및 개발이 진행되고 있다.
PCR 소재는 단순히 원가 절감 목적의 저가용 재생 소재가 아니라, 소비자가 사용을 완료한 후, 폐기된 제품을 재활용하여 환경에 기여할 수 있는 소재를 의미한다. PCR 소재로 재활용하는 방법은 큰 범주에서 기계적 재활용 방법과, 화학적 재활용 방법으로 나뉜다.
기계적 재활용 방법은 플라스틱 폐기물을 파쇄 및 세척하여 재활용하는 방법으로, 이물 및 금속 등을 선별하는 능력이 중요하다. 기계적 재활용 방법은 재활용을 위한 기계적 분해 과정에서 열에너지의 소모가 낮아 탄소 저감 효과가 큰 장점이 있으나, 재활용 시 이물 및 금속 등을 선별하더라도 실질적으로 완전히 제거하기에는 어려움이 있어 버진(virgin) 소재 대비 품질이 저하되고, 품질의 균일성도 담보하기 어려운 문제가 있다. 특히, 투명성이 요구되는 제품에 적용하기 위한 투명 수지의 경우, 재활용 시 이물 및 금속 등이 혼합되면 투명성이 저하되는 문제가 발생할 수 있다.
화학적 재활용 방법은 플라스틱의 분자 구조 자체를 분해시켜, 순수한 원료 상태로 되돌리는 화학적 방법을 이용하여 재활용하는 방법으로, 최근 기술 개발 속도가 가속화되고 있다. 화학적 재활용 방법은 순수한 원료 상태로 재활용하기 때문에, 재활용 시 기계적 재활용 방법에 비해 버진(virgin) 소재와 동등한 수준의 품질을 구현할 수 있는 장점이 있다.
한편, 투명 수지가 옥외에서 사용되거나, 옥내에서 사용되더라도 계속하여 외부 광선에 노출되는 경우, 내후성이 충분히 확보되지 못하면, 투명성이 저하되는 문제가 발생하게 된다. 따라서, 투명 수지에 있어서, 내후성을 확보하는 것은 중요하다.

본 발명에서 해결하고자 하는 과제는, 상기 발명의 배경이 되는 기술에서 언급한 문제들을 해결하기 위하여, 투명 수지로서 PCR 소재를 이용하여 친환경적이면서도, 버진 소재와 동등한 수준의 기계적 물성을 확보하고, 내후성을 개선하는 것이다.
즉, 본 발명은 화학적 재활용된 단량체 단위를 포함하는 매트릭스 수지를 포함하여 탄소 발생 저감 효과를 통해 친환경적이면서도, 기계적 물성 및 내후성이 우수한 투명 수지 조성물 및 이로부터 성형된 성형품을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
상기 과제를 해결하기 위하여, 본 발명은 투명 수지 조성물 및 성형품을 제공한다.
(1) 본 발명은 고무질 중합체를 포함하는 투명 그라프트 공중합체; 투명 매트릭스 수지; 및 자외선 흡수제를 포함하고, 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지는 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위를 포함하고, 상기 자외선 흡수제는 벤조페논계 자외선 흡수제 및 벤조트리아졸계 자외선 흡수제로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상을 포함하는 것인 투명 수지 조성물을 제공한다.
(2) 본 발명은 상기 (1)에 있어서, 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체는, 공액디엔계 고무질 중합체, 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위, 방향족 비닐계 단량체 단위 및 비닐시안계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 것인 투명 수지 조성물을 제공한다.
(3) 본 발명은 상기 (1) 또는 (2)에 있어서, 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 5 중량부 이상 60 중량부 이하인 투명 수지 조성물을 제공한다.
(4) 본 발명은 상기 (1) 내지 (3) 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 40 중량부 이상 95 중량부 이하인 투명 수지 조성물을 제공한다.
(5) 본 발명은 상기 (1) 내지 (4) 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지는 제1 투명 매트릭스 수지; 및 제2 투명 매트릭스 수지를 포함하고, 상기 제2 투명 매트릭스 수지는 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 것인 투명 수지 조성물을 제공한다.
(6) 본 발명은 상기 (5)에 있어서, 상기 제1 투명 매트릭스 수지는 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위, 방향족 비닐계 단량체 단위 및 비닐시안계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 것인 투명 수지 조성물을 제공한다.
(7) 본 발명은 상기 (5) 또는 (6)에 있어서, 상기 제2 투명 매트릭스 수지는 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위, 방향족 비닐계 단량체 단위 및 비닐시안계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 것인 투명 수지 조성물을 제공한다.
(8) 본 발명은 상기 (5) 내지 (7) 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 상기 제1 투명 매트릭스 수지의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 10 중량부 이상 70 중량부 이하이고, 상기 제2 투명 매트릭스 수지의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 10 중량부 이상 80 중량부 이하인 투명 수지 조성물을 제공한다.
(9) 본 발명은 상기 (1) 내지 (8) 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 상기 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위를 형성하는 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체는 폐인조 대리석으로부터 화학적 재활용된 것인 투명 수지 조성물을 제공한다.
(10) 본 발명은 상기 (1) 내지 (9) 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 상기 벤조페논계 자외선 흡수제는 2-히드록시-4-(옥틸옥시)벤조페논 및 2,2'-디히드록시-4-메톡시벤조페논으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상인 것인 투명 수지 조성물을 제공한다.
(11) 본 발명은 상기 (1) 내지 (10) 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 상기 벤조트리아졸계 자외선 흡수제는 2-(2-히드록시-5-tert-옥틸페닐)벤조트리아졸인 것인 투명 수지 조성물을 제공한다.
(12) 본 발명은 상기 (1) 내지 (11) 중 어느 하나에 있어서, 상기 자외선 흡수제의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 0.01 중량부 이상 1.00 중량부 이하인 투명 수지 조성물을 제공한다.
(13) 본 발명은 상기 (1) 내지 (12) 중 어느 하나에 따른 투명 수지 조성물로 성형된 성형품을 제공한다.
본 발명에 따른 투명 수지 조성물은 화학적 재활용된 단량체 단위를 포함하는 매트릭스 수지를 포함하여 탄소 발생 저감 효과를 통해 친환경적이면서도, 기계적 물성 및 내후성이 우수하다.
이하, 본 발명에 대한 이해를 돕기 위하여 본 발명을 더욱 상세하게 설명한다.
본 발명의 설명 및 청구범위에서 사용된 용어나 단어는, 통상적이거나 사전적인 의미로 한정해서 해석되어서는 아니 되며, 발명자는 그 자신의 발명을 가장 최선의 방법으로 설명하기 위해 용어의 개념을 적절하게 정의할 수 있다는 원칙에 입각하여, 본 발명의 기술적 사상에 부합하는 의미와 개념으로 해석되어야만 한다.
본 발명에서 용어 '단량체 단위'는 단량체로부터 기인한 성분, 구조 또는 그 물질 자체를 나타내는 것일 수 있고, 구체적인 예로, 중합체의 중합 시, 투입되는 단량체가 중합 반응에 참여하여 중합체 내에서 이루는 반복단위를 의미하는 것일 수 있다.
본 발명에서 사용하는 용어 '조성물'은 해당 조성물의 재료로부터 형성된 반응 생성물 및 분해 생성물뿐만 아니라 해당 조성물을 포함하는 재료들의 혼합물을 포함한다.
본 발명은 PCR 소재를 포함하는 투명 수지 조성물을 제공한다. 본 발명에서, 상기 PCR 소재는 화학적 재활용된 단량체를 이용한 화학적 재활용 방법에 따른 PCR 소재를 의미한다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 수지 조성물은 고무질 중합체를 포함하는 투명 그라프트 공중합체; 투명 매트릭스 수지; 및 자외선 흡수제를 포함하고, 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지는 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위를 포함하고, 상기 자외선 흡수제는 벤조페논계 자외선 흡수제 및 벤조트리아졸계 자외선 흡수제로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상을 포함하는 것일 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 수지 조성물은 PCR 소재로서 투명 매트릭스 수지를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 이와 같이 PCR 소재로서 투명 매트릭스 수지를 포함하는 경우, 버진 소재인 투명 매트릭스 수지만을 이용하는 것에 비해 온실 기체인 이산화탄소 발생량을 저감시킬 수 있고, 이에 따른 탄소 발생 저감 효과를 통해 친환경적인 장점이 있다.
본 발명에서 기재하는 공액디엔계 고무질 중합체는 공액디엔계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 고무질 중합체일 수 있고, 구체적인 예로 상기 공액디엔계 단량체 단위를 형성하는 공액디엔계 단량체는 1,3-부타디엔, 2,3-디메틸-1,3-부타디엔, 피페릴렌, 3-부틸-1,3-옥타디엔, 이소프렌 및 2-페닐-1,3-부타디엔으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상일 수 있으며, 더욱 구체적인 예로 1,3-부타디엔일 수 있다.
본 발명에서 기재하는 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위를 형성하기 위한 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체는 탄소수 1 내지 18의 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트, 탄소수 1 내지 12의 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트, 또는 탄소수 1 내지 6의 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트일 수 있다. 여기서 (메트)아크릴레이트는 아크릴레이트 또는 메타크릴레이트를 의미할 수 있다. 상기 탄소수 1 내지 18의 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체는 메틸 (메트)아크릴레이트일 수 있고, 구체적인 예로 메틸 메타크릴레이트일 수 있다. 또한, 상기 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체는 버진 단량체일 수 있고, 화학적 재활용된 단량체일 수 있으나, 화학적 재활용된 단량체로 특별히 언급하지 않는 한 버진 단량체를 의미하는 것일 수 있다.
본 발명에서 기재하는 방향족 비닐계 단량체 단위를 형성하기 위한 방향족 비닐계 단량체는 스티렌, α-메틸스티렌, 3-메틸스티렌, 4-메틸스티렌, 4-프로필스티렌, 1-비닐나프탈렌, 4-시클로헥실스티렌, 4-(p-메틸페닐)스티렌 및 1-비닐-5-헥실나프탈렌으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상일 수 있고, 구체적인 예로 스티렌일 수 있다.
본 발명에서 기재하는 비닐시안계 단량체 단위를 형성하기 위한 비닐시안계 단량체는 아크릴로니트릴, 메타크릴로니트릴, 에타크릴로니트릴, 페닐아크릴로니트릴 및 α-클로로아크릴로니트릴로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상일 수 있고, 구체적인 예로 아크릴로니트릴일 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체는 공액디엔계 고무질 중합체, 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위, 방향족 비닐계 단량체 단위 및 비닐시안계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 것일 수 있다. 구체적인 예로, 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체는, 공액디엔계 고무질 중합체에 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체, 방향족 비닐계 단량체 및 비닐시안계 단량체가 그라프트 중합된 것일 수 있고, 코어-쉘 형태를 가질 수 있으며, 이 때, 코어는 상기 공액디엔계 고무질 중합체를 포함하고, 쉘은 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위, 방향족 비닐계 단량체 단위 및 비닐시안계 단량체 단위를 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체의 공액디엔계 고무질 중합체는 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체에 대하여, 30 중량% 이상, 35 중량% 이상, 40 중량% 이상, 또는 45 중량% 이상의 함량으로 포함될 수 있고, 또한, 70 중량% 이하, 65 중량% 이하, 60 중량% 이하, 또는 55 중량% 이하의 함량으로 포함될 수 있으며, 이 범위 내에서 투명 수지 조성물의 기계적 물성이 우수한 효과가 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체의 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위는 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체에 대하여, 10 중량% 이상, 15 중량% 이상, 20 중량% 이상, 25 중량% 이상, 또는 30 중량% 이상의 함량으로 포함될 수 있고, 또한, 50 중량% 이하, 45 중량% 이하, 40 중량% 이하, 또는 35 중량% 이하의 함량으로 포함될 수 있으며, 이 범위 내에서 투명 매트릭스 수지에 대한 상용성이 우수하고, 투명성 및 기계적 물성이 우수한 효과가 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체의 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위는 버진 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 및/또는 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체로부터 형성된 것일 수 있고, 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체로부터 형성된 단량체 단위를 포함하는 경우, 친환경성을 더욱 향상시킬 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체의 방향족 비닐계 단량체 단위는 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체에 대하여, 1 중량% 이상, 3 중량% 이상, 5 중량% 이상, 또는 10 중량% 이상의 함량으로 포함될 수 있고, 또한, 30 중량% 이하, 25 중량% 이하, 20 중량% 이하, 또는 15 중량% 이하의 함량으로 포함될 수 있으며, 이 범위 내에서 투명 매트릭스 수지에 대한 상용성이 우수하고, 투명성 및 기계적 물성이 우수한 효과가 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체의 비닐시안계 단량체 단위는 투명 그라프트 공중합체에 대하여, 1 중량% 이상, 2 중량% 이상, 3 중량% 이상, 4 중량% 이상, 또는 5 중량% 이상의 함량으로 포함될 수 있고, 또한, 20 중량% 이하, 15 중량% 이하, 10 중량% 이하, 또는 8 중량% 이하의 함량으로 포함될 수 있으며, 이 범위 내에서 투명 매트릭스 수지에 대한 상용성이 우수하고, 투명성 및 기계적 물성이 우수한 효과가 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체의 굴절률은 1.500 이상, 1.505 이상, 1.510 이상, 또는 1.515 이상일 수 있고, 또한, 1.530 이하, 1.525 이하, 1.520 이하, 또는 1.518 이하일 수 있다. 이 때 상기 굴절률은 아베 굴절계를 이용하여 측정된 것일 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 수지 조성물에 있어서, 투명 그라프트 공중합체의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 5 중량부 이상 60 중량부 이하일 수 있다. 구체적인 예로, 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 5 중량부 이상, 10 중량부 이상, 15 중량부 이상, 20 중량부 이상, 또는 25 중량부 이상일 수 있고, 또한, 60 중량부 이하, 55 중량부 이하, 50 중량부 이하, 45 중량부 이하, 40 중량부 이하, 또는 35 중량부 이하일 수 있으며, 이 범위 내에서 그라프트 공중합체 포함된 고무질 중합체의 함량에 따라, 투명 수지 조성물의 색상, 가공성 및 기계적 물성을 조절할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지는 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 것일 수 있고, 구체적인 예로, 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위, 방향족 비닐계 단량체 단위 및 비닐시안계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 것일 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지의 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위는 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지에 대하여, 50 중량% 이상, 55 중량% 이상, 60 중량% 이상, 65 중량% 이상, 또는 58 중량% 이상의 함량으로 포함될 수 있고, 또한, 80 중량% 이하, 75 중량% 이하, 70 중량% 이하, 또는 69 중량% 이하의 함량으로 포함될 수 있으며, 이 범위 내에서 투명 그라프트 공중합체와 상용성이 우수하고, 투명성 및 기계적 물성이 우수한 효과가 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지의 방향족 비닐계 단량체 단위는 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지에 대하여, 5 중량% 이상, 10 중량% 이상, 15 중량% 이상, 또는 20 중량% 이상의 함량으로 포함될 수 있고, 또한, 40 중량% 이하, 35 중량% 이하, 30 중량% 이하, 또는 25 중량% 이하의 함량으로 포함될 수 있으며, 이 범위 내에서 투명 그라프트 공중합체와 상용성이 우수하고, 투명성 및 기계적 물성이 우수한 효과가 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지의 비닐시안계 단량체 단위는 투명 매트릭스 수지에 대하여, 1 중량% 이상, 2 중량% 이상, 3 중량% 이상, 4 중량% 이상, 또는 5 중량% 이상의 함량으로 포함될 수 있고, 또한, 20 중량% 이하, 15 중량% 이하, 10 중량% 이하, 또는 8 중량% 이하의 함량으로 포함될 수 있으며, 이 범위 내에서 투명 그라프트 공중합체와 상용성이 우수하고, 투명성 및 기계적 물성이 우수한 효과가 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지의 굴절률은 1.500 이상, 1.505 이상, 1.510 이상, 또는 1.515 이상일 수 있고, 또한, 1.530 이하, 1.525 이하, 1.520 이하, 또는 1.518 이하일 수 있다. 이 때 상기 굴절률은 아베 굴절계를 이용하여 측정된 것일 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 수지 조성물에 있어서, 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 40 중량부 이상 95 중량부 이하일 수 있다. 구체적인 예로, 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 40 중량부 이상, 45 중량부 이상, 50 중량부 이상, 55 중량부 이상, 60 중량부 이상, 또는 65 중량부 이상일 수 있고, 또한, 95 중량부 이하, 90 중량부 이하, 85 중량부 이하, 80 중량부 이하, 또는 75 중량부 이하일 수 있으며, 이 범위 내에서 그라프트 공중합체 포함된 고무질 중합체의 함량에 따라, 투명 수지 조성물의 색상, 가공성 및 기계적 물성을 조절할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지는 제1 투명 매트릭스 수지; 및 제2 투명 매트릭스 수지를 포함하고, 상기 제2 투명 매트릭스 수지는 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 것일 수 있다. 구체적인 예로, 상기 제1 투명 매트릭스 수지는 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위, 방향족 비닐계 단량체 단위 및 비닐시안계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 것일 수 있고, 상기 제2 투명 매트릭스 수지는 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위, 방향족 비닐계 단량체 단위 및 비닐시안계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 것일 수 있다. 이 경우, 버진 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 제1 매트릭스 수지로부터 투명 수지 조성물의 투명성 및 기계적 물성은 더욱 향상시키면서도, 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 제2 매트릭스 수지로부터 친환경적 장점을 동시에 확보할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 수지 조성물에 있어서, 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지가 제1 투명 매트릭스 수지 및 제2 투명 매트릭스 수지를 포함하는 경우, 상기 제1 투명 매트릭스 수지의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 10 중량부 이상 70 중량부 이하일 수 있고, 상기 제2 투명 매트릭스 수지의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 10 중량부 이상 80 중량부 이하일 수 있다. 구체적인 예로, 상기 제1 투명 매트릭스 수지의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 10 중량부 이상, 20 중량부 이상, 25 중량부 이상, 또는 30 중량부 이상일 수 있고, 또한, 70 중량부 이하, 60 중량부 이하, 50 중량부 이하, 또는 40 중량부 이하일 수 있다. 또한, 상기 제2 투명 매트릭스 수지의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 10 중량부 이상, 20 중량부 이상, 25 중량부 이상, 또는 30 중량부 이상일 수 있고, 또한, 80 중량부 이하, 75 중량부 이하, 70 중량부 이하, 60 중량부 이하, 50 중량부 이하, 또는 40 중량부 이하일 수 있다. 이 경우, 버진 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 제1 매트릭스 수지로부터 투명 수지 조성물의 투명성 및 기계적 물성은 더욱 향상시키면서도, 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 제2 매트릭스 수지로부터 친환경적 장점을 동시에 확보할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위를 형성하는 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체는 폐인조 대리석으로부터 화학적 재활용된 것일 수 있다. 구체적인 예로, 상기 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체는 폐인조 대리석을 파쇄하고, 파쇄된 폐인조 대리석 분말 또는 과립의 열분해를 통해 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체인 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트 화합물과 수산화 알루미늄을 분리함으로써 수득될 수 있다. 더욱 구체적인 예로, 상기 폐인조 대리석에 대해 열분해를 실시한 열분해물에서 고온으로 수산화 알루미늄, 물 및 기타 불순물을 제거하여 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트 화합물을 수득할 수 있다. 상기 수득된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트 화합물은 순도를 향상시키기 위해 증류탑을 통한 증류 과정을 거칠 수 있다. 이와 같이, 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체의 순도는 95 % 이상일 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체는 순도를 향상시키더라도, 버진 단량체 대비 일부 불순물을 포함할 수 밖에 없고, 이러한 불순물은 투명 수지 조성물의 내후성을 저하시키는 원인이 된다. 따라서, 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 투명 매트릭스 수지를 포함하는 투명 수지 조성물은 버진 단량체만을 이용하여 제조된 투명 수지 조성물 대비 내후성이 저하될 수 밖에 없으므로, 이를 개선하기 위해서는 본 발명과 같이 자외선 흡수제를 포함할 필요가 있다. 그러나, 본 발명에 따른 투명 매트릭스 수지를 포함하는 투명 수지 조성물에 대해, 모든 자외선 흡수제가 동일한 수준의 내후성 개선을 나타내는 것은 아니기 때문에, 본 발명에 따른 투명 매트릭스 수지에 특히 적합한 자외선 흡수제를 포함하는 것이 중요하다. 통상적으로 수지에 적용하기 위한 자외선 흡수제는 벤조페논계 자외선 흡수제, 벤조트리아졸계 자외선 흡수제, 시아노아크릴레이트계 자외선 흡수제, 포름아미진계 자외선 흡수제, 트리아진계 자외선 흡수제, 살리실산에스테르계 자외선 흡수제, 힌더드 아민계 자외선 흡수제(HALS) 등과 같은 유기계 자외선 흡수제와, 니켈계, 세륨계 등 무기계 자외선 흡수제가 있으나, 무기계 자외선 흡수제의 경우, 투명 수지 조성물의 투명성을 저하시키는 원인이 되므로, 투명 수지 조성물에 적용하기에는 적합하지 않다. 따라서, 무기계 자외선 흡수제를 배제하고, 유기계 자외선 흡수제만을 고려하여 보았을 때, 극성이 낮은 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 투명 매트릭스 수지와의 상용성, 착색성 및 투명성을 고려하였을 때, 벤조페논계 자외선 흡수제, 벤조트리아졸계 자외선 흡수제 및 힌더드 아민계 자외선 흡수제가 바람직하나, 힌더드 아민계 자외선 흡수제(HALS)의 경우 자외선을 스크린 효과로 차단하는 기능이 없기 때문에, 투명 수지 조성물에서는 내후성 개선이 충분하지 못하다. 이에 따라, 본 발명의 투명 수지 조성물은 자외선 흡수제로 벤조페논계 자외선 흡수제 및 벤조트리아졸계 자외선 흡수제로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상의 자외선 흡수제를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 벤조페논계 자외선 흡수제는 상업적으로 입수 가능한 벤조페논계 자외선 흡수제라면 제한 없이 사용 가능하나, 본 발명에 따른 투명 매트릭스 수지와의 상용성을 고려할 때, 구체적인 예로, 2-히드록시-4-(옥틸옥시)벤조페논 및 2,2'-디히드록시-4-메톡시벤조페논으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상인 것일 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 벤조트리아졸계 자외선 흡수제는 상업적으로 입수 가능한 벤조페논계 자외선 흡수제라면 제한 없이 사용 가능하나, 본 발명에 따른 투명 매트릭스 수지와의 상용성을 고려할 때, 구체적인 예로, 2-(2-히드록시-5-tert-옥틸페닐)벤조트리아졸인 것일 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 투명 수지 조성물에 있어서, 상기 자외선 흡수제의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 0.01 중량부 이상 1.00 중량부 이하인 것일 수 있다. 구체적인 예로, 상기 자외선 흡수제의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 0.01 중량부 이상, 0.05 중량부 이상, 0.10 중량부 이상, 0.20 중량부 이상, 0.30 중량부 이상, 0.40 중량부 이상, 또는 0.50 중량부 이상일 수 있고, 또한, 1.00 중량부 이하, 0.90 중량부 이하, 0.80 중량부 이하, 0.70 중량부 이하, 0.60 중량부 이하, 또는 0.50 중량부 이하일 수 있으며, 이 범위 내에서 투명 수지 조성물의 투명성 및 기계적 물성의 저하를 방지하면서도, 내후성을 더욱 향상시킬 수 있다.
본 발명은 상기 투명 수지 조성물로부터 성형된 성형품을 제공한다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 상기 성형품은 상기 투명 수지 조성물을 이용하여 압출 및/또는 사출된 성형품일 수 있으며, 외부 광선에 노출될 가능성이 있음에도, 투명성이 요구되는 제품에 적합할 수 있다.
이하, 본 발명이 속하는 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자가 용이하게 실시할 수 있도록 본 발명의 실시예에 대하여 상세히 설명한다. 그러나 본 발명은 여러 가지 상이한 형태로 구현될 수 있으며 여기에서 설명하는 실시예에 한정되지 않는다.
제조예
제조예 1: 그라프트 공중합체 제조
이온교환수 100 중량부, 메틸 메타크릴레이트 32 중량부, 스티렌 11 중량부, 아크릴로니트릴 7 중량부, 큐멘하이드로퍼옥사이드 0.04 중량부, 소듐 도데실벤젠설포네이트 1 중량부, t-도데실 머캅탄 0.3 중량부, 소듐 포름알데히드 설폭실레이트 0.048 중량부, 에틸렌디아민테트라아세트산 0.012 중량부 및 황산제1철 0.001 중량부를 포함하는 혼합 용액을 제조하였다.
질소 치환된 반응기에 부타디엔 고무 라텍스(평균입경: 300 nm, 굴절률: 1.516, 겔 함량: 70 중량%) 50 중량부(고형분 기준)를 투입한 후, 상기 혼합 용액을 75 ℃에서 일정한 속도로 5 시간 동안 연속 투입하면서 중합을 실시하였다. 연속 투입이 종료된 후, 상기 반응기 내부 온도를 80 ℃로 승온한 후, 1 시간 동안 숙성시키고 중합을 종료하여 그라프트 공중합체를 포함하는 그라프트 공중합체 라텍스를 수득하였다. 이 때, 최종 중합전환율은 99 %이었다.
상기 제조된 그라프트 공중합체 라텍스를 염화칼슘 수용액을 응집시키고, 숙성, 세척, 탈수 및 건조하여 그라프트 공중합체 분체를 수득하였다. 이 때, 제조된 그라프트 공중합체 분체의 굴절률은 1.516이었다.
제조예 2: 제1 매트릭스 수지 제조
메틸 메타크릴레이트 69 중량부, 스티렌 24 중량부, 아크릴로니트릴 7 중량부, 톨루엔 30 중량부, t-도데실 머캅탄 0.15 중량부를 포함하는 혼합 용액을 제조하였다.
질소 치환된 반응기에 혼합 용액을 체류 시간이 3 시간이 되도록 일정한 속도로 연속 투입하고, 반응기의 온도를 148 ℃로 유지하였다. 반응기에서 배출된 중합 용액은 예비 가열조에서 가열하고, 휘발조에서 미반응 단량체를 휘발시켰다. 이어서, 중합체 이송 펌프 압출기를 이용하여 210 ℃에서 압출하여 제1 매트릭스 수지를 펠렛의 형태로 수득하였다. 이 때, 제조된 제1 매트릭스 수지 펠렛의 굴절률은 1.516이었다.
제조예 3: 제2 매트릭스 수지 제조
상기 제조예 2에서, 메틸 메타크릴레이트로 폐인조 대리석으로부터 화학적 재활용을 통해 수득된 메틸 메타크릴레이트를 동량으로 대체하여 사용한 것을 제외하고는 상기 제조예 2와 동일한 방법으로 실시하여 제2 매트릭스 수지를 펠렛의 형태로 수득하였다. 이 때, 제조된 제2 매트릭스 수지 펠렛의 굴절률은 1.516이었다.
실시예 및 비교예
하기 각 성분을 표 1 내지 3에 기재한 함량으로, 활제 0.5 중량부 및 산화방지제 0.25 중량부와 함께 배합하고, 210 ℃의 실린더 온도에서 2축 압출 혼련기로 압출하여 펠렛 형태의 투명 수지 조성물을 제조하였다.
이 때, 각 성분의 함량은 그라프트 공중합체 및 매트릭스 수지의 총합 100 중량부를 기준으로 한 함량이다.

실험예
실험예 1
상기 실시예 1 내지 13 및 비교예 1 내지 4에서 제조된 펠렛과, 이를 사출기를 이용하여 사출온도 210 ℃에서 사출하여 제조한 시편을 이용하여, 아래와 같은 방법으로 투명성, 용융지수, 충격강도, 인장특성, 굴곡특성 및 내후성을 측정하여 하기 표 4 내지 6에 나타내었다.
* 투명성: 상기 제조된 시편을 25 ℃ 및 상대습도 50±5 %의 조건에서 12 시간 동안 보관한 후, ASTM D1003에 의거하여, SUGA社의 HZ-V3를 이용하여, 면적 80 mm X 40 mm, 두께 3.0 mm의 시편에 대한 전광선 투과율(Tt, %) 및 헤이즈(Haze, %)를 측정하였다.
* 색좌표: 상기 제조된 시편을 25 ℃ 및 상대습도 50±5 %의 조건에서 12 시간 동안 보관한 후, Hunter lab社의 Ultrascan PRO를 이용하여, 면적 40 mm X 80 mm, 두께 3.0 mm의 시편에 대한 CIE LAB 색공간의 색좌표(L, a 및 b)를 측정하였다.
* 충격강도(J/m): 상기 제조된 시편을 25 ℃ 및 상대습도 50±5 %의 조건에서 12 시간 동안 보관한 후, ASTM D256에 의거하여, TINIUS-OLSEN社의 IT504/104를 이용하여, 1/4" 및 1/8" 두께의 노치가 형성된 시편에 대한 상온(25 ℃)에서의 노치드 아이조드 충격강도를 측정하였다.
* 용융지수(g/10 min): 상기 실시예 1 내지 13 및 비교예 1 내지 4에서 제조된 펠렛을 이용하여, ASTM D1238에 의거하여, 220 ℃의 온도에서 10 kg의 하중에서의 용융지수를 측정하였다.
* 인장특성: 상기 제조된 시편을 25 ℃ 및 상대습도 50±5 %의 조건에서 12 시간 동안 보관한 후, ASTM D638에 의거하여, Zwick/roell社의 만능재료시험기를 이용하여, 크로스헤드 속도 50 mm/min으로 면적 13 mm X 115 mm, 두께 3 mm의 시편에 대한 인장강도(MPa) 및 신율(%)을 측정하였다.
* 굴곡특성: 상기 제조된 시편을 25 ℃ 및 상대습도 50±5 %의 조건에서 12 시간 동안 보관한 후, ASTM D790에 의거하여, Zwich/roell社의 만능재료시험기를 이용하여, 면적 25 mm X 80 mm, 두께 3.2 mm의 시편에 대한 굴곡강도(MPa) 및 굴곡모듈러스(MPa)를 측정하였다.
* 내후성(△E): 상기 제조된 시편을 25 ℃ 및 상대습도 50±5 %의 조건에서 12 시간 동안 보관한 후, AMETEK社의 UV-A를 이용하여, 광량 0.77 W/m2의 자외선에 150 시간 동안 노출하여, 면적 40 mm X 80 mm, 두께 3.2 mm의 시편에 대한 내후성을 측정하였다. 이 때, 내후성은 하기 수학식 1에 따라 계산하였다.

상기 표 4 내지 6에 나타낸 바와 같이, 실시예 1 내지 7에서 제조된 투명 수지 조성물은 화학적 재활용된 단량체를 포함하는 제2 매트릭스 수지를 포함하였음에도 불구하고, 버진 단량체만을 이용하여 제조되고, 자외선 흡수제를 포함하지 않은 비교예 1의 투명 수지 조성물 대비 동등 수준의 투명성 및 가공성을 나타내면서도, 기계적 물성은 물론 내후성도 우수한 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
특히, 자외선 흡수제로서 벤조페논계 자외선 흡수제를 포함하여 제조된 실시예 1 내지 5 및 7의 투명 수지 조성물은 자외선 흡수제로서 벤조트리아졸계 자외선 흡수제를 포함하여 제조된 실시예 6의 투명 수지 조성물과 비교할 때, 투명성이 더욱 우수한 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
또한, 실시예 7의 투명 수지 조성물은 매트릭스 수지로서 버진 단량체만을 이용하여 제조된 제1 매트릭스 수지를 포함하지 않고, 화학적 재활용된 단량체를 포함하는 제2 매트릭스 수지만을 포함하였음에도, 제1 매트릭스 수지를 포함하고, 벤조페논계 자외선 흡수제를 동일한 함량으로 포함한 실시예 2의 투명 수지 조성물과 비교할 때, 동등 수준의 투명성, 가공성, 기계적 물성 및 내후성을 나타내는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
또한, 실시예 2 대비 투명 수지 조성물 내 그라프트 공중합체의 함량을 달리한 실시예 8 내지 13로부터, 그라프트 공중합체 포함된 고무질 중합체의 함량에 따라, b값, 가공성 및 기계적 물성이 변화하는 것을 확인할 수 있으나, 그라프트 공중합체에 포함된 고무질 중합체의 함량에 따른 것일 뿐, 화학적 재활용된 단량체를 포함하는 제2 매트릭스 수지에 따른 투명성과, 벤조페논계 자외선 흡수제에 따른 내후성 개선 효과는 동등 수준으로 유지되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
반면, 비교예 1의 투명 수지 조성물에 대하여, 벤조페논계 자외선 흡수제를 더 포함한 비교예 2의 투명 수지 조성물은 벤조페논계 자외선 흡수제를 포함하여 내후성은 다소 개선되었으나, 실시예 1 내지 13의 투명 수지 조성물 만큼 내후성을 충분히 개선시키지는 못하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
또한, 실시예 1 내지 6과 같이 화학적 재활용된 단량체를 포함하는 제2 매트릭스 수지를 동일한 함량으로 포함하되, 자외선 흡수제를 포함하지 않은 비교예 3의 투명 수지 조성물은 비교예 1의 투명 수지 조성물 대비 내후성이 현저히 저하되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
또한, 실시예 1 내지 6과 같이 화학적 재활용된 단량체를 포함하는 제2 매트릭스 수지를 포함하고, 자외선 흡수제로 HALS(hindered amine light stabilizer)계 자외선 흡수제를 포함한 비교예 4의 투명 수지 조성물은 비교예 3의 투명 수지 조성물 대비 내후성은 다소 개선되었으나, 비교예 1의 투명 수지 조성물에 대비해서는 여전히 내후성이 저하되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
이러한 결과는 화학적 재활용된 단량체를 포함하는 제2 매트릭스 수지를 포함하는 투명 수지 조성물이 비교예 3의 투명 수지 조성물과 같이 자외선 흡수제를 포함하지 않는 경우, 내후성이 급격히 저하되고, 이를 해결하기 위해 자외선 흡수제를 포함하더라도, 본 발명과는 달리 적합한 자외선 흡수제를 포함하지 않는다면 내후성을 충분히 개선할 수 없는 것을 보여준다.
한편, 상기 실험과는 별개로, 실시예 1 내지 6에 따라 투명 수지 조성물을 제조할 때 유래되는 온실 기체인 이산화탄소 발생량(단위: kgCO2/kg)으로부터 탄소 발자국(carbon footprint)을 계산하여 본 결과, 비교예 1에 따라 투명 수지 조성물을 제조할 때 유래되는 이산화탄소 발생량(단위: kgCO2/kg) 대비 최소 7 중량% 이상으로 이산화탄소 발생량이 저감된 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
이와 같은 결과로부터, 본 발명에 따른 투명 수지 조성물은 화학적 재활용된 단량체 단위를 포함하는 매트릭스 수지를 포함하여 탄소 발생 저감 효과를 통해 친환경적이면서도, 기계적 물성 및 내후성이 우수한 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
Claims (13)
- 고무질 중합체를 포함하는 투명 그라프트 공중합체; 투명 매트릭스 수지; 및 자외선 흡수제를 포함하고,상기 투명 매트릭스 수지는 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위를 포함하고,상기 자외선 흡수제는 벤조페논계 자외선 흡수제 및 벤조트리아졸계 자외선 흡수제로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상을 포함하는 것인 투명 수지 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체는, 공액디엔계 고무질 중합체, 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위, 방향족 비닐계 단량체 단위 및 비닐시안계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 것인 투명 수지 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 5 중량부 이상 60 중량부 이하인 투명 수지 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 투명 매트릭스 수지의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 40 중량부 이상 95 중량부 이하인 투명 수지 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 투명 매트릭스 수지는 제1 투명 매트릭스 수지; 및 제2 투명 매트릭스 수지를 포함하고,상기 제2 투명 매트릭스 수지는 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 것인 투명 수지 조성물.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 제1 투명 매트릭스 수지는 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위, 방향족 비닐계 단량체 단위 및 비닐시안계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 것인 투명 수지 조성물.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 제2 투명 매트릭스 수지는 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위, 방향족 비닐계 단량체 단위 및 비닐시안계 단량체 단위를 포함하는 것인 투명 수지 조성물.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 제1 투명 매트릭스 수지의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 10 중량부 이상 70 중량부 이하이고,상기 제2 투명 매트릭스 수지의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 10 중량부 이상 80 중량부 이하인 투명 수지 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체 단위를 형성하는 화학적 재활용된 알킬 (메트)아크릴레이트계 단량체는 폐인조 대리석으로부터 화학적 재활용된 것인 투명 수지 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 벤조페논계 자외선 흡수제는 2-히드록시-4-(옥틸옥시)벤조페논 및 2,2'-디히드록시-4-메톡시벤조페논으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상인 것인 투명 수지 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 벤조트리아졸계 자외선 흡수제는 2-(2-히드록시-5-tert-옥틸페닐)벤조트리아졸인 것인 투명 수지 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 자외선 흡수제의 함량은 상기 투명 그라프트 공중합체 및 상기 투명 매트릭스 수지 함량의 총합 100 중량부에 대하여, 0.01 중량부 이상 1.00 중량부 이하인 투명 수지 조성물.
- 제1항 내지 제12항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 투명 수지 조성물로 성형된 성형품.
