Definitions
- the present invention relates to an acid gas separation device, an air purifier, an air conditioner, and an acid gas concentrator.
- Carbon dioxide is known as an acid gas and is not only a widely present substance on the earth that occupies about 0.04% of the atmosphere, but is also widely used in industry. Examples of the method of using carbon dioxide include carbonated drinks, bathing agents, effervescent gases such as fire extinguishing agents, dry ice used for cooling, and air for emergency replenishment of bicycle tires. In addition, carbon dioxide can also be used as an extraction solvent for extracting caffeine and the like by putting it in a supercritical state. Carbon dioxide is also used in carbon dioxide lasers used in lasers used for processing in the industrial field, medical laser scalpels, and the like. Further, as the refrigerant of the compressor, carbon dioxide may be used instead of the fluorocarbon-based refrigerant.
- carbon dioxide is also used in the agricultural field for forcible cultivation of strawberries and carbon dioxide fertilization for accelerating the growth of plants such as aquatic plants in ornamental aquariums.
- carbon dioxide is also used for CA (Controlled Atmosphere) storage of fresh agricultural products.
- carbon dioxide is used in various fields, and therefore, a method for obtaining carbon dioxide by separating carbon dioxide from a gas containing carbon dioxide such as air is required.
- Carbon dioxide is also said to be a causative agent of global warming. For this reason as well, it is required to separate carbon dioxide from a gas containing carbon dioxide and utilize carbon dioxide.
- Patent Document 1 describes a carbon dioxide adsorbent composed of a composition in which 2 to 80 equivalent% of sodium ions of a sodium-containing aluminosilicate are ion-exchanged with barium ions.
- Patent Document 2 sandwiches an acid gas adsorption / desorption layer containing an acid gas adsorption / desorption layer containing a compound capable of adsorbing and desorbing an acid gas by oxidation and reduction, and a substrate, and the acid gas adsorption / desorption layer. Described are acid gas adsorption / desorption devices with a pair of electrodes.
- Patent Document 3 includes an electrolyte layer, a pair of electrodes provided on the electrolyte layer with the electrolyte layer interposed therebetween, and a voltage application unit for applying a voltage between the pair of electrodes.
- Each is an electrode capable of permeating a gas, and a carbon dioxide separator containing an electrolytic solution in which the electrolyte layer can dissolve carbon dioxide and a redox compound having an N-oxyradical group in the molecule is described.
- Patent Document 1 it is disclosed that it is possible to provide an adsorbent having a high selection ratio of carbon dioxide and a large absorption capacity even under a condition with a large amount of water. Further, it is disclosed that this adsorbent can be suitably used for separating and concentrating carbon dioxide by the PSA method.
- Patent Document 2 it is disclosed that acid gas can be separated and desorbed in a solid state. Specifically, in the apparatus described in Patent Document 2, first, a voltage is applied between the electrodes to adsorb the acid gas to the acid gas adsorption / desorption layer. After that, the voltage applied between the electrodes is reversed so that the current flowing through the acid gas adsorption / desorption layer arranged between the electrodes is in the opposite direction to that at the time of adsorption, and the acid gas is adsorbed from the acid gas adsorption / desorption layer. To be detached.
- Patent Document 3 carbon dioxide can be separated from a gas containing carbon dioxide simply by applying a voltage between the pair of electrodes without inverting the voltage applied between the electrodes. It is disclosed that carbon dioxide can be easily separated. From this, if the apparatus described in Patent Document 3 is used, it is not necessary to invert the voltage applied between the electrodes, so that carbon dioxide can be continuously separated from the gas containing carbon dioxide. In addition, carbon dioxide can be easily separated from a gas containing carbon dioxide with a small device.
- the acid gas such as carbon dioxide can be separated more efficiently from the gas containing the acid gas, and at the same time, the acid gas such as carbon dioxide can be separated for a long period of time. It is required to be able to repeatedly separate an acid gas from a gas containing the above.
- the present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and provides an acid gas separation device capable of easily separating an acid gas from a gas containing an acid gas and repeating this separation for a long period of time.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide an air purifier, an air conditioner, and an acid gas concentrator equipped with the acid gas separation device.

- FIG. 2 is a schematic view showing the configuration of an air purifier provided with an acid gas separation device according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 3 is a schematic view showing the configuration of an air conditioner including the acid gas separation device according to the embodiment of the present invention.
- the acid gas separation device 10 includes an electrolyte layer 13, a pair of electrodes 11 and 12 provided with the electrolyte layer 13 interposed therebetween, and a pair of electrodes 11 and 12.
- a voltage application unit 14 for applying a voltage is provided between the two.
- the pair of electrodes 11 and 12 are electrodes that can permeate gas, respectively.
- the electrolyte layer 13 is selected from the group consisting of a high molecular weight redox compound having a radicalization rate of 90% or more, a high molecular weight redox compound having a quinone group in the molecule, and a high molecular weight redox compound having an imino group in the molecule.
- FIG. 1 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing the configuration of the acid gas separation device 10 according to the embodiment of the present invention.
- non-volatile means that the substance does not evaporate under normal temperature and pressure, or does not evaporate immediately. Specifically, even if the substance is left at normal temperature and pressure for 24 hours, the mass of the substance is increased. It means to hold 99% by mass or more. That is, the non-volatile electrolytic solution means an electrolytic solution that does not evaporate or evaporates immediately under normal temperature and pressure, and specifically, the mass of the substance even if it is left at normal temperature and pressure for 24 hours. Means an electrolytic solution or the like that retains 99% by mass or more.
- the acid gas separation device 10 may be applied by the voltage application unit 14 so as to increase the potential of either of the electrodes 11 and 12, and in either case, the acid gas separation device 10 may be applied so as to increase the potential. Acid gas can be separated.
- the voltage application unit 14 applies the voltage between the electrodes 11 and 12 so that the potential of one electrode 11 is lower than the potential of the other electrode 12.
- one electrode 11 is an electrode (first electrode: cathode electrode) 11 on the side that takes in acid gas from a gas containing acid gas
- the other electrode 12 is on the side that discharges acid gas from the electrolyte layer 13. It becomes an electrode (second electrode: anode electrode) 12.
- the acid gas separation device 10 includes a first flow path 15 in which a gas flows while contacting the first electrode 11, and a second flow path 16 in which a gas flows while contacting the second electrode 12. May be good.
- the acid gas separation device 10 can easily separate the acid gas from the gas containing the acid gas. Specifically, when the acid gas separation device 10 is applied between the electrodes 11 and 12 so that the potential of the first electrode 11 is lower than the potential of the second electrode 12 by the voltage application unit 14, the following The acid gas is separated from the gas containing the acid gas. In the acid gas separation device 10, when a gas containing an acid gas, for example, air or the like is circulated in the first flow path 15 and the acid gas is brought into contact with the first electrode 11, the acid gas gives priority to the electrolyte layer 13. And is emitted from the second electrode 12 side.
- a gas containing an acid gas for example, air or the like
- the acid gas separation device 10 can preferentially permeate the acid gas only by applying a voltage between the first electrode 11 and the second electrode 12. Therefore, when the acid gas separation device 10 is used, the acid gas is separated from the gas containing the acid gas.
- the acid gas separation device 10 when a gas containing acid gas, nitrogen, and oxygen, for example, air is supplied from the supply port 15a of the first flow path 15, the acid gas (in the case of air) is supplied from the second flow path 16.
- Mainly carbon dioxide is discharged, and a gas having an acid gas concentration (for example, carbon dioxide concentration) lower than that of the supplied gas is discharged from the discharge port 15b of the first flow path 15.
- the acid gas concentration for example, carbon dioxide concentration
- the acid gas concentration has decreased from the discharge port 15b of the first flow path 15, so that a gas having a relatively high concentration of nitrogen and oxygen is discharged. ..
- the acid gas that comes into contact with the first electrode 11 and has passed through the first electrode 11 also comes into contact with the electrolyte layer 13. Specifically, the acid gas contained in the gas existing around the first electrode 11 passes through the first electrode 11 and comes into contact with the surface of the electrolyte layer 13 (the surface on the first electrode 11 side). At this time, due to the voltage applied by the voltage applying unit 14, the redox compound (high molecular weight redox compound) contained in the electrolyte layer 13 is electrolytically reduced to become a reduced body on the side close to the first electrode 11. The acid gas in contact with the surface of the electrolyte layer 13 (the surface on the side of the first electrode 11) is combined with this reducing body and taken into the electrolyte layer 13.
- the uptake of acid gas into the first electrode 11 side is promoted.
- the high molecular weight redox compound and the reduced product of the high molecular weight redox compound contained in the electrolyte layer 13 are electrolytically oxidized and subjected to electrolytic oxidation and oxidation. Become a body. Therefore, when the high molecular weight redox compound to which the acidic gas is bound flows from the side close to the first electrode 11 to the side close to the second electrode 12 in the electrolyte layer 13, it is bound to the high molecular weight redox compound. The acidic gas is desorbed from the high molecular weight redox compound.
- the high molecular weight redox is electrolytically oxidized when the high molecular weight redox compound to which the acidic gas is bound is electrolytically oxidized on the side close to the second electrode 12.
- Acid gas is desorbed from the compound. Therefore, the acidic gas is bound to the high molecular weight redox compound on the side close to the first electrode 11, and then the high molecular weight redox compound to which the acidic gas is bound goes into the electrolyte layer 13 to the side close to the second electrode 12. When flowed, the acidic gas is desorbed from the high molecular weight redox compound on the side close to the second electrode 12.
- the acid gas desorbed from the high molecular weight redox compound is released from the surface of the electrolyte layer 13 (the surface on the side of the second electrode 12) and permeates through the second electrode 12.
- the acid gas separation device 10 takes in the acid gas on the first electrode 11 side and releases the acid gas on the second electrode side. It is thought that it can be done.
- one electrode 11 discharges an acidic gas from the electrolyte layer 13 (second electrode).
- the other electrode 12 is the electrode (first electrode) 11 on the side that takes in the acidic gas from the gas containing the acidic gas. Therefore, the acid gas can be taken in on the other electrode 12 side and the acid gas can be discharged on the one electrode 11 side.
- the acid gas separation device 10 simply applies a voltage between the pair of electrodes 11 and 12 without inverting the voltage applied between the electrodes (without switching the potential of each electrode). ), Acid gas can be continuously separated. That is, in the acid gas separation device 10, when a voltage is continuously applied between the pair of electrodes 11 and 12 by the voltage application unit 14, the acid gas is continuously supplied to the first electrode 11 side from the gas containing the acid gas. Can be continuously separated. Therefore, the acid gas separation device 10 can easily separate the acid gas from the gas containing the acid gas.
- the acidic gas separation device 10 when the acidic gas is continuously separated from the gas containing the acidic gas (continuous operation), the redox compound self on the surface or inside, which occurs through diffusion or migration of the redox compound constituting the electrolyte layer. Segregation due to agglomeration may hinder the separation of acid gas.
- the acidic gas separation device 10 by using the redox compound contained in the electrolyte layer 13 as the high molecular weight redox compound, the entanglement of the molecular chains is promoted and the molecular mobility of the redox compound is suppressed. Therefore, it becomes difficult to form an aggregated structure, and as a result, segregation of the redox compound in the electrolyte layer can be suppressed. Therefore, the acid gas separation device 10 can repeatedly perform acid gas separation over a longer period of time.
- the electrolyte layer 13 is at least one selected from the group consisting of a high molecular weight redox compound having a radicalization rate of 90% or more, a high molecular weight redox compound having a quinone group in the molecule, and a high molecular weight redox compound having an imino group in the molecule. It is not particularly limited as long as it contains a seed and a non-volatile electrolytic solution. Further, the electrolyte layer 13 is an acid gas separator that contributes to the separation of the acid gas.

- the high molecular weight redox compound adsorbs and desorbs acid gas by electrolytic reduction and electrolytic oxidation.
