Abstract

居室内から半屋外空間へとつながる連続性が、多方向に向けて変化に富むかたちで創出され、居室内の広い範囲で、ゆったりとした心地よさや開放感を得ることのできる住宅の空間構成を提供する。居室Ｒの相対する二つの壁面、またはＬ字形に連続して出隅を形成する二つの壁面に、採光・通風可能な窓（Ｗ１、Ｗ２）が、各壁面の壁長の１／２以上にわたる開口幅をもって配置される。一方の窓（Ｗ１）は、居室（Ｒ）の天井高（ｃｈ）一杯にわたって開口し、その開口面には出入口が設けられ、その窓（Ｗ１）の屋外側に、外部床（Ｔ）と軒天井（Ｅ）とを備えて大きく張り出す半屋外空間（Ｓ）が設けられる。他方の窓（Ｗ２）は、その下縁が居室の床面（Ｆ）と揃う地窓か、その上縁が居室の天井面（Ｃ）と揃う高窓か、または居室の天井高（ｃｈ）一杯にわたって開口する窓か、あるいはそれらの複合形態のいずれかとなされる。

Description

住宅
　本発明は、居室の外側に、外部床と軒天井とを備える半屋外空間が設けられた住宅に関する。
　リビングルーム、客間、和室といった、くつろぎ感を重視する居室では、その屋外側にテラスやロジア等の半屋外空間を設け、該居室内空間と半屋外空間との間に出入り可能な窓を設けて両空間を連続させることにより、明るく開放的で自然の変化を体感し易い雰囲気を創出することがよく行われる。そのような居室では、屋内外の空間の連続性を高めるため、床面に段差を生じさせない大開口の連窓サッシが設置されることも多い。
　本出願人は、その種の居室において、窓付近と、窓から離れた居室の奥側とでは、半屋外空間に連続することで居住者が感じる心地よさの程度に差があることに着目し、居住者が心地よさを感じる領域を窓から離れた居室の奥側まで効果的に拡張することのできる空間構成を、特許文献１、２等において提案している。

　しかしながら、前記従来の空間構成は、基本的に、居室内空間と半屋外空間とを連続させる窓開口が、居室の一つの壁面にのみ設けられるものとして構成されている。この場合、居室内にいる居住者にとって、半屋外空間への連続性を感じることができるのは、窓開口のある単一方向に限定されてしまう。
　近年、特に、敷地面積に比較的余裕がある高級グレードの戸建て住宅等においては、より開放的で、自然の中にいるような安らぎを感じることができ、その雰囲気の中でゆったりと流れる時間を優雅に過ごせるような空間が求められる傾向にある。そこで、本発明は、居室内空間から半屋外空間へとつながる連続性が、単一方向ではなく多方向に向けて、より変化に富むかたちで創出され、居室内の広い範囲で、ゆったりとした心地よさや開放感を得ることのできる住宅の空間構成を提案するものである。
　前述の目的を達成するために、本発明の住宅が採用した第１の構成は、少なくとも一の居室の屋外側に、外部床と軒天井とを備えた半屋外空間が設けられ、前記居室内空間と前記半屋外空間とが窓を介して連通される住宅において、前記居室の互いに相対する二つの壁面に、採光および通風を可能とする窓が、各壁面の壁長の１／２以上にわたる開口幅をもって互いに正対するように配置され、前記二つの壁面のうち一方の壁面に設けられた第１の窓は、該居室の天井高一杯にわたって開口し、その開口面には少なくとも１か所の開閉可能な出入口が設けられるとともに、他方の壁面に設けられた第２の窓は、少なくともその下縁が該居室の床面と揃う地窓か、またはその上縁が該居室の天井面と揃う高窓か、または該居室の天井高一杯にわたって開口する窓か、あるいはそれらを組み合わせた形態の窓のいずれかとなされ、前記一方の壁面に設けられた第１の窓の屋外側には、該居室の床面と同じ高さで連続する外部床と、該居室の天井面と同じ高さで連続する軒天井とが、少なくとも該窓の開口幅全体にわたって延設され、前記外部床の、前記開口面に直交する方向の張出寸法が、該居室の天井高の０．８倍以上であり、前記軒天井の、前記開口面に直交する方向の張出寸法が、該居室の天井高の０．６倍以上であることを特徴とする。
　この構成においては、前記一方の壁面が、該居室における最も壁長の大きい壁面であり、該一方の壁面に設けられた窓が、該一方の壁面と他方の壁面との対向間隔以上の開口幅を有するものであると、より好ましい。
　また、前述の目的を達成するために、本発明の住宅が採用した第２の構成は、少なくとも一の居室の屋外側に、外部床と軒天井とを備えた半屋外空間が設けられ、前記居室内空間と前記半屋外空間とが窓を介して連通される住宅において、前記居室の出隅を形成する二つの壁面に、採光および通風を可能とする窓が、各壁面の壁長の１／２以上にわたる開口幅をもって平面視Ｌ字形に連続するように配置され、前記二つの壁面のうち一方の壁面に設けられた第１の窓は、該居室の天井高一杯にわたって開口し、その開口面には少なくとも１か所の開閉可能な出入口が設けられるとともに、他方の壁面に設けられた第２の窓は、少なくともその下縁が該居室の床面と揃う地窓か、またはその上縁が該居室の天井面と揃う高窓か、または該居室の天井高一杯にわたって開口する窓か、あるいはそれらを組み合わせた形態の窓のいずれかとなされ、前記一方の壁面に設けられた第１の窓の屋外側には、該居室の床と同じ高さで連続する外部床と、該居室の天井と同じ高さで連続する軒天井とが、少なくとも該窓の開口幅全体にわたって延設され、前記外部床の、前記開口面に直交する方向の張出寸法が、該居室の天井高の０．８倍以上であり、前記軒天井の、前記開口面に直交する方向の張出寸法が、該居室の天井高の０．６倍以上であることを特徴とする。
　この構成においては、前記一方の壁面が、該居室における最も壁長の大きい壁面であり、該一方の壁面に設けられた窓は、該一方の壁面に直交する他方の壁面の壁長以上の開口幅を有するものであると、より好ましい。
　前記第１または第２の構成を有する住宅においては、前記外部床が２階部分に設けられ、該２階部分に設けられた外部床の外周縁近傍に、横方向に延びる目隠しルーバーを用いた通風性を有する腰壁が立設されたものとしてもよい。
　また、前記第１または第２の構成を有する住宅においては、前記居室が、上下２階層に重なるように設けられるとともに、前記上下それぞれの居室の、天井高一杯にわたって開口する第１の窓の開口面が、同じ向きに配置されたものとしてもよい。
　さらに、前記居室が上下２階層に重なるように設けられた場合には、前記上下に重なる居室の、第１の窓および第２の窓が設けられていない壁面の中間部分に、平面視略矩形をなす箱状構造体が、前記上下に重なる居室の室内外にまたがって、両居室を上下方向に貫通するように設置されたものとしてもよい。
　さらに、前記箱状構造体は、その外周面に、互いに直交する二方向（天井高一杯にわたって開口する窓と平行および直交する方向）の耐力壁が配置されたものとすると、より好ましい。
　前述のように構成される本発明の住宅は、互いに反対向きまたは直交する二方向に屋内外の連続性を感じることのできる居室を具備する。その居室内空間には、二つの窓から変化に富む外光が採り込まれ、窓の一部を開放すれば心地よい風が室内を横断的に通り抜ける。室内の床面および天井面と高さを揃え、室内の天井高に応じた十分な張出寸法をもって屋外側に延設された半屋外空間は、適度なプライバシー性を保ちつつ、その居室に水平方向の空間的な拡がり感を付与する。このような半屋外空間と一体化された居室内空間は、屋内外の境目が曖昧で、水平方向の連続性、透過性、透明感等が強調された開放的な雰囲気を創出する。
　かかる居室が上下２階層に重なるように設けられて、各居室の第１の窓およびその屋外側に延設される半屋外空間が同じ向きに配置された場合には、屋内外の水平方向の連続性や透過性が住宅の上下階で共有され、住宅内に一体的な開放感が醸成されることとなる。

　　（発明の基本概念）
　図１および図２は、本発明の基本的構成を説明するための概念図である。本発明に係る住宅とは、少なくとも一つの居室Ｒが以下の構成を具備するものとして特定される。図１の概念図では、当該構成を具備する居室Ｒが１階および２階に重なって配置されている。
（１）居室Ｒを囲む二つの壁面に、採光および通風を可能とする窓Ｗ１、Ｗ２が設けられる。ここで、「通風を可能とする」とは、少なくとも窓Ｗ１、Ｗ２の一部分が開閉できることを意味する。
（２）二つの窓Ｗ１、Ｗ２は、図２（ａ）のように互いに正対するか、または図２（ｂ）のように出隅にそって平面視Ｌ字形に連続するように配置される。
（３）正対、Ｌ字いずれの配置形態においても、二つの窓Ｗ１、Ｗ２は、それぞれが配置される壁面の壁長の１／２以上にわたる開口幅を有する。正対の場合は、互いに正対する窓Ｗ１、Ｗ２の幅が、各壁面の壁長の１／２以上になることとする。
（４）二つの窓Ｗ１、Ｗ２のうち少なくとも一方の窓（より好ましくは、壁長の大きいほうの壁面に設けられる窓。以下、「第１の窓（Ｗ１）」）は、居室Ｒの床面Ｆから天井面Ｃまでの高さ一杯にわたって開口し、その開口面には少なくとも１か所の開閉可能な出入口Ｄが設けられる。
（５）第１の窓Ｗ１全体の開口幅は、他方の窓（以下、「第２の窓Ｗ２」）と正対する場合は、第２の窓Ｗ２との対向間隔ｌａ以上であり、第２の窓Ｗ２とＬ字形に連続する場合は、第２の窓Ｗ２が配される壁面の壁長ｌｂ以上である。
（６）第１の窓Ｗ１の屋外側には、居室Ｒの床面Ｆと同じ高さで連続する外部床Ｔと、居室Ｒの天井面Ｃと同じ高さで連続する軒天井Ｅと、によって構成される半屋外空間Ｓが、少なくとも第１の窓Ｗ１の開口幅全体にわたって延設される。
（７）外部床Ｔの、第１の窓Ｗ１の開口面に直交する方向の張出寸法ｌＴは、居室Ｒの天井高ｃｈの０．８倍以上であり、軒天井Ｅの同方向の張出寸法ｌＥは、居室Ｒの天井高ｃｈの０．６倍以上である。
（８）第２の窓Ｗ２は、少なくともその下縁が居室Ｒの床面Ｆと揃う地窓か、その上縁が居室Ｒの天井面Ｃと揃う高窓か、あるいは居室Ｒの天井高ｃｈ一杯にわたって開口する窓か、あるいはそれらを複合的に組み合わせた形態の窓のいずれである。
　これらの構成を具備することにより、その居室Ｒは、互いに反対向きまたは直交する二方向に、屋外への連続性を感じることのできる空間となる。居室Ｒ内には、二つの窓Ｗ１、Ｗ２から変化に富む外光が採り込まれ、窓Ｗ１、Ｗ２の一部を開放すれば心地よい風が室内を横断的に通り抜ける。室内の床面Ｆおよび天井面Ｃと高さを揃え、室内の天井高ｃｈに応じた十分な張出寸法をもって第１の窓Ｗ１の屋外側に延設されたテラスやバルコニー等の半屋外空間Ｓは、適度なプライバシー性を保ちつつ、その居室Ｒに空間的な拡がり感を付与する。このような半屋外空間Ｓと一体化された居室Ｒ内の空間は、屋内外の境目が曖昧で、水平方向の透過性や透明感が強調された開放的な雰囲気を創出する。
　さらに、かかる居室Ｒ、Ｒが上下２階層に重なるように設けられて、各居室Ｒ、Ｒの第１の窓Ｗ１、Ｗ１およびその屋外側に延設される半屋外空間Ｓ、Ｓが同じ向きに配置された場合には、屋外への連続性や透過性が住宅の上下階で共有され、住宅内に一体的な開放感が形成されることとなる。
　以下、本発明の実施の形態について図を参照して説明する。
　　（第１実施形態）
　図３～図７は、本発明の第１実施形態に係る住宅を示す。例示の住宅１Ａは、主たる架構が木造軸組構法によって構築される２階建ての木造住宅である。この住宅１Ａは、都市部郊外に位置する敷地面積５００～８００ｍ2 程度の敷地に建てられることを想定して構成されている。図３の配置図兼１階平面図において、敷地の図中下辺が前面道路に接しており、その他の三辺が隣地に接している。以下、説明の便宜上、図３における図中上方を北と定め、住宅１Ａ内の各部の位置関係を東西南北の方角によって示す。
　　（１階）
　１階には、道路側に設けられた玄関から北側に向けて、玄関ホール２１、上部が吹抜けになったギャラリーホール２２および階段２３、短い廊下２４、その廊下２４と一体化された家事コーナー２５、トイレ２６、北向きの窓開口を有するダイニングルーム２７、東向きの窓開口を有するキッチン２８等が配置されている。玄関ホール２１の東側には玄関クローゼット２９が併設され、さらにその東側に、床の間付きの和室３１が配置されている。この和室３１は、玄関ホール２１から叩き風の土間３２を介して連通するとともに、ギャラリーホール２２からも前室３３を介して連通している。和室３１の東面には、大きく開口する窓３４が設けられている。さらに、土間の横の板間には南向きに開口する窓３５が設けられ、床の間の背面にも北向きに開口する窓３６が設けられている。
　玄関ホール２１およびギャラリーホール２２の西側には、本発明の構成を具備するリビングルーム３７が配置されている。このリビングルーム３７は、南北方向よりも東西方向が長い略矩形の平面形状をなしており、ギャラリーホール２２との間を仕切る間仕切り壁の南側および北側に設けられた２か所の出入口を介して玄関ホール２１および廊下に連通している。
　リビングルーム３７の西側には、平面視略矩形をなす箱状構造体３８が、その略半部をリビングルーム３７の西面に食い込ませて、室内外にまたがるように配置されている。この箱状構造体３８は、外周の大部分が非開口の壁面となされ、その一部に東西方向および南北方向の耐力壁（図示せず）が組み込まれて２階の高さまで立ち上げられている。箱状構造体３８の内部空間のうち、東側は１階と２階とを連通する階段室３９になっており、西側は書庫を兼ねた書斎コーナー４１になっている。
　リビングルーム３７の南面および北面には、それらの壁長の略全体にわたって大きく開口する窓４２、４３が設けられている。窓４２、４３は、各面に両隅部を含めて５本ずつ立設された柱によってそれぞれ４か所の開口面に分割されている。それら４か所のうち中間２か所の開口面はガラス嵌め殺し窓となされ、両端２か所の開口面には引違い式の窓サッシが取り付けられて、屋内外の出入りが可能になっている。また、リビングルーム３７の西面に食い込んだ箱状構造体３８の両側部も、床面から天井高一杯まで開口するガラス嵌め殺し窓となっている。これらの窓の枠部材には、床面および天井面にほとんど段差を生じない、いわゆるフルフラットサッシが用いられている。
　それらの窓の屋外側には、半屋外空間としてのテラス４４、４５が設けられている。テラス４４、４５は、リビングルーム３７および箱状構造体３８の外周全体を囲むようにして、リビングルーム３７および箱状構造体３８の南側および北側に大きく延設された外部床４６と、その上方に張り出す軒天井４７（図６参照）とによって構成されている。外部床４６の高さはリビングルーム３７の床面と同じ高さに揃えられ、軒天井４７の高さはリビングルーム３７の天井面と同じ高さに揃えられている。北側および南側の外部床４６の、窓の開口面と直交する方向への張出寸法は、リビングルーム３７の天井高の０．８倍以上となされ、例示の形態では、リビングルーム３７の天井高が約２．６ｍで、外部床４６の張出寸法が約２．５ｍとなっている。軒天井４７は、窓の開口面と直交する方向への張出寸法が、リビングルーム３７の天井高の０．６倍以上となされ、例示の形態では約２．７ｍとなっている。それら半屋外空間のさらに外側は、ボリューム感のある植栽４８によって囲まれている。
　図６は、このリビングルーム３７を間仕切り壁側から西向きに見た内観透視図である。この図から把握されるように、このリビングルーム３７は、室内から屋外へと連続する開放感を、南北二方向（図示左右方向）に感じることのできる空間となっている。室内の床面および天井面と高さを揃え、室内の天井高ほどの張出寸法をもって南北両側に延設されたテラス４４は、このリビングルーム３７の短辺方向に、長辺方向にも勝る空間的な拡がり感を付与する。
　互いに対面して大きく開口した窓からは、南北両側の陰影に富んだ外光が室内に取り込まれ、その窓の一部を開放することによって心地よい風が室内を横断的に通り抜ける。例示形態では、リビングルーム３７の室内の窓際部分の床仕上材と外部床４６の床仕上材とが同一または同じ質感の材料で揃えられるとともに、リビングルーム３７の室内の天井仕上材と軒天井４７の仕上材も、同一または同じ質感の材料で揃えられている。これらの構成により、屋内外の境目が曖昧で、特に水平方向の連続性、透明感、透過感等を強く感じさせる雰囲気が室内全体に創出される。
　また、西面に食い込むように配置された箱状構造体３８の、開口のない壁面は、外周の大部分がガラスによって囲まれた開放的な居室の中央に重厚感を付与する構造的なアクセントとなる。さらに、この壁面によって西向きの視線が遮られることで、南北方向への連続性がより強調されるとともに、この壁面に沿って、室内の中央付近に落ち着きのあるスペースが形成される。例示形態では、この住宅１Ａの外壁の主要部分に張設されている外壁仕上材が、この箱状構造体３８の外周面にも、屋内外にまたがって張設されている。それによって屋内外の境目がさらに曖昧になり、屋外空間との一体感が、より引き立てられる。
　　（２階）
　階段２３から２階に上がると、図４に示すように、吹抜けを廻るように設けられたギャラリーホール５１から廊下５２を経由して、東側の子供室５３、北側のＳＰＡルーム５４、西側の主寝室５５へとそれぞれ通じている。子供室にはウォーク・イン・クローゼット５６が併設され、窓開口は南向きに設けられている。ＳＰＡルームには、浴室５７、トイレ５８、洗面・洗濯コーナー５９等が配置され、窓開口は北向きおよび東向きに設けられている。
　主寝室５５は、１階のリビングルーム３７の上方に重なるように配置されている。主寝室５５の南面および北面は、１階のリビングルーム３７の南面および北面の直上に位置しており、各面にはそれらの壁長の略全体にわたって開口する窓６１、６２が設けられている。主寝室５５の西側には、１階から立ち上がる箱状構造体３８の略半部が食い込み、その内部に設けられた階段室３９と主寝室５５とが、箱状構造体３８の東側壁面に沿って設けられた独立壁６３によって仕切られている。箱状構造体３８の内部空間の西側には、ウォーク・イン・クローゼット６４が設けられている。
　主寝室５５の南面の窓６１は、床面から天井面の高さまで大きく開口し、隅部を含む３本の柱によって３か所の開口面に分割されている。それら３か所のうち中央および東側の２か所の開口面はガラス嵌め殺し窓となされ、西側１か所の開口面には引違い式の窓サッシが取り付けられて、屋内外の出入りが可能になっている。
　主寝室５５の北面の窓６２は、南面とは異なり、壁上部から天井面までの数十ｃｍの高さで開口する高窓となっている。この高窓も、隅部を含む３本の柱によって３か所の開口面に分割されており、中央および東側の２か所の開口面はガラス嵌め殺し窓、西側の開口面は開閉可能な引違い窓となっている。主寝室５５の西面の、箱状構造体３８によって分断された両側部も、北面と同様の高窓となっている。
　この主寝室５５には、南側に半屋外空間としてのバルコニー６６が設けられている。このバルコニー６６は、主寝室５５の南面全体および箱状構造体３８の南面の一部から南側に大きく延設された外部床６７と、その上方に張り出す軒天井６８とによって構成されている。外部床６７の高さは主寝室５５の床面と同じ高さに揃えられ、軒天井６８の高さは主寝室５５の天井面と同じ高さに揃えられている。外部床６７の、南側への張出寸法は、主寝室５５の天井高の０．８倍以上となされ、例示の形態では、主寝室５５の天井高が、勾配のない低い部分で約２．５ｍ、外部床６７の張出寸法が約２．０ｍとなっている。軒天井６８は、南側への張出寸法が主寝室５５の天井高の０．６倍以上となされ、例示の形態では約２．０ｍとなっている。
　バルコニー６６の外周縁近傍には、腰壁（手摺壁）６９が設けられている。この腰壁６９は、横長の断面形状を有する目隠しルーバーを複数本、適宜間隔で水平方向に配して構成されている。このような腰壁６９を設けることにより、屋外の斜め下方からの視線を遮って、プライバシーを適度に保持しつつ、水平方向の光や風を主寝室５５の室内に取り込むことができる。
　図７は、この主寝室５５を廊下との出入口付近から西向きに見た内観透視図である。この主寝室５５は、１階のリビングルーム３７よりもプライバシーを確保しやすいように、天井高一杯までの窓６１を南面にしか設けていない。しかし、北面にも、その壁長の略全体にわたって、上縁を天井面に揃えた窓（高窓）６２を設けている。この窓６２は、室内に柔らかい天空光を採り込んだり、ベッドから夜空を見たりすることを可能にし、窓の一部を開放すれば天井面に沿って風が横断的に通り抜ける。このようにして、室内から屋外への連続性が対面二方向に創出されることにより、この北面に窓がない、あるいは小さい窓しかない場合に比べると、はるかに心地よく開放感に富んだ雰囲気を形成することができる。
　また、西側の箱状構造体３８との間に立設された仕切り壁６３は、１階のリビングルーム３７に立設された壁面と同様に、主寝室５５の中央に重厚感を付与する構造的なアクセントとなって、ベッドを寄り添わせるのに適した落ち着き感を生み出すとともに、南北方向への連続性を強調する作用をなす。さらに、箱状構造体３８に組み込まれた耐力壁は、大きな窓開口によって囲まれた１階および２階の建物架構を構造的に強化する作用もなす。
　　（第２実施形態）
　図８～図１０は、本発明の第２実施形態に係る住宅１Ｂを示す。例示の住宅１Ｂも、主たる架構が木造軸組構法によって構築される２階建ての木造住宅であるが、敷地面積および建物の延床面積は、第１実施形態に係る住宅１Ａよりもやや小さめに設定されている。図８の配置図兼１階平面図において、敷地の図中下辺が前面道路に接しており、その他の三辺が隣地に接している。この実施形態についても、図８の図中上方を北と定め、住宅１Ｂ内の各部の位置関係を東西南北の方角によって示す。
　　（１階）
　１階は、ガレージ７１の脇から南北方向に通り抜け可能に設けられた通り庭７２を挟んで、東側部分と西側部分とに分かれている。東側部分は、通り庭７２に沿って設けられた南北方向に細長い玄関ホール７３、玄関ホール７３の中央部分および南端部分に連通するリビングルーム７４、玄関ホール７３の北端に併設された玄関クローゼット７５、玄関ホール７３の北端部分から短い廊下７６を介して連通する廊下収納７７、ダイニングキッチン７８、洗面・トイレ７９、ダイニングキッチン７８とリビングルーム７４との間に配置された階段室８１等によって構成されている。
　西側部分には、和室８２が、通り庭７２から直接出入できるように配置されている。和室８２の西側には２階に通じる階段８３が設けられ、和室８２の北側にはウッドデッキ８４が設けられている。
　この１階において、本発明の構成を具備するのは、南東部分のリビングルーム７４である。リビングルーム７４は、南北方向よりも東西方向が長い略矩形の平面形状をなしている。その南西角部には、玄関ホール７３の土間から同じ高さで連続するリビング土間８５が設けられている。このリビング土間８５は、その中間付近に形成された若干の段差を介してリビングルーム７４の上床面と同レベルに連続し、リビングルーム７４内に一体的に取り込まれた空間となっている。
　リビングルーム７４の南面には、床面から天井面まで大きく開口する窓８６が設けられている。南面の窓は、その壁長の約９割の範囲にわたって設けられ、柱によって４か所の開口面に分割されている。それらの開口面には、引違い式の窓サッシが取り付けられて、屋内外の出入りが可能になっている。
　この窓８６の南側には、半屋外空間としてのテラス８７が設けられている。テラス８７は、リビングルーム７４の南面の全長にわたって南側に延設された外部床８８と、その上方に張り出す軒天井８９とによって構成されている。ただし、テラス８７の西寄りの一部は、窓開口のないＬ字形の壁によって西面と南面の２面が囲まれた、やや閉鎖的なアルコーブ９１となっている。
　テラス８７の外部床８８の高さは、リビングルーム７４の床面と同じ高さに揃えられている。外部床８８の張出寸法は、リビングルーム７４の天井高の０．８倍以上となされ、例示の形態ではリビングルーム７４の天井高が約２．６ｍ、外部床８８のアルコーブ以外の部分の張出寸法が約３．２ｍとなっている。
　テラス８７の軒天井８９の高さは、リビングルーム７４の天井面と同じ高さに揃えられている。軒天井８９の張出寸法は、リビングルーム７４の天井高の０．６倍以上となされ、例示の形態では約２．０ｍとなっている。それら半屋外空間のさらに外側は、ボリューム感のある植栽９２によって囲まれている。
　リビングルーム７４の北面にも、その壁長の約半分の範囲にわたる窓９３が設けられている。北面の窓９３は、柱によって２か所の開口面に分割され、各開口面に引違い式の窓サッシが取り付けられて、屋内外の出入りが可能になっている。
　北面の窓９３の屋外側には、坪庭９４が設けられている。この坪庭９４は、階段室８１の東壁面およびダイニングキッチン７８の南壁面に囲まれて東向きに開放され、その上方には短い庇が設けられて、雨天時には濡れる屋外空間として構成されている。坪庭９４の床面は、リビングルーム７４の床面と同じ高さに揃えられている。
　このように構成されたリビングルーム７４は、室内から屋外へと連続する開放感を、南北二方向に感じることのできる空間となっている。室内の床面および天井面と高さを揃えて、南側に大きく延設されたテラス８７および北側に延設された坪庭９４は、このリビングルーム７４の短辺方向に、長辺方向にも勝る空間的な拡がり感を付与する。互いに対面して大きく開口した窓８６、９３からは、南北両側の外光が室内に取り込まれ、その窓の一部を開放することによって心地よい風が室内を横断的に通り抜ける。これにより、屋内外の境目が曖昧で、特に水平方向の連続性、透明感、透過感を強く感じさせる雰囲気が室内全体に創出される。
　　（２階）
　この住宅１Ｂの２階は、図９に示すように、階段ホール１０１およびその西側に連続する廊下ラウンジ１０２を中心にして、南側に配置された２つの個寝室１０３、１０４、西側に配置された主寝室１０５、北側に配置された洗面・洗濯室１０６、浴室１０７、トイレ１０８、子供室１０９等によって構成されている。南側２つの個寝室１０３、１０４、西側の主寝室１０５および北側の子供室１０９には、それぞれウォーク・イン・クローゼット１１１、１１２、１１３が併設されている。
　南東側の個寝室１０３の南面および東面には、大きく開口する窓１１４、１１５と、その屋外側に連続するバルコニー１１６とが設けられている。南西側の個寝室の南面および西面には、それぞれの壁長の半分程度開口する窓１１７、１１８と、その屋外側に連続するバルコニー１１９とが設けられている。また、北東側に位置する洗面・洗濯室の東面にも、窓１２１と、その屋外側に連続するバルコニー１２２とが設けられている。
　これら２階の各居室のうち、本発明の構成を具備するのは、南東側の個寝室１０３である。この個寝室１０３は、南北方向の壁長が東西方向の壁長よりも僅かに大きい略矩形の平面形状をなしている。そして、各面の壁長の略全体にわたってＬ字形に連続するように、床面から天井面まで大きく開口する窓１１４、１１５が設けられている。両面の窓１１４、１１５は、柱によって全体で４か所の開口面に分割され、各開口面に引違い式の窓サッシが取り付けられて、屋内外の出入りが可能になっている。
　これらの窓１１４、１１５を介して連続する半屋外空間としてのバルコニー１１６は、個寝室１０３の南面および東面から南側および東側にそれぞれ延設された平面視Ｌ字形の外部床１２３と、その上方に張り出す軒天井１２４とによって構成されている。外部床１２３の高さは個寝室１０３の床面と同じ高さに揃えられ、軒天井１２４の高さは個寝室１０３の天井面と同じ高さに揃えられている。外部床１２３の、南側および東側への張出寸法は、個寝室１０３の天井高の０．８倍以上となされ、例示の形態では、個寝室１０３の天井高が約２．４ｍ、外部床１２３の張出寸法が約２．０ｍとなっている。軒天井１２４も同様に、南側および東側への張出寸法が個寝室１０３の天井高の０．６倍以上となされ、例示の形態では約１．５ｍとなっている。
　このように構成された個寝室１０３は、室内から屋外へと連続する開放感を、南側および東側の二方向に感じることのできる空間となっている。室内の床面および天井面と高さを揃えて、東側と南側に大きく延設されたバルコニー１１６は、この個寝室１０３の対角方向に空間的な拡がり感を付与する。Ｌ字形に連続して大きく開口した窓１１４、１１５からは、南側および東側の外光が室内に取り込まれ、その窓１１４、１１５の一部を開放することで心地よい風が室内を対角方向に通り抜ける。これにより、屋内外の境目が曖昧で、特に水平方向の連続性、透明感、透過感等を強く感じさせる雰囲気が室内全体に創出される。
　前記複数例の実施形態について説明したように、本発明の構成を具備する居室を設けた住宅は、自然とのつながりを感じながら、ゆったりと流れる時間を味わえる、心地良い居住空間となる。軒の出を深くして夏の強い日差しを遮りつつ、室内にやさしい光と風を採り込むことのできる大開口の窓際は、古来より日本人に親しまれてきた縁側などの中間領域を現代風にアレンジしたものと解することもできる。その外側に大きく拡がる半屋外空間では、飲食しながらのんびりと団らんしたり、時間を忘れて読書をしたり、心行くまでペットと遊んだりして、多忙でストレスの多い日常生活の中に癒しや潤いを取り戻すことができる。
　なお、本発明の技術的範囲は、例示した実施の形態によって限定的に解釈されるべきものではなく、特許請求の範囲の記載に基づいて概念的に解釈されるべきものである。本発明の実施に際しては、例示形態と実質的に同様の作用効果が得られる範囲において、居室および半屋外空間の形態や寸法等を多少、改変するなどしても差し支えない。

Claims (8)

  1. 　少なくとも一の居室の屋外側に、外部床と軒天井とを備えた半屋外空間が設けられ、前記居室内空間と前記半屋外空間とが窓を介して連通される住宅において、
    　前記居室の互いに相対する二つの壁面に、採光および通風を可能とする窓が、各壁面の壁長の１／２以上にわたる開口幅をもって互いに正対するように配置され、
    　前記二つの壁面のうち一方の壁面に設けられた第１の窓は、該居室の天井高一杯にわたって開口し、その開口面には少なくとも１か所の開閉可能な出入口が設けられるとともに、
    　他方の壁面に設けられた第２の窓は、少なくともその下縁が該居室の床面と揃う地窓か、またはその上縁が該居室の天井面と揃う高窓か、または該居室の天井高一杯にわたって開口する窓か、あるいはそれらを組み合わせた形態の窓のいずれかとなされ、
    　前記一方の壁面に設けられた第１の窓の屋外側には、該居室の床面と同じ高さで連続する外部床と、該居室の天井面と同じ高さで連続する軒天井とが、少なくとも該窓の開口幅全体にわたって延設され、
    　前記外部床の、前記開口面に直交する方向の張出寸法が、該居室の天井高の０．８倍以上であり、
    　前記軒天井の、前記開口面に直交する方向の張出寸法が、該居室の天井高の０．６倍以上である
    　ことを特徴とする住宅。
  2. 　請求項１に記載された住宅において、
    　前記一方の壁面は、該居室における最も壁長の大きい壁面であり、
    　該一方の壁面に設けられた窓は、該一方の壁面と他方の壁面との対向間隔以上の開口幅を有する
    　ことを特徴とする住宅。
  3. 　少なくとも一の居室の屋外側に、外部床と軒天井とを備えた半屋外空間が設けられ、前記居室内空間と前記半屋外空間とが窓を介して連通される住宅において、
    　前記居室の出隅を形成する二つの壁面に、採光および通風を可能とする窓が、各壁面の壁長の１／２以上にわたる開口幅をもって平面視Ｌ字形に連続するように配置され、
    　前記二つの壁面のうち一方の壁面に設けられた第１の窓は、該居室の天井高一杯にわたって開口し、その開口面には少なくとも１か所の開閉可能な出入口が設けられるとともに、
    　他方の壁面に設けられた第２の窓は、少なくともその下縁が該居室の床面と揃う地窓か、またはその上縁が該居室の天井面と揃う高窓か、または該居室の天井高一杯にわたって開口する窓か、あるいはそれらを組み合わせた形態の窓のいずれかとなされ、
    　前記一方の壁面に設けられた第１の窓の屋外側には、該居室の床と同じ高さで連続する外部床と、該居室の天井と同じ高さで連続する軒天井とが、少なくとも該窓の開口幅全体にわたって延設され、
    　前記外部床の、前記開口面に直交する方向の張出寸法が、該居室の天井高の０．８倍以上であり、
    　前記軒天井の、前記開口面に直交する方向の張出寸法が、該居室の天井高の０．６倍以上である
    　ことを特徴とする住宅。
  4. 　請求項３に記載された住宅において、
    　前記一方の壁面は、該居室における最も壁長の大きい壁面であり、
    　該一方の壁面に設けられた窓は、該一方の壁面に直交する他方の壁面の壁長以上の開口幅を有する
    　ことを特徴とする住宅。
  5. 　請求項１～４のいずれか一項に記載された住宅において、
    　前記外部床が２階部分に設けられ、
    　該２階部分に設けられた外部床の外周縁近傍に、横方向に延びる目隠しルーバーを用いた通風性を有する腰壁が立設された
    　ことを特徴とする住宅。
  6. 　請求項１～５のいずれか一項に記載された住宅において、
    　前記居室が、上下２階層に重なるように設けられるとともに、
    　前記上下それぞれの居室の、天井高一杯にわたって開口する第１の窓の開口面が、同じ向きに配置されている
    　ことを特徴とする住宅。
  7. 　請求項６に記載された住宅において、
    　前記上下に重なる居室の、第１の窓および第２の窓が設けられていない壁面の中間部分に、平面視略矩形をなす箱状構造体が、前記上下に重なる居室の室内外にまたがって、両居室を上下方向に貫通するように設置された
    　ことを特徴とする住宅。
  8. 　請求項７に記載された住宅において、
    　前記箱状構造体の外周面に、互いに直交する二方向の耐力壁が配置された
    　ことを特徴とする住宅。
