For example, when the guidance route indicates a right turn at a certain guidance point, voice input such as "What happens if you go straight here?" Is performed.
- the information request may be made before the vehicle enters the guide point. For example, before the vehicle enters the intersection, which is the guide point, you may ask, "What happens if you go straight on the next guide point?" Further, for example, when the route can be calculated for each lane, it may correspond to "What happens if the lane next to the right is used?"
- the voice guidance device 1 calculates a new route (hereinafter, referred to as "alternative route") that advances in the traveling direction specified by the user and reaches the same destination as the currently set guidance route. - the voice guidance device 1 may first output the information. Specifically, when the user specifies the required time, the arrival time, the traveling fee, the characteristics of the traveling route, and the like and requests the information, the voice guidance device 1 may first provide the information requested by the user. For example, when the user asks, "Is it faster to go straight here?", The information that the user wants to hear is the difference in the required time, so the voice guidance device 1 requires "5 minutes later.” Information about time may be output. In this case, the voice guidance device 1 may additionally output information on the traveling fee, information on the characteristics of the traveling route, and the like as additional information.
- FIG. 3 shows an example in which a user requests information on a route different from the guidance route.
- the guide route R is a route that passes through the guide point G1 and the guide point G2 in order to reach the destination D, and the vehicle Ve has entered the intersection corresponding to the next guide point G1.
- the vehicle Ve needs to turn right at the guide point G1, but as shown in the enlarged view of the guide point G1, it is assumed that the right turn lane is congested with another vehicle V.
- the user requests information when going straight on this guidance point.
- the user inputs a voice such as "What happens if I go straight here?".
- the voice guidance device 1 calculates an alternative route when the vehicle goes straight on the guidance point G1 from the current position of the vehicle to the destination D, and compares the current guidance route with the alternative route. Output information about.
- the voice guidance device 1 calculates the alternative route Rx shown by the broken line, and the required time, arrival time, travel charge, and travel route when traveling on the guidance route R and when traveling on the alternative route Rx. - the voice guidance device 1 determines whether or not the vehicle has arrived at the destination (step S15). If the vehicle has not arrived at the destination (step S15: No), the process returns to step S11. On the other hand, when the vehicle arrives at the destination (step S15: Yes), the route guidance process ends.
- the voice guidance device 1 when the user requests information by designating a direction different from the guidance route, the voice guidance device 1 relates to the comparison between the alternative route traveling in that direction and the current guidance route. Provide information. Therefore, the user can decide in which direction to proceed in consideration of the provided information.

- the voice guidance device 1A has the same configuration as the voice guidance device 1 described in the first embodiment described above (see FIG. 2).
- the voice guidance device 1A since the server device 2 performs the route search process and the route guidance process based on the map DB 4, the voice guidance device 1A does not have to have the map DB 4.
- the voice guidance device 1A outputs the position information of the vehicle Ve output by the sensor group 15, information about the designated destination, and the like.
- the including upload signal "S1" is transmitted to the server device 2.
- the voice guidance device 1A supplies the server device 2 with an upload signal S1 including information on that fact and the traveling state of the vehicle Ve at that time. Further, when the voice guidance device 1A receives the control signal "S2" related to the voice output from the server device 2 while the vehicle Ve is traveling, the voice guidance device 1A outputs the voice by the voice output unit 17 based on the control signal S2. In this case, the voice guidance device 1A outputs information regarding the comparison between the guidance route and the alternative route based on the control signal S2.
