Description

단일 원자 촉매 및 그 형성 방법
본 발명은 단일 원자 촉매 및 그 형성 방법에 관한 것이다.
주변 레독스(redox) 매개체로부터의 전자 이동, 보조 인자의 가역성 변화 및 거시적인 기능적/구조적 변화를 포함하는 가역성 및 협력적 활성화 과정은 생물학적 효소의 가장 중요한 특성 중 하나이며 균일 촉매의 설계에 자주 사용된다. 그러나 이러한 효소적 특성을 지닌 불균일 촉매에 대해 알려진 것은 거의 없다.
불균일 광촉매는 수소 생산, CO2 전환, 수처리 및 유기 합성과 같은 많은 잠재 응용 분야를 가지고 있다. 이러한 응용 분야에서 높은 효율과 선택성을 얻기 위해서는 조촉매의 전자 밴드 구조와 광 흡수제와의 상호 작용을 광촉매의 고유한 광 흡수 특성과 함께 조사해야 한다. 그러나, 조촉매의 위치와 원자가는 원자 수준에서 제어하기가 어렵기 때문에 광촉매 반응 동안의 메커니즘을 원자론적으로 이해하는 것이 어렵다.
상기와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위하여, 본 발명은 우수한 성능의 단일 원자 촉매를 제공한다.

본 발명의 다른 목적들은 다음의 상세한 설명과 첨부한 도면으로부터 명확해 질 것이다.
본 발명의 실시예들에 따른 단일 원자 촉매는 제1 금속 산화물을 포함하는 지지체 및 상기 제1 금속 산화물에 위치하는 제2 금속 원자를 포함한다.
본 발명의 실시예들에 따른 단일 원자 촉매의 형성 방법은, 희생 나노입자를 형성하는 단계, 상기 희생 나노입자를 제1 금속 산화물로 코팅하는 단계, 상기 제1 금속 산화물에 제2 금속 원자를 흡착시키는 단계, 상기 지지체 위에 희생층을 형성하는 단계, 및 상기 제1 금속 산화물을 가열하는 단계를 포함한다.
본 발명의 실시예들에 따른 단일 원자 촉매는 우수한 성능을 가질 수 있다. 상기 단일 원자 촉매는 지지체에 고정되는 단일 원자에 대한 국부적 원자 구성을 조정함으로써 독창적이로 향상된 촉매 성능을 달성할 수 있다. 또, 상기 단일 원자 촉매는 우수한 광촉매 특성을 가질 수 있다. 상기 단일 원자 촉매는 간단한 방법으로 쉽게 형성될 수 있다.

이하, 실시예들을 통하여 본 발명을 상세하게 설명한다. 본 발명의 목적, 특징, 장점은 이하의 실시예들을 통해 쉽게 이해될 것이다. 본 발명은 여기서 설명되는 실시예들에 한정되지 않고, 다른 형태로 구체화될 수도 있다. 여기서 소개되는 실시예들은 개시된 내용이 철저하고 완전해질 수 있도록 그리고 본 발명이 속하는 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게 본 발명의 사상이 충분히 전달될 수 있도록 하기 위해 제공되는 것이다. 따라서, 이하의 실시예들에 의하여 본 발명이 제한되어서는 안 된다.
본 발명의 실시예들에 따른 단일 원자 촉매는 제1 금속 산화물을 포함하는 지지체 및 상기 제1 금속 산화물에 위치하는 제2 금속 원자를 포함한다.
상기 제2 금속 원자는, 상기 제1 금속 산화물 내 제1 금속 공극에 위치할 수 있다. 상기 제1 금속 산화물은 TiO2를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 제2 금속은 전이 금속을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 제2 금속은 Cu, Fe, Co, Ni, 및 Rh 중에서 선택된 하나 또는 둘 이상을 포함할 수 있다.
상기 지지체는 중공 구조의 구 형상을 가질 수 있다. 상기 제1 금속 산화물은 결정성을 가질 수 있다.
상기 단일 원자 촉매는 광 조사에 의해 활성화될 수 있고, 산소에 노출되는 것에 의해 비활성화될 수 있다.
본 발명의 실시예들에 따른 단일 원자 촉매의 형성 방법은, 희생 나노입자를 형성하는 단계, 상기 희생 나노입자를 제1 금속 산화물로 코팅하는 단계, 상기 제1 금속 산화물에 제2 금속 원자를 흡착시키는 단계, 상기 지지체 위에 희생층을 형성하는 단계, 및 상기 제1 금속 산화물을 가열하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
상기 제1 금속 산화물은 TiO2를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 제2 금속은 전이 금속을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 제2 금속은 Cu, Fe, Co, Ni, 및 Rh 중에서 선택된 하나 또는 둘 이상을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 가열에 의해 상기 제1 금속 산화물은 비정질에서 결정질로 변할 수 있다. 상기 가열에 의해 상기 제2 금속 원자는 상기 제1 금속 산화물의 제1 금속 공극에 배치될 수 있다.

[단일 원자 촉매의 형성예]
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 단일 원자 촉매의 형성 방법은 SiO2 나노입자를 형성하는 단계, 상기 SiO2 나노입자를 TiO2로 코팅하는 단계, 상기 TiO2에 전이 금속 원자를 흡착시키는 단계, 상기 TiO2를 SiO2로 코팅하는 단계, 상기 TiO2를 가열하는 단계, 및 상기 SiO2 나노입자 및 SiO2 코팅층을 제거하는 단계를 포함한다.
1) SiO2 나노입자의 형성
SiO2 나노입자를 형성한다. SiO2 나노입자는 졸-겔 반응에 의해 형성될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 상기 SiO2 나노입자는 실온에서 에틸 알코올(23mL), H2O(4.3mL) 및 암모니아수(0.6mL)를 포함하는 용액에 TEOS(0.86mL)를 첨가하고, 약 6시간 동안 격렬하게 교반하는 것에 의해 형성될 수 있다. 상기 SiO2 나노입자를 원심 분리하여 물과 에틸 알코올로 세척한 후 에틸 알코올에 분산시킨다. 상기 SiO2의 형상은 구형일 수 있다.
2) TiO2 코팅
SiO2 입자를 TiO2로 코팅한다. SiO2 나노입자를 40mL의 무수 에틸 알코올에 분산시켜 SiO2 나노입자 용액을 형성한다. 상기 SiO2 나노입자 용액에 순수 아세트니트릴 14mL와 암모니아수(28~30wt%) 0.4mL를 첨가하여 제1 혼합 용액을 형성한다. 상기 제1 혼합용액에서 상기 암모니아수의 양은 TiO2 코팅의 동역학에 영향을 미친다. 상기 제1 혼합 용액을 10분 동안 초음파 처리하여 상기 SiO2 나노입자를 잘 분산시킨다. 무수 에틸 알콜 6mL와 아세토니트릴 2mL를 혼합한 용액에 TBOT(Titanium(IV) n-butoxide) 0.8mL를 용해시켜 제2 혼합 용액을 형성한다. 제1 혼합 용액과 제2 혼합 용액을 혼합하고 약 3시간 동안 교반하여 SiO2 나노입자를 TiO2로 코팅한다. 생성된 백색 용액을 원심 분리하고, 에틸 알코올 및 물로 세척한다. TiO2로 코팅된 SiO2 나노입자(SiO2@TiO2 나노입자)를 H2O 40mL에 분산시킨다.
3) 전이 금속 원자의 흡착
TiO2에 전이 금속 원자를 흡착시킨다. 금속 전구체로 금속 염화물 수화물(FeCl3·6H2O, CoCl2·3H2O, NiCl2·6H2O, CuCl2·2H2O 및 RhCl3·xH2O)을 사용한다. 금속 염화물 4.0 mg을 SiO2@TiO2 나노입자의 콜로이드 용액 40mL에 첨가한다. 혼합된 콜로이드 용액을 실온에서 3시간 동안 격렬하게 교반하여 금속 원자를 SiO2@TiO2 나노입자의 TiO2에 흡착시킨다. 금속 원자가 흡착된 SiO2@TiO2 나노입자(SiO2@M/TiO2 나노입자)를 원심 분리하고 물로 세척한다. SiO2@TiO2 나노입자의 색은 백색이지만 금속 이온 흡착에 의해 나노입자의 색이 바뀌고 흡착되는 금속 원자에 따라 색이 달라진다(Fe : 황색, Co : 청색, Ni : 녹색, Cu : 옅은 청색, Rh : 주황색).
4) SiO2 코팅층의 형성
전이 금속 원자가 흡착된 TiO2 위에 SiO2 코팅층을 형성한다. 상기 SiO2@M/TiO2 나노입자를 40mL의 H2O에 분산시킨다. PVP(0.4g)를 첨가한 후, 용액을 밤새 교반하여 SiO2@M/TiO2 나노입자의 표면 상에 PVP를 흡착시킨다. PVP 흡착 후 생성물을 원심 분리에 의해 분리하고 10분 동안 강한 초음파 처리에 의해 에탄올(46mL) 및 H2O(8.6mL)의 용액에 재분산시킨다. 이어서, 1.2mL의 암모니아수(28~30wt%) 및 1.6mL의 TEOS(tetraethyl orthosilicate)를 상기 용액에 첨가한다. 표면에 흡착된 금속 원자의 즉각적인 안정화는 10초 이내에 빠른 색 변화를 일으키고 SiO2 코팅층을 형성한다. 반응 4시간 후, SiO2 코팅층이 형성된 SiO2@M/TiO2 나노입자(SiO2@M/TiO2@SiO2 나노입자)를 에탄올 및 물로 세척한다. SiO2@M/TiO2@SiO2 나노입자를 원심 분리하고, 80℃에서 공기 중에서 건조시키고, 균일성을 얻기 위해 모르타르(mortar)로 분쇄한다.
5) TiO2 가열
TiO2를 가열한다. 금속 원자의 재분배를 공간적으로 한정하기 위해, 건조 SiO2@M/TiO2@SiO2 나노입자 분말을 900℃에서 2시간 동안 하소시키는 어닐링 공정을 수행한다. 상기 어닐링 공정에서 충분한 산소를 공급하는 것이 바람직하다. 상기 가열에 의해 TiO2는 비정질에서 결정질로 변하고, 전이 금속 원자는 Ti 공극에 배치된다.
6) SiO2 제거
SiO2 나노입자와 SiO2 코팅층을 제거한다. SiO2 에칭을 위해 소성된 SiO2@M/TiO2@SiO2 나노입자를 0.5M NaOH 용액에 분산시킨다. 분산액을 연속적으로 교반하면서 90℃로 가열한다. 6시간 후 생성물을 원심 분리에 의해 분리하고 H2O 및 에틸 알코올로 세척하여 M/TiO2를 수득한다. 상기 M/TiO2를 80℃ 전기 오븐에서 건조시킨다. 이에 의해, 단일 원자 촉매가 형성된다. TiO2는 단일 원자 촉매의 지지체또는 조촉매로 기능한다. 또, TiO2는 결정성을 가질 수 있고, 중공 구조의 구 형상을 가질 수 있다.

도 1 및 도 2를 참조하면, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 단일 원자 Cu/TiO2 촉매는 사이트 특이적 단일 원자 촉매로 광촉매 H2 생성 반응 조건 하에서 독특한 광 활성화 과정을 거친다. Cu/TiO2의 색은 Ar 대기 하에서 3:1(v/v) 물-메탄올 용액에서 광 조사 후에 백색에서 흑색으로 변한다. 흑색 Cu/TiO2는 빛이 Ar 대기 하에서 꺼진 후에도 색을 유지하고 효율적으로 H2를 생성한다. 광 조사없이 O2에 노출되면 색상이 원래의 흰색으로 되돌아와 광 활성화 사이클이 완료된다.
상기 단일 원자 Cu/TiO2 촉매는 처음에는 고립된 구리 원자와 TiO2가 휴면 상태에 있으며 비활성 상태이다(CT0 상태). 전자와 정공을 생성하는 빛을 흡수하여 CT0 상태가 광 여기 상태 (CT1 상태)로 바뀐다. 광 생성된 전자는 TiO2의 전도대에서 고립된 구리 원자의 d-궤도로 이동한다. 여분의 전하는 산소 양성자화에 의해 보상되어 레독스 활성의 고립된 구리 원자의 원자가 변화를 일으킨다(CT2 상태). 구리 d-궤도에서 포획된 전자는 분극 장을 유도하여 고립된 구리 원자 주위에 국부적인 TiO2 격자 왜곡을 초래한다(CT3 상태). CT3 상태는 완전히 다른 광전기화학적 성질을 나타내며 광촉매 H2 생성 활성을 크게 향상시킨다. 활성 CT3 상태는 어두운 상태에서 몇 분 동안 O2에 간단히 노출되었을 때 원래의 휴면 CT0 상태로 쉽게 되돌아갈 수 있다. 고립된 구리 원자와 인접한 TiO2 사이의 이 협동적이고 가역적인 상호 작용은 전통적인 불균일 촉매와 달리 효소 및 관련 생체 모방 균일 촉매와 근본적으로 유사하다.

도 3 내지 도 6을 참조하면, 사이트 특이적 단일 원자 촉매의 합성을 위해 먼저 TiO2 아나타제 (101) 표면에 구리 원자를 안정화시킬 수 있는 후보 결합 위치를 확인하고 결합 과정과 관련된 에너지론을 결정하고, 공극 보조 결합 위치에서 독점적으로 단일 원자 촉매의 설계 및 합성을 하기 위해 밀도 기능 이론(density functional theory, DFT) 사용할 수 있다.
단일 원자에 대한 결합 위치 준비 에너지(EP)와 준비된 결합 위치의 단일 원자 결합 에너지(EB)를 포함하는 본-하버(Born-Haber) 사이클을 사용하여 원자 촉매의 형성 에너지(EF)를 단순화할 수 있다(EF = EP + EB). 계산된 에너지 구성 요소를 기반으로 후보 위치는 Ep를 필요로 하는 위치와 그렇지 않은 위치로 분류할 수 있다. Ep를 필요로 하지 않는 3개의 사이트(어탑(atop) Ti 사이트, 중공 사이트 및 브릿지 사이트)는 표면 결합 사이트로 분류되는 반면 Ep가 필요한 두 결합 사이트는 공극 형성을 위해 높은 외부 에너지를 필요로 하는 공극 보조 결합 사이트를 필요로 한다. DFT 결과에 따르면 O 공극보다는 Ti 공극에서 결합을 보장하기 위해 합성이 열역학적 동력에 의해 제어되어야 한다. 표면 확산을 방지하기 위해 SiO2 오버레이어로 코팅하고, TiO2 상의 가장 안정한 Ti 공극에만 금속 원자를 병합하기 위해 고온 열처리를 수행한다.
단일 원자 Cu/TiO2 광촉매는 1) SiO2 나노입자에 TiO2를 코팅한 후 TiO2에 금속 원자를 흡착시키는 단계(Cu atom predistribution), 2) SiO2 오버레이어로 코팅하는 단계(Wrap process), 3) 900℃에서의 열처리하는 단계(Bake process), 4) SiO2를 에칭하여 제거하는 단계(Peel process)를 수행하여 형성될 수 있다.
도 7은 Cu/TiO2의 TEM 이미지를 나타내고, 도 8은 Cu/TiO2의 STEM-EDS 원자 맵핑을 나타내고, 도 9는 Cu/TiO2의 Cu K-에지 XANES 스펙트럼을 나타내고, 도 10은 Ti 및 Cu K-에지에서 Cu/TiO2의 EXAFS 스펙트럼 및 분석 결과를 나타내고, 도 11은 TiO2 아나타제의 시뮬레이션된 HAADF-STEM 이미지를 나타내고, 도 12 및 도 13은 TiO2 아나타제의 Cs 보정된 HAADF-STEM 이미지를 나타내고, 도 14는 Rh/TiO2의 푸리에 변환 패턴을 나타내며, 도 15는 Rh/TiO2의 XY 라인 스캔 프로파일을 나타낸다.
도 7을 참조하면, TEM 이미지에 따르면 잘 분산된 Cu/TiO2 나노입자는 약 5 nm TiO2 나노 결정으로 구성된다. SiO2 코팅층에 의한 보호가 없으면 심각한 응집이 발생할 수 있다.
도 8을 참조하면, STEM 모드에서의 에너지 분산 X-선 분광법(EDS) 분석은 응집되지 않은 구리 종의 균일한 분산을 보여준다.
도 9를 참조하면, XANES(X-ray absorption near edge structure) 분광법은 CuII의 전형적인 특성인 초기 백색 Cu/TiO2 막에서 8996.3eV의 흡수 에너지와 8989.3eV의 작은 숄더를 보여준다.
도 10을 참조하면, EXAFS(extended X-ray-absorption fine-structure) 분석에서의 Ti K 에지 스펙트럼은 결정질 아나타제 상에서 Ti-O및 Ti-Ti의 두 가지 특성 거리의 존재를 보여준다. Cu K 에지의 EXAFS 스펙트럼은 Ti K 에지의 EXAFS 스펙트럼과 매우 유사하며 이는 금속 원자가 Ti 사이트에 위치하는 것을 나타낸다. 사이트 특이 구성은 구리 원자와 격자 산소의 직접 결합(Cu-O)에 해당하는 주요 피크뿐만 아니라 고립된 구리 주변의 국부적인 TiO2 환경(Cu-Ti)을 나타내는 작은 피크를 초래한다. EXAFS 커브-피팅(curve-fitting) 분석을 통해 국부 조정 환경을 조사하면, 가장 잘 맞는 곡선은 첫번째 피크가 첫번째 Cu-O 쉘 배위에 기인하는 반면 작은 두번째 피크는 Cu-Ti 기여에서 유래한다는 것을 보여준다.
도 11 내지 도 15를 참조하면, 본 발명의 단일 원자 촉매의 형성 방법에 따르면 중공의 TiO2 나노입자의 Ti 공극에만 Cu, Fe, Co, Ni 및 Rh를 포함하는 원자적으로 분산된 금속이 로딩된 단일 원자 촉매를 형성할 수 있다. 밝은 대조 점은 Ti 원자 열에만 위치하여 Rh 원자가 Ti 공극에 독점적으로 존재함을 확인할 수 있다. 또, 원자 분해능 HAADF-STEM 이미지 처리 및 EXAFS 분석 결과는 일관성이 있으며 사이트 특이 Ti 공극에 금속 원자가 균일하게 병합되는 것을 보여준다.
도 16은 Cu의 로딩량에 따른 Cu/TiO2의 H2 생성 속도를 나타내고, 도 17은 Cu/TiO2의 H2 생성의 사이클을 나타내고, 도 18은 Cu/TiO2의 광조사 10분 전후의 흡수 스펙트럼 변화를 나타내고, 도 19는 Cu/TiO2의 광조사 10분 전후의 Cu K-에지 XANES 스펙트럼을 나타내고, 도 20은 Cu/TiO2의 시간에 따른 H2 방출 속도를 나타내며, 도 21은 광조사 10분 전후의 Cu/TiO2의 포토루미네센스 스펙트럼을 나타낸다.
도 16 및 도 17을 참조하면, 0.75wt%의 구리를 포함하는 Cu/TiO2 광촉매의 H2 생성율이 16.6mmol/gh로 가장 높게 나타났다. H2 생성이 4회 연속 주기 동안 이루어지는 동안 광촉매 활성이 크게 감소하지 않고 안정적으로 유지되었다. 최적화된 0.75wt% Cu/TiO2 광촉매는 340nm에서 45.5%의 겉보기 양자 효율(apparent quantum efficiency, AQE)을 나타내며, 이는 기존 TiO2 기반 광촉매의 겉보기 양자 효율을 훨씬 능가한다.
도 18을 참조하면, 휴지 상태 샘플과 활성 상태 샘플 사이의 색의 차이에 의해 밝혀진 바와 같이, UV-vis 흡수 스펙트럼은 완전히 다른 패턴을 나타낸다. 휴지 상태 샘플은 아나타제 TiO2 의 밴드-밴드 전이와 Cu의 d-d 전이 각각에 해당하는 약 390nm에서의 급격한 시작과 700nm에서의 넓은 밴드를 보인다. 활성 상태 샘플은 측정된 파장의 전체 범위(300 ~ 800nm)에서 매우 강한 흡수를 나타낸다.
도 19를 참조하면, 광 활성화 과정 동안 고립된 구리의 원자의 상태 변화는 XANES 측정에 의해 확인될 수 있다. 휴지 상태 샘플에 광을 조사하면 8982.1eV에서 뚜렷한 숄더가 생기고 8996.3eV에서 주 피크가 감소하여 구리의 원자가가 광 생성 전자에 의해 감소된다. 균일하게 분포된 Cu 원자를 고려할 때, 흡수 특성의 급격한 변화는 고립된 구리 원자와 국부적인 TiO2 환경 사이에서 광 생성 전자에 의해 개시되는 협력적인 광 활성화 및 후속 격자 왜곡에 기인할 수 있다.
도 20을 참조하면, H2의 방출 속도는 광 조사 초기 10분 동안 급속하게 증가하였고 이후에 거의 일정하게 유지된다.
도 21을 참조하면, 초기 휴지 상태의 포토루미네센스 스펙트럼(CT0)은 순수 TiO2의 포토루미네센스 스펙트럼과 거의 동일하고, 이는 광 활성화가 일어나기 전에 전하 캐리어의 효율적인 분리가 일어나지 않는 것을 보여준다. 활성 상태의 포토루미네센스 스펙트럼(CT3)은 현저하게 감소하는데, 이는 초기 백색 Cu/TiO2(CT0, 휴지 상태)는 불활성이고, 생성된 흑색 Cu/TiO2(CT3, 활성 상태)는 광촉매 활성을 갖는다는 것을 나타낸다.
도 22 내지 도 24는 Cu 및 TiO2의 협동적 인터플레이에서 고립된 Cu 원자의 역할을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 22 및 도 23을 참조하면, DFT 계산은 Ti 공극 내 Cu 원자가 TiO2의 원자가와 전도대 사이에 Cu dx2-y2와 dz2 특성을 갖는 중간 갭 상태를 제공한다는 것을 설명한다.
도 24를 참조하면, 광 여기 후(도24의 왼쪽), 광 생성된 전자는 Cu dz2 상태에 국한되어 Cu 원자의 원자가 상태를 변화시킨다. 추가의 양성자가 표면 전하의 균형을 맞추기 위해 표면에 흡착되는게 필요하다(도 24의 중간). 순수 TiO2 표면의 광 생성 전자가 Cu 레독스 센터가 없기 때문에 금속 중심에 국한되기보다는 TiO2의 전도대에서 비국부적으로 남아 있다. Cu dz2 상태는 축 방향의 반-결합(anti-bonding) 특성을 갖고 있기 때문에, 이 상태에서의 전자 국부화는 2.005ÅA에서 2.321ÅA까지 배면 산소 배위를 늘림으로써 격자 왜곡을 일으키고(도24의 오른쪽), 이는 Cu에서 국부적인 전자를 안정화시킬 뿐만 아니라 TiO2근처에서 격자 왜곡을 일으킨다. 즉, 고립된 구리는 동적 광촉매 작용 동안 국부적인 TiO2 격자를 가역적으로 조정하는 레독스 활성 금속 요인으로 작용한다. 동적 광촉매 과정에서 고립된 Cu 원자의 원자가 상태는 광 생성 전자의 원자 국부화에 의해 변화된다. 이 원자가 변화는 인접한 TiO2의 활성화를 유도하여 초기에 휴지 상태인 TiO2를 활성 상태로 조정하여 광촉매 성능을 크게 향상시킨다.
이제까지 본 발명에 대한 구체적인 실시예들을 살펴보았다. 본 발명이 속하는 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자는 본 발명이 본 발명의 본질적인 특성에서 벗어나지 않는 범위에서 변형된 형태로 구현될 수 있음을 이해할 수 있을 것이다. 그러므로 개시된 실시예들은 한정적인 관점이 아니라 설명적인 관점에서 고려되어야 한다. 본 발명의 범위는 전술한 설명이 아니라 특허청구범위에 나타나 있으며, 그와 동등한 범위 내에 있는 모든 차이점은 본 발명에 포함된 것으로 해석되어야 할 것이다.
본 발명의 실시예들에 따른 단일 원자 촉매는 우수한 성능을 가질 수 있다. 상기 단일 원자 촉매는 지지체에 고정되는 단일 원자에 대한 국부적 원자 구성을 조정함으로써 독창적이로 향상된 촉매 성능을 달성할 수 있다. 또, 상기 단일 원자 촉매는 우수한 광촉매 특성을 가질 수 있다. 상기 단일 원자 촉매는 간단한 방법으로 쉽게 형성될 수 있다.

Claims (16)

  1. 제1 금속 산화물을 포함하는 지지체; 및
    상기 제1 금속 산화물에 위치하는 제2 금속 원자를 포함하는 단일 원자 촉매.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제2 금속 원자는,
    상기 제1 금속 산화물 내 제1 금속 공극에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단일 원자 촉매.
  3. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 금속 산화물은 TiO2를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단일 원자 촉매.
  4. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제2 금속은 전이 금속을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단일 원자 촉매.
  5. 제 4 항에 있어서,
    상기 제2 금속은 Cu, Fe, Co, Ni, 및 Rh 중에서 선택된 하나 또는 둘 이상을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단일 원자 촉매.
  6. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 지지체는 중공 구조의 구 형상을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 단일 원자 촉매.
  7. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 금속 산화물은 결정성을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 단일 원자 촉매.
  8. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 단일 원자 촉매는,
    광 조사에 의해 활성화되고,
    산소에 노출되는 것에 의해 비활성화되는 것을 특징으로 하는 단일 원자 촉매.
  9. 희생 나노입자를 형성하는 단계;
    상기 희생 나노입자를 제1 금속 산화물로 코팅하는 단계;
    상기 제1 금속 산화물에 제2 금속 원자를 흡착시키는 단계;
    상기 지지체 위에 희생층을 형성하는 단계; 및
    상기 제1 금속 산화물을 가열하는 단계를 포함하는 단일 원자 촉매의 형성 방법.
  10. 제 9 항에 있어서,
    상기 희생 나노입자 및 상기 희생층은 SiO2로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 단일 원자 촉매의 형성 방법.
  11. 제 9 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 금속 산화물은 TiO2를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단일 원자 촉매의 형성 방법.
  12. 제 9 항에 있어서,
    상기 제2 금속은 전이 금속을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단일 원자 촉매의 형성 방법.
  13. 제 12 항에 있어서,
    상기 제2 금속은 Cu, Fe, Co, Ni, 및 Rh 중에서 선택된 하나 또는 둘 이상을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단일 원자 촉매의 형성 방법.
  14. 제 9 항에 있어서,
    상기 가열에 의해 상기 제1 금속 산화물은 비정질에서 결정질로 변하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단일 원자 촉매의 형성 방법.
  15. 제 9 항에 있어서,
    상기 가열에 의해 상기 제2 금속 원자는 상기 제1 금속 산화물의 제1 금속 공극에 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 단일 원자 촉매의 형성 방법.
  16. 제 9 항에 있어서,
    상기 희생 나노입자 및 상기 희생층을 제거하는 단계를 더 포함하는 단일 원자 촉매의 형성 방법.
