本体上部フレームは、本体下部フレームに対して、第1水平回転軸を中心に回動可能に設けられ、
さらに、手動用車輪付移動体の移動する路面の傾斜角度に応じて、本体上部フレームを所定回動位置に調整保持可能な本体上部フレーム調整保持機構を有するのがよい。
第1水平回転軸は、対応する下部枠フレームの対向する側面間を延び、
走行車輪は、対応する下部枠フレーム間のスペースに設けられるのがよい。
さらにまた、本体上部フレームは、それぞれ、細長上部開口を有する、肘掛けを構成する一対の上部枠フレームと、一対の上部枠フレーム同士を連結する幅方向上部フレームとを有し、
第2水平回転軸は、対応する上部枠フレームの対向する側面間を延び、
座席は、一対の上部枠フレーム間のスペースに設けられるのがよい。
上下フレームの下端には、第1水平回転軸を挟み込み可能な切り欠きが設けられ、
前記一対の当接ローラーの各々が、対応する走行車輪に接する状態において、該切り欠きの上端と前記第1水平回転軸との間には隙間が確保され、
本体下部フレームの細長下部開口と、本体上部フレームの細長上部開口とが整列するように設けられ、
走行車輪、第1スプロケット、第2スプロケット、第1歯車および第2歯車およびチェーンは、対応する細長下部開口と対応する細長上部開口との間の上下スペースに設けられるのがよい。
さらに、一対の第1スプロケットそれぞれは、対応する走行車輪より小径で、対応する走行車輪に対して内側に設けられるのがよい。
前記本体下部フレームにおいて、前記一対の下部枠フレームそれぞれの手動用車輪付移動体の前端部には、一対の補助輪が片輪ずつ設けられる、のがよい。
加えて、一対の当接ローラーそれぞれは、走行車輪の外側から外接するように、走行車輪の第1水平回転軸に対して手動用車輪付移動体の後側であって、所定中心角度が水平に対して30°ないし60°に設けられ、
前記本体下部フレームには、前記一対の下部枠フレームそれぞれの手動用車輪付移動体の後端部には、一対の補助輪が片輪ずつ設けられるのがよい。
さらに、手動用車輪付移動体は、後部に手押し用の把持部が設けられる乳母車であるのがよい。
さらにまた、手動用車輪付移動体は、後部に手押し用の把持部が設けられる手押し車であり、本体上部フレームには、荷物搭載用荷台が設けられるのがよい。
一対の当接ローラーは、対応する走行車輪の環状リム部の内側スペースに設けられ、前記本体上部フレームが支持されるように、当接ローラーの回転力が走行車輪に伝達可能なように走行車輪に対して、第1水平回転軸を中心とする所定中心角度で内接するように設けられるのがよい。
また、さらに、一対の下部枠フレームそれぞれの内側側板の上面に跨って、移動体の前後方向に摺動可能に載置する移動型枠と、
移動型枠の対向する側板の一方に、手動用車輪付移動体の前側に進むほど高くなるように設けた複数の段差部が上部に設けられた階段状部と、
移動型枠を手動用車輪付移動体の前後方向に付勢する付勢部と、
一対の上部枠フレームの一方に設けられた、複数の段差部に対して後方から係止可能な係止部とを有し、
それにより、前記本体上部フレームの傾斜を調整可能であるのがよい。
さらに、複数の段差部には、手動用車輪付移動体の前後方向最後部が上り路面用、手動用車輪付移動体の前後方向最前部が下り路面用、その間が平坦な路面用、の3種類が設けられるのがよい。
さらにまた、前記係止部により一対の当接ローラーそれぞれと対応する走行車輪との接点位置が、調整可能であるのがよい。
加えて、前記本体上部フレームと前記第1水平回転軸との間にバネが設けられ、それにより、前記本体上部フレームの前記本体下部フレームに対する上下方向の相対移動が抑制されるのがよい。
手動用車輪付移動体10は、移動体の前後方向の中心軸線に関して線対称であり、一対の走行車輪まわりの構造、すなわち、左側の走行車輪まわりの構造と右側の走行車輪まわりの構造とは同一であるので、一方のみを説明することにより、他方の説明は省略する。なお、図面においては、手動用車輪付移動体10の前後方向の中心軸線に関して線対称な一対の要素には、A,Bを付している。
車輪は、一対の走行車輪18と一対の補助車輪120(後に説明)とを有し、一対の走行車輪18の各々は、本体下部フレーム14の各側に配設され、かつ、本体下部フレーム14の幅方向に延びる第1水平回転軸16により回転自在に支持されている。
座席20に着座して乗車した利用者は、両側に配置されている走行車輪18の各ハンドリム部75を握って送り操作をすることで、一対の走行車輪18を回動して車椅子10を前後方向等に移動するようになっている。
座席20の前方には利用者の足を配置して支持するためのフットプレート78が設けられている。
なお、ハンドリム部75は、後に説明する一対の当接ローラー100に設けてもよい。
一方、本体下部フレーム14は、それぞれ、細長下部開口22を有する、一対の下部枠フレーム24と、一対の下部枠フレーム24同士を連結する幅方向下部フレーム26とを有する。第1水平回転軸16は、対応する下部枠フレーム24の対向する側面29間を延び、走行車輪18は、対応する下部枠フレーム24間のスペース25に設けられる。
複数の段差部50には、手動用車輪付移動体10の前後方向最後部が上り路面用、手動用車輪付移動体10の前後方向最前部が下り路面用、その間が平坦な路面用、の3種類が設けられる。
より詳細には、図6(A)に示すように、路面が平坦な場合は、レバー124の操作により移動型枠46を手動用車輪付移動体10の前後方向に摺動させ、それにより、複数の段差部50の平坦な路面用の段差部に係止部56を設置することにより、座席20を水平に維持し、図6(B)に示すように、路面が上り傾斜面の場合は、複数の段差部50の上り路面用の段差部に係止部56を設置することにより、座席20を水平に維持し、図6(C)に示すように、路面が下り傾斜面平坦な場合は、複数の段差部50の下り路面用の段差部に係止部56を設置することにより、座席20を水平に維持することが可能である。
手動用車輪付移動体が移動する路面の傾斜に係わらず、ブレーキ機構を設けることなく、たとえば、下り道であれば、走行車輪が回転して移動体が前方に下るのを抑制する構造は、当接ローラー100、第1歯車104、第2歯車106、第2スプロケット108、第1スプロケット102、およびチェーン110から概略構成されている。
一対の当接ローラー100の表面と走行車輪18の外表面との間は、滑りが生じないように、たとえば、どちらか、あるいは両方の表面にコーティングが行われている。
なお、係止部56の長さを調整することにより、一対の当接ローラー100それぞれと対応する走行車輪18との接点N位置は、調整可能である。
この意味において、所定中心角度αは、一対の当接ローラー100が負荷する荷重、すなわち、利用者の重量、座席20、本体上部フレーム12の重量に応じて、設定すればよい。
一対の第1スプロケット102それぞれは、対応する走行車輪18より小径で、対応する走行車輪18に対して内側に設けられる。
一対のチェーン110それぞれに、チェーン110に対してテンションを付与可能なテンション付与機構118が設けられる。
テンション付与機構118により、後に説明するように、手動用車輪付移動体10が下り傾斜面にある場合、利用者が走行車輪18から手を離しても、手動用車輪付移動体10が前向きに下方に移動するのが防止される。
走行車輪18、第1スプロケット102、第2スプロケット108、第1歯車104および第2歯車106およびチェーン110は、互いに平行配置され、対応する細長下部開口22と対応する細長上部開口30との間の上下スペース114に設けられる。
さらなる変形例として、第1スプロケット102および第2スプロケット108によりチェーン110を介して走行車輪に対して回転力を伝達する代替として、第1スプロケット102および第2スプロケット108それぞれを第1傘歯車および第2傘歯車として、チェーン110の代わりに第1傘歯車および第2傘歯車それぞれに噛み合う傘歯車を各端に設けたロッドを採用してもよい。
なお、本体フレームおよび走行車輪まわりの構造は、金属製あるいは硬質の樹脂製でよい。
図7(A)に示すように、上り勾配の路面の場合、手動用車輪付移動体10は、後ろ向き下方に移動しようとして、走行車輪18は、矢印Aの方向に回転しようとする。
一方、本体上部フレームの荷重は、走行車輪18の第1水平回転軸16に負荷されず、当接ローラー100を介して、走行車輪18との接点Nに負荷される。
それにより、当接ローラー100は、接点Nから走行車輪18の外周面に沿って下方の向きに回転移動、すなわち、矢印Bの向きに回転しようとする。
これにより、当接ローラー100および当接ローラー100と一体の第1歯車104は、矢印Bの方向に回転しようとし、それにより、第1歯車104と噛み合う第2歯車106および第2歯車106と一体の第2スプロケット108は、矢印Cの方向に回転しようとし、第2スプロケット108の回転力がチェーン110を介して、第1スプロケット102に伝達され、第1スプロケット102と一体の走行車輪18に対して、矢印Aと同じ方向に回転させるとするが、ラチェット爪116を第2歯車106の歯間に噛ませることにより、この回転が阻止され、チェーン110を介して、手動用車輪付移動体10の下方への移動が阻止され、手動用車輪付移動体10はこのままの位置に保持される。
一方、本体上部フレーム12の荷重は、走行車輪18の第1水平回転軸16に負荷されず、当接ローラー100を介して、走行車輪18との接点Nに負荷される。
それにより、当接ローラー100は、接点Nから走行車輪18の外周面に沿って下方の向きに回転移動、すなわち、矢印Eの向きに回転しようとする。
これにより、当接ローラー100および当接ローラー100と一体の第1歯車104は、矢印Eの方向に回転しようとし、それにより、第1歯車104と噛み合う第2歯車106および第2歯車106と一体の第2スプロケット108は、矢印Fの方向に回転しようとし、第2スプロケット108の回転力がチェーン110を介して、第1スプロケット102に伝達され、第1スプロケット102と一体の走行車輪18に対して、矢印Dと反対方向に回転させようとし、その際、テンション付与機構118によりチェーン110を張っておくことにより、チェーン110を介して、手動用車輪付移動体10の下方への移動が阻止され、手動用車輪付移動体10はこのままの位置に保持される。
下り坂の場合、一対の走行車輪18は、第1水平回転軸16を中心に、手動用車輪付移動体10が下る方向に回転しようとするところ、各走行車輪18において、対応する第1スプロケット102が同じ方向に回転しようとする際、各当接ローラー100は、本体上部フレーム12が支持されるようにしつつ、当接ローラー100の回転力が走行車輪18に伝達可能なように、第1水平回転軸16と走行車輪18の路面との接点Nを結ぶ線Lよりも手動用車輪付移動体10の前側に位置し、走行車輪18に対して、第1水平回転軸16を中心とする所定中心角度αで、走行車輪28との間で滑りを生じることなく接するように設けられ、走行車輪18の径/当接ローラー100の径と第1スプロケット102の歯数/第2スプロケット108の歯数とが同じ比率に設定されているとともに、本体上部フレーム12により支持される重量物の荷重が、走行車輪18の第1水平回転軸16に負荷されることなしに、一対の当接ローラー100を介して、当接ローラー100と対応する走行車輪18との接点Nに負荷されるので、各当接ローラー100が走行車輪18の回転方向に対して逆回転方向に回転しようとし、この回転力が、対応する第1歯車104、第1歯車104に噛み合う第2歯車106、第2歯車106と同心状で一体的に回転する第2スプロケット108、および第2スプロケット108と第1スプロケット102との間を掛け渡すチェーン110を介して、テンション付与機構118によりチェーン110が張った状態のもとで、第1スプロケット102、かくして走行車輪18に作用することから、手動用車輪付移動体10が下らないように手動により走行車輪18を支える必要なく、平坦な路面と同様に、手を離した状態で、手動用車輪付移動体10をその場の位置に保持することが可能である。
本発明の第2実施形態の特徴は、第1実施形態において採用したチェーン110を削除し、その関係で、第1スプロケット102および第2スプロケット108を省略するとともに、チェーン110に対するテンション付与機構118をも削除した点にある。
より詳細には、当接ローラー100の第2水平回転軸36は、対応する上部枠フレーム32の対向する側面27間を延びるが、対向する側面27間には、平面部が上下方向に向けられたプレート128が設けられ、プレート128は、第2水平回転軸36を貫通している。プレート128と第1水平回転軸16との間には、バネ43が設けられ、バネ43の付勢力により、プレート128を介して当接ローラー100を第1水平回転軸16に向けて引き付けている。これにより、走行車輪18を支持する本体下部フレーム14と、当接ローラー100を支持する本体上部フレーム12とは非接触であるところ、このようなプレート120により当接ローラー100が走行車輪18の外周面に接するように保持されている。
本発明の第3実施形態の特徴は、一対の当接ローラー100を設ける位置にあり、第1実施形態においては、一対の当接ローラー100それぞれは、対応する走行車輪18に対して外接するように設けられているのに対して、本実施形態においては、一対の当接ローラー100それぞれは、対応する走行車輪18に対して内接するように設けられている点にある。
なお、一対の当接ローラー100が、本体上部フレーム12が支持されるようにしつつ、当接ローラー100の回転力が走行車輪に伝達可能なように、走行車輪に対して、第1水平回転軸16と走行車輪18の路面との接点Nを結ぶ線Lよりも手動用車輪付移動体10の前側に位置し、第1水平回転軸16を中心とする所定中心角度αで、走行車輪18との間で滑りを生じることなく接するように設けられる点は、第1実施形態と同様である。
たとえば、第1実施形態において、車椅子として説明したが、それに限定されることなく、後部に手押し用の把持部が設けられる乳母車、後部に手押し用の把持部が設けられ、本体上部フレーム12には、荷物搭載用荷台が設けられる、荷物を運搬する手押し車に適用してもよい。
たとえば、第1実施形態ないし第3実施形態それぞれにおいては、車椅子を対象に、上り傾斜路面および下り傾斜路面のいずれに対しても平坦な道と同様に手動操作可能なものとして説明したが、それに限定されることなく、手押し車のような場合には、使用者が常時、手押し車の後ろから手押し用の把持部を掴んでいることが前提であり、上り傾斜路面において後方に下る場合よりも、下り傾斜路面において前方に下る場合の方が問題であり、この場合には、第1実施形態ないし第3実施形態それぞれにおいて、上り傾斜路面対応用のラチェット爪116を省略してもよい。
たとえば、第2実施形態において、歯車状の一対の当接ローラーを走行車輪に対して外接するように設けるものとして説明したが、それに限定されることなく、第3実施形態のように、歯車状の一対の当接ローラーを走行車輪に対して内接するように設けてもよい。

Claims (19)
- 手動により車輪を回転させることにより移動可能な手動用車輪付移動体であって、
重量物を支持する本体上部フレームと、
それぞれ、本体上部フレームとは非接触である本体下部フレームの各側に配設され、かつ、本体下部フレームの幅方向に延びる第1水平回転軸により回転自在に支持された一対の走行車輪と、
それぞれ、本体上部フレームに取り付けられ、かつ、本体上部フレームの幅方向に延びる第2水平回転軸により回転自在に支持された一対の当接ローラーとを有し、
各当接ローラーは、前記本体上部フレームが支持されるようにしつつ、当接ローラーの回転力が走行車輪に伝達可能なように、第1水平回転軸と走行車輪の路面との接点を結ぶ線よりも手動用車輪付移動体の前側に位置し、走行車輪に対して、第1水平回転軸を中心とする所定中心角度で、走行車輪との間で滑りを生じることなく接するように設けられ、
本体上部フレームにより支持される重量物の荷重が、走行車輪の第1水平回転軸に負荷されることなしに、一対の当接ローラーを介して、当接ローラーと対応する走行車輪との接点に負荷され、
それにより、下り傾斜路面上の手動用車輪付移動体において、手動用車輪付移動体が下る向きの走行車輪の回転方向に対して、逆回転方向の力が一対の当接ローラーを介して一対の走行車輪に作用する、ことを特徴とする、手動用車輪付移動体。 - 前記一対の当接ローラーそれぞれは、歯車状に形成され、対応する走行車輪には、前記一対の当接ローラーそれぞれと噛み合う第3歯車が、走行車輪と同心状で一体回転するように設けられる、請求項1に記載の手動用車輪付移動体。
- さらに、それぞれ、対応する走行車輪と同心状で一体的に回転する一対の第1スプロケットと、
それぞれ、対応する当接ローラーと同心状で一体的に回転する一対の第1歯車と、
それぞれ、対応する第1歯車と同形で噛み合う一対の第2歯車と、
それぞれ、対応する第2歯車と同心状で一体的に回転する一対の第2スプロケットと、
それぞれ、対応する第1スプロケットと対応する第2スプロケットとの間を掛け渡す一対のチェーンと、
該一対のチェーンそれぞれに、チェーンに対してテンションを付与可能なテンション付与機構とを有し、
走行車輪の径/当接ローラーの径と第1スプロケットの歯数/第2スプロケットの歯数とが同じ比率に設定されており、
それにより、手動用車輪付移動体が下り傾斜路面にある際、手動用車輪付移動体が下る向きの走行車輪の回転方向に対して、逆回転方向の力が一対のチェーンを介して一対の走行車輪に作用する、請求項1に記載の手動用車輪付移動体。 - 一対の第2歯車それぞれには、歯同士の間に噛み込み可能なラチェット爪が設けられ、噛み込みにより一方向のみの回転が許容される、請求項3に記載の手動用車輪付移動体。
- 手動用車輪付移動体は、車椅子であり、本体上部フレームには、座席が設けられ、
第1水平回転軸は、手動用車輪付移動体の前後方向の後ろ寄りに設けられ、

移動型枠の対向する側板の一方に、手動用車輪付移動体の前側に進むほど高くなるように設けた複数の段差部が上部に設けられた階段状部と、

- 前記係止部により一対の当接ローラーそれぞれと対応する走行車輪との接点位置が、調整可能である、請求項17または18に記載の手動用車輪付移動体。
- 前記本体上部フレームと前記第1水平回転軸との間にバネが設けられ、それにより、前記本体上部フレームの前記本体下部フレームに対する上下方向の相対移動が抑制される、請求項8に記載の手動用車輪付移動体。
