前輪13は上方からフロントフェンダ75で覆われている。後輪16は、上方からリアフェンダ77で覆われている。リアフェンダ77は、後輪16の前斜め上方を覆う前側フェンダ78と、後輪16の上方及び後斜め上方を覆う後側フェンダ79とからなる。
前側フェンダ78は、サブフレーム26に沿って延出する板状部材が一体に設けられ、この板状部材で連動ブレーキケーブルが支持される(詳細については、後述する)。
このように、自動二輪車10は、後輪ブレーキ操作子としてのブレーキペダル94を操作することにより、前輪ブレーキ91及び後輪ブレーキ92の両方を連動して作動させる連動ブレーキ装置(CBS:Combined Brake System)95(図2参照)を備える。以下では、連動ブレーキ装置95を、単に「CBS95」と記す。
吸気装置51は、シリンダヘッド47の後部に設けられた吸気管部47aに接続されたスロットルボディ101と、スロットルボディ101の後端部にコネクティングチューブ102を介して接続されたエアクリーナ103とを備える。
CBS95は、アーム延長部94a、イコライザー111、連動ブレーキケーブル112及び引張コイルばね113を備える。
下方延出部111bの先端部には、後輪ブレーキ92(図1参照)を構成するブレーキロッド117の一端部が揺動可能に連結され、上方延出部111cの先端部には、連動ブレーキケーブル112の一端部が連結されている。
引張コイルばね113は、一端が上方延出部111cに掛けられ、他端がサブフレーム26、ステップブラケット68等の固定部のいずれかに掛けられる。
連動ブレーキケーブル112において、ケーブル保持具126で保持された部分から前方の部分は、シートフレーム24及びメインフレーム22に沿ってシートフレーム24及びメインフレーム22の一側方(右側方)を車両前方に延びている。湾曲部112aは、シートフレーム24及びサブフレーム26の側方に位置するとともにリアフェンダ77(図1参照)の前側フェンダ78に設けられる板状部材によって複数箇所が支持されている。板状部材(前側フェンダ78)は、側方からサイドカバー65で覆われる。
リアフェンダ77(図1参照)の前側フェンダ78は、サブフレーム26の背面に取付けられるとともに後輪16に面する後壁78aと、後壁78aの一側(右側)の側縁からサブフレーム26の側面に沿って前方に延びる側壁78b(板状部材)とが一体に形成されている。前側フェンダ78は、後輪16から跳ね上げられた石や泥等から車体フレーム11などを保護する。
側壁78b(板状部材)は、エアクリーナ103の後方に位置する上部側壁78cと、上部側壁78cの下端から前方斜め下方に延びる下部延出部78dと、下部延出部78dの下方を下部延出部78dよりも前側まで前方斜め下方に延びる下端部延出部78eとを備える。

第1段部78gの下部には、湾曲部112aの後方延出部112dに当接しつつ側方に突出する下部起立部78mが形成されている。下部起立部78mは、後方延出部112dに沿って且つ後方延出部112dの下面に当接する上起立片78nと、上起立片78nの下端から一体に下方に延びる下起立片78pとから側面視V字状に形成されている。

第2段部78hの上部であって上部保持部78qの下方には、サイドカバー65(図1参照)の裏面に形成された突部を挿入して係止するための穴133aを備えるゴム製のグロメット133が取付けられている。
連動ブレーキケーブル112は、湾曲部112a(図2参照)から前方では、メインフレーム22に沿って配置される。詳しくは、連動ブレーキケーブル112は、車両前方に延びるにつれてメインフレーム22の一側方(右側方)から、メインフレーム22の上方を通って他側方(左側方)へ配置が変更される。
メインフレーム22は、プレス成型された左右一対の左フレーム半体135(図5参照)、右フレーム半体136が接合されている。左フレーム半体135は、上縁及び下縁に形成された上フランジ135a及び下フランジ135bと、上フランジ135a及び下フランジ135bのそれぞれの間に左側方に膨出するように形成された左膨出部135c(図5参照)とを一体に備える。同様に、右フレーム半体136は、上縁及び下縁に形成された上フランジ136a及び下フランジ136bと、上フランジ136a及び下フランジ136bのそれぞれの間に右側方に膨出するように形成された右膨出部136cとを一体に備える。
メインフレーム22の一側部(右フレーム半体136)には、点火プラグに接続されるイグニッションコイル137が取付けられている。
図5及び図6に示すように、連動ブレーキケーブル112が、湾曲部112a(図2参照)側から車両前方へ延びるにつれて車体フレーム11(図5においてはシートフレーム24及びメインフレーム22)の右側方から左側方に移動している。
メインフレーム22、詳しくは、左フレーム半体135には、電装品としてのバンクアングルセンサー141を支持する支持ステー143が取付けられている。
支持ステー143は、メインフレーム22に沿ってメインフレーム22の他側方(左側方)を前後方向に延びるメインハーネス145を案内するとともに、メインフレーム22の上方を通る連動ブレーキケーブル112を案内及び保持するとともに保護する機能を有する。即ち、支持ステー143は、バンクアングルセンサー141を支持する電装品支持部143aと、メインハーネス145を案内するハーネス案内部143bと、連動ブレーキケーブル112を案内・保持するとともに保護するケーブル支持部143cとを備える。
ハーネス案内部143bは、メインハーネス145の上方に配置されてメインハーネス145を前後方向に案内する。ケーブル支持部143cは、メインハーネス145の下方に配置され、把持部143fは、連動ブレーキケーブル112を前後方向に対して斜めに案内・保持する。ハーネス案内部143bと、ハーネス案内部143bの前方に配置されるケーブル支持部143cとは、前後に近接して配置される。従って、ハーネス案内部143bの前端部とケーブル支持部143cの後端部とでメインハーネス145を上下に挟む又は上下に近接させることができ、メインハーネス145の振れ(特に、上下方向の振れ)を抑制することができる。このことから、メインハーネス145と連動ブレーキケーブル112との干渉を防止することができる。また、把持部143fは、ハーネス案内部143bから離間されて連動ブレーキケーブル112及びメインハーネス145にストレス無く指向性を持たせている。
この構成によれば、バンクアングルセンサー141と支持ステー143をメインフレーム22の同じ側に配置することができ、連動ブレーキケーブル112とメインハーネス145も同じ側に配置されるので、組付工数をより一層削減することができる。
この構成によれば、ケーブル支持部143cとハーネス案内部143bとをメインハーネス145の上下に配置してメインハーネス145の振れを抑えることができる。これにより、メインハーネス145と連動ブレーキケーブル112との干渉を防止することができる。
支持ステー143は、電装品支持部143a、ハーネス案内部143b、ケーブル支持部143c及びベース部143dから一体に形成されている。
ベース部143dは、メインフレーム22、詳しくは、左フレーム半体135の側部に複数のボルト147で取付けられている。電装品支持部143aは、ベース部143dから左側方に突出するように形成された部分であり、電装品支持部143aに一対のボルト148でバンクアングルセンサー141が取付けられている。バンクアングルセンサー141は、車体の前後及び左右の傾きを検出する。電装品支持部143aは、バンクアングルセンサー141を下方から覆う遮熱壁143eが一体に形成され、遮熱壁143eによって、エンジン36から放射される熱からバンクアングルセンサー141が保護される。
ケーブル支持部143cは、ハーネス案内部143bとは前後に分離されてベース部143dから上方斜め車幅方向内方に延びている。ケーブル支持部143cは、上部に連動ブレーキケーブル112を挟んで保持する挟持部143fを一体に備える。
挟持部143fは、連動ブレーキケーブル112を内側に巻き込むためにハーネス案内部143bの上縁に形成された巻き込み部143gと、巻き込み部143gに対向するようにケーブル支持部143cの上面に設けられた複数の突起143h,143hとからなる。連動ブレーキケーブル112は、巻き込み部143gと複数の突起143h,143hとの間に挟み込まれて保持される。
このように、メインフレーム22の上方で、連動ブレーキケーブル112が支持ステー143のケーブル支持部143cで支持されるので、連動ブレーキケーブル112がメインフレーム22の上フランジ合わせ部22aに干渉するのを防止することができる。
連動ブレーキケーブル112は、メインフレーム22の上フランジ合わせ部22aの上方に位置する部分より前方では、次第に上フランジ合わせ部22aの上縁よりも下方に位置するとともに、上フランジ合わせ部22aの左側方及び左膨出部135cの左側方に位置する。左膨出部135cの上縁から上フランジ合わせ部22aの上縁までの高さは、連動ブレーキケーブル112の外径よりも大きい。従って、連動ブレーキケーブル112を、左膨出部135cよりも上方で且つ上フランジ合わせ部22aの側方に配置した場合に、連動ブレーキケーブル112を上フランジ合わせ部22aよりも上方へ突出しないように配置することができる。これにより、メインフレーム22の上方に配置する燃料タンク61(図1参照)に連動ブレーキケーブル112が干渉しないようにすることができる。
メインハーネス145は、複数のハーネス止め具153によりメインフレーム22に固定されている。
この構成によれば、支持ステー143を用いることで、上フランジ合わせ部22aを有するプレスフレーム(車体フレーム11(図1参照))への連動ブレーキケーブル112の配索にも対応することができ、汎用性を高めることができる。また、上フランジ合わせ部22aの高さが連動ブレーキケーブル112の外径よりも大きいので、連動ブレーキケーブル112を上フランジ合わせ部22aよりも外側(上側)へ突出しないように配索することができる。従って、メインフレーム22に他の部品を取付けた際に、その部品と連動ブレーキケーブル112との干渉を防止することができる。
車体フレーム11のセンターフレーム23、シートフレーム24及びサブフレーム26で囲まれる空間155にバッテリ収納ケース156の一部が配置され、バッテリ収納ケース156の他の部分は空間155の左側方の空間に配置されている。バッテリ収納ケース156内にはバッテリ151が収納されている。バッテリ151の正極端子151aにはメインハーネス145が接続され、バッテリ151の負極端子151bには、車体フレーム11に接続されるアース用導線157が接続されている。
連動ブレーキケーブル112は、支持ステー143より前方では、メインハーネス145の上方に離間して配置されるとともに、上フランジ合わせ部22a及び左膨出部135cの左側方を上フランジ合わせ部22a及び左膨出部135cに沿って前側に延びる。
前輪13には、その中央部に前輪ブレーキ91が設けられている。前輪ブレーキ91は、ブレーキドラム(不図示)、ブレーキパネル91b、ブレーキシュー(不図示)、カム(不図示)、カム軸91c、ブレーキアーム91dを備える。
ブレーキドラムは、前輪13の中央部に備えるハブ13aに一体に形成されている。ブレーキパネル91bは、ブレーキドラム91aの開口部を塞ぐように車軸32に固定され、ブレーキパネル91bに、一対のブレーキシューのそれぞれの一端部が揺動可能に支持されている。
連動ブレーキケーブル112は、メインフレーム22の前端部から下方に屈曲し、ヘッドパイプ21に沿って下方に延び、前輪ブレーキ用ケーブル161と同様に前輪ブレーキ91まで延びる。そして、連動ブレーキケーブル112の先端部がブレーキアーム91dに連結される。
メインハーネス145は、ダウンフレーム27の左側方からダウンフレーム27の下方を通って一部がヘッドライト163の後方に至り、ヘッドライト163の後部に接続される。また、メインハーネス145の他の一部は、他の灯火器や電装品に接続される。
連動ブレーキケーブル112とメインハーネス145とは、途中で交差したり接触したりすることがない。
ブレーキドラムは、後輪16の中央部に備えるハブ16aに一体に形成されている。ブレーキパネル92bは、ブレーキドラムの開口部を塞ぐように車軸35に固定され、ブレーキパネル92bに、一対のブレーキシューのそれぞれの一端部が揺動可能に支持されている。
この構成によれば、連動ブレーキケーブル112を支持ステー143のケーブル支持部143cによって上フランジ合わせ部22aから保護しながら配索することができる。また、支持ステー143は、バンクアングルセンサー141を支持する部品であるから、この支持ステー143で連動ブレーキケーブル112を支持することで、特別に連動ブレーキケーブル112を支持する部品が必要なく、コストアップを抑えることができる。
例えば、上記実施形態において、図6及び図7に示したように、ハーネス案内部143bをメインハーネス145の上方に配置し、ケーブル支持部143cをメインハーネス145の下方に配置したが、これに限らず、ハーネス案内部143bをメインハーネス145の下方に配置し、ケーブル支持部143cをメインハーネス145の上方に配置しても良い。
また、図6に示したように、ハーネス案内部143bとケーブル支持部143cとを別に設けたが、これに限らず、ハーネス案内部143bの先端部に、上フランジ合わせ部22aの上方に位置するケーブル支持部143cを一体に設けても良い。
また、本発明は、自動二輪車10に適用する場合に限らず、自動二輪車10以外も含む鞍乗り型車両にも適用可能である。なお、鞍乗り型車両とは、車体に跨って乗車する車両全般を含み、自動二輪車(原動機付き自転車も含む)のみならず、ATV(不整地走行車両)に分類される三輪車両や四輪車両を含む車両である。

Claims (6)
- 車体フレーム(11)が、ヘッドパイプ(21)から車体後方に延びるメインフレーム(22)を備え、前記メインフレーム(22)が突出部(22a)を備え、前輪(13)を制動する前輪ブレーキ(91)及び後輪(16)を制動する後輪ブレーキ(92)がドラムブレーキで構成され、前記前輪ブレーキ(91)は車体左側、前記後輪ブレーキ(92)を作動させる後輪ブレーキ操作子(94)は車体右側に配置され、前記後輪ブレーキ操作子(94)にイコライザー(111)を介して連動ブレーキケーブル(112)の一端が接続され、前記連動ブレーキケーブル(112)が、前記イコライザー(111)側から前記メインフレーム(22)に沿って延び、前記連動ブレーキケーブル(112)の他端が前記前輪ブレーキ(91)に接続されることで、前記後輪ブレーキ操作子(94)の操作により前記後輪ブレーキ(92)及び前記前輪ブレーキ(91)の両方に制動力が付与される鞍乗り型車両の連動ブレーキ支持構造において、
前記メインフレーム(22)には、ステー(143)を介して電装品(141)が支持され、前記電装品(141)を支持する前記ステー(143)は、前記メインフレーム(22)の前記突出部(22a)を覆う延出部(143c)を備え、前記連動ブレーキケーブル(112)は、この延出部(143c)に支持され、車体右側から車体左側に配索されることを特徴とする鞍乗り型車両の連動ブレーキ支持構造。 - 前記電装品(141)に電力を供給するバッテリ(151)は、車体左側に位置し、前記電装品(141)と前記バッテリ(151)とを接続するメインハーネス(145)は、前記メインフレーム(22)の左側に配索され、前記連動ブレーキケーブル(112)と前記メインハーネス(145)とは、前記メインフレーム(22)の左側で上下に離間して配索されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の鞍乗り型車両の連動ブレーキ支持構造。
- 前記電装品(141)は、前記メインフレーム(22)の左側に配置され、前記突出部(22a)は、前記メインフレーム(22)の上部に形成され、前記延出部(143c)は、前記突出部(22a)を覆うように車体左側から延びて前記突出部(22a)と重なるように配置されることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の鞍乗り型車両の連動ブレーキ支持構造。
- 前記ステー(143)は、前記メインハーネス(145)を案内するガイド部(143b)を備えることを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載の鞍乗り型車両の連動ブレーキ支持構造。
- 前記メインフレーム(22)は、左右一対のプレス材(135,136)が合わせられて形成され、前記突出部は、前記左右一対のプレス材(135,136)の合わせ部(22a)であって前記メインフレーム(22)の全長に亘って設けられ、前記突出部(22a)の高さは、前記連動ブレーキケーブル(112)の外径よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の鞍乗り型車両の連動ブレーキ支持構造。
- 前記延出部(143c)と前記ガイド部(143b)とは前後に近接配置され、前記延出部(143c)及び前記ガイド部(143b)の一方が、前記メインハーネス(145)の上方に配置され、他方が、前記メインハーネス(145)の下方に配置されることを特徴とする請求項4又は5に記載の鞍乗り型車両の連動ブレーキ支持構造。
