Abstract
Description
このようなコンベヤベルトの製造工程において、スチールコードの位置に関係する寸法を計測する必要がある。
このような寸法として、例えば、スチールコードの間隔であるコードピッチ、コンベヤベルトの幅方向両端に位置するスチールコードの間隔である両端コード間距離、コンベヤベルトの幅方向の端面から該端面に隣接するスチールコードの外周面までの距離である耳ゴム幅などが挙げられる。
従来、これらの寸法は、コンベヤベルトの製造が完了したのち、コンベヤベルトの長手方向の両端に位置する断面において、ノギスや定規を用いて手作業によって測定している。
そのため、コンベヤベルトの製造中、コンベヤベルトの長手方向の中間部分での寸法の測定は不可能であり、コンベヤベルトの寸法の測定に関して改善が求められている。
また、特許文献2には、コンベヤベルトにX線を照射し、透過したX線をスチールコードの延在方向と直交する方向に延在するラインセンサで検出してX線透過画像を作成し、X線透過画像の輝度に基いてゴム層の肉厚を求める装置が提案されている。
また、後者の装置では、ゴム層の肉厚を計測することに留まり、スチールコードの位置に関係する寸法としてのコードピッチ、両端コード間距離、耳ゴム幅などを測定するものではない。
本発明は上記事情に鑑みなされたものであって、本発明の目的は、スチールコードの位置に関係する寸法を精度よく検査する上で有利なコンベヤベルトの検査装置を提供することにある。
請求項2記載の発明は、前記2次元画像情報生成部による前記2次元画像情報の生成は、前記X線発生装置および前記X線ラインセンサが前記X線ラインセンサの画素ピッチと等しい単位量移動する毎に取り込んだ前記X線透過信号に基いてなされることを特徴とする。
請求項3記載の発明は、前記計測情報は、前記スチールコードの間隔であるコードピッチ、前記コンベヤベルトの幅方向両端に位置する前記スチールコードの間隔である両端コード間距離、前記コンベヤベルトの幅方向の端面から該端面に隣接する前記スチールコードの外周面までの距離である耳ゴム幅、前記コンベヤベルトの幅方向両端の端面間の距離であるベルト幅のすくなくとも1つを含むことを特徴とする。
請求項4記載の発明は、前記X線発生装置は、前記X線を発生するX線源と、前記X線源を収容し前記X線源から発生されたX線を遮蔽するケースとを備え、前記ケースに、前記X線源から発生した前記X線を、前記コンベヤベルトに対して前記スチールコードの延在方向に沿って帯状に照射するスリットが設けられていることを特徴とする。
請求項5記載の発明は、前記スリットの長さは、前記スリットから前記コンベヤベルトに照射されるX線の帯状の照射領域の長さが、前記X線ラインセンサの画素の延在方向の長さ以下の寸法となるように形成されていることを特徴とする。
したがって、コンベヤベルトの長手方向のどのような部分においても、コンベヤベルトおよびスチールコードに関する計測情報を精度よく得る上で有利となり、コンベヤベルトの品質保証をきめ細かく行なう上で有利となる。
請求項2記載の発明によれば、X線ラインセンサの画素ピッチに相当する分解能で2次元画像情報を得ることができ、精度よく検査する上でより有利となる。
請求項3記載の発明によれば、コンベヤベルトの品質保証をきめ細かく行なう上でより有利となる。
請求項4記載の発明によれば、X線源から発生されたX線がケースで遮蔽されるため、作業者が検査装置の近傍にいても作業者の被曝量を抑制できることから、作業者の作業時間を長く確保でき、ひいては、作業効率を高める上で有利となる。
請求項5記載の発明によれば、スリットから照射されるX線の照射量を最低限とすることができ、作業者の被曝量を抑制し、作業効率を高める上でより有利となる。
まず、本実施の形態に係るコンベヤベルトの検査装置によって検査されるコンベヤベルトについて説明する。
図6はコンベヤベルトを長手方向と直交する平面で破断した断面図である。
コンベヤベルト10は、被搬送物、例えば、鉄鉱石などの鉱物、土砂、粉体などを運搬するベルトコンベヤ装置に用いられるものである。
コンベヤベルト10は、補強層12と、一対のゴム層14A、14Bとを含んで構成されている。
補強層12は、コンベヤベルト10の張力を保持するためのものであり、コンベヤベルト10の長手方向に延在し、かつ、コンベヤベルト10の幅方向に互いに間隔をおいて平行に並べられた複数のスチールコード16を含んで構成されている。
一対のゴム層14A、14Bは、補強層12の厚さ方向の両面をそれぞれ覆うものであり、例えば、被搬送物が載置される搬送面を形成する上部ゴム層14Aと、搬送面の反対面の面を形成する下部ゴム層14Bとで構成されている。
(1)コードピッチP:隣り合うスチールコード16の中心間の間隔。
(2)両端コード間距離B1:コンベヤベルト10の幅方向両端に位置するスチールコード16の中心間の間隔。
(3)耳ゴム幅B2:コンベヤベルト10の幅方向の両側の側面1002からそれら側面1002に隣接するスチールコード16の外周面までの距離。
(4)ベルト幅B0:コンベヤベルト10の幅方向の両側の側面1002間の距離。
上記寸法のうち、コードピッチP、両端コード間距離B1、耳ゴム幅B2はスチールコード16の位置に関係する寸法であり、それらコードピッチP、両端コード間距離B1、耳ゴム幅B2について従来はコンベヤベルト10の長手方向の両端の端面でノギスや定規を用いて測定しているものである。
図1、図2に示すように、検査装置20は、搬送装置22と、X線発生装置24と、X線ラインセンサ26と、第1移動機構28と、第2移動機構30と、制御装置32とを含んで構成されている。
搬送装置22は、例えば、コンベヤベルト10が載置される複数の搬送ローラ2202と、それら搬送ローラ2202を駆動する不図示の駆動機構などを含んで構成されている。
X線発生装置24は、円錐状のX線34(放射線ビーム)を発生するX線源2402と、X線源2402から発生されたX線34の放射角を制限するコリメータ2404と、X線34を遮蔽するケース36とを含んで構成されている。
本実施の形態では、ケース36は、本体ケース38と、本体ケース38の下部に取着された遮蔽筒40とを備えている。
図2に示すように、本体ケース38は、X線源2402およびコリメータ2404を収容するものであり、長方形状の上板3802と、上板3802の四辺から垂設された4つの側板3804と、4つの側壁3804の下端を接続する下板3806とを備え、下板3806には長方形状の開口3808が設けられている。
図2、図3に示すように、遮蔽筒40は、長方形状の底板4002と、底板4002の四辺から立設された4つの側板4004とを備え、4つの側板4004の上端は長方形状の開口4006となっている。
遮蔽筒40は、遮蔽筒40の開口4006と、本体ケース38の開口3808とがそれらの長手方向と中心軸とを一致させ、それら開口4006、3808が連通するように、遮蔽筒40の側板4004の上端が本体ケース38の下板3806に取着されている。
遮蔽筒40の底板4002には、X線源2402から照射されたX線34を、コンベヤベルト10に対してスチールコード16の延在方向に沿って帯状に照射するスリット4010が設けられている。
スリット4010の幅Wは、簡単に機械加工できる1mm以上3mm以下の寸法であり、スリット4010の長さLは、スリット4010からコンベヤベルト10の上面(表面)に照射されるX線34の帯状の照射領域の長さが、X線ラインセンサ26の画素の延在方向の長さ以下の寸法となるように形成され、スリット4010から照射されるX線34の照射量を最低限とし、作業者の被曝量をできるだけ少なくするように図られている。
本実施の形態では、第1移動機構28は、第1レール2802と、第1テーブル2804と、第1送りねじ2806と、第1モータ2808とを含んで構成されている。
第1レール2802は、平面1602と平行し、平面1602と直交する方向から見て、スチールコード16の延在方向と直交する方向に延在し不図示のフレームに取着されている。
第1テーブル2804は、X線発生装置24の本体ケース38の上板3802が取着され、第1レール2802に沿ってスライド移動可能に設けられている。
第1送りねじ2806は、第1テーブル2804の雌ねじに螺合している。
第1モータ2808は、第1送りねじ2806を正逆回転させる。
したがって、第1モータ2808が正逆回転することにより、第1送りねじ2806を介して第1テーブル2804が第1レール2802に沿って移動することにより、X線発生装置24は、複数のスチールコード16を含む平面1602と平行にかつスチールコード16の延在方向と直交する方向に沿って移動する。
X線ラインセンサ26は、X線34を受光する多数の受光素子の画素が直線状に並べられて構成されており、したがって、多数の受光素子の画素はスチールコード16の延在方向に沿って並ぶことになる。
X線ラインセンサ26の画素ピッチは例えば0.2mmであり、X線ラインセンサ26の長手方向の両端に位置する受光素子の画素間の寸法は例えば512mmである。
本実施の形態では、第2移動機構30は、第2レール3002と、第2テーブル3004と、第2送りねじ3006と、第2モータ3008とを含んで構成されている。
第2レール3002は、平面1602と平行し、平面1602と直交する方向から見て、スチールコード16の延在方向と直交する方向に延在し不図示のフレームに取着されている。
第2テーブル3004は、第2レール3002に沿ってスライド移動可能に設けられ、X線ラインセンサ26に取着されている。
第2送りねじ3006は、第2テーブル3004の雌ねじに螺合している。
第2モータ3008は、第2送りねじ3006を正逆回転させる。
したがって、第2モータ3008が正逆回転することにより、第2送りねじ3006を介して第2テーブル3004が第2レール3002に沿って移動することにより、X線ラインセンサ26は、複数のスチールコード16を含む平面1602と平行にかつスチールコード16の延在方向と直交する方向に沿って移動する。
制御装置32には、搬送装置22、X線発生装置24、X線ラインセンサ26、第1モータ2808、第2モータ3008に加え、画像を表示する表示部42が接続されている。
制御装置32は、上記CPUが上記制御プログラムを実行することにより、X線制御部32A、搬送制御部32B、移動制御部32C、2次元画像情報生成部32D、計測情報検出部32Eとして機能する。
搬送制御部32Bは、搬送装置22を制御することによりコンベヤベルト10をその長手方向に沿って搬送させるものである。
また、X線発生装置24およびX線ラインセンサ26の相対的な位置が固定されるため、図1に示すように、複数のスチールコード16の延在方向から見て、X線発生装置24から照射されたX線34は、複数のスチールコード16を含む平面1602に対して直交する方向でコンベヤベルト10を透過してX線ラインセンサ26で検出されることになる。
したがって、本実施の形態では、移動制御部32C、第1移動機構28、第2移動機構30によって特許請求の範囲の移動部が構成されている。
2次元画像情報生成部32Dは、X線発生装置24およびX線ラインセンサ26がX線ラインセンサ26の画素ピッチと等しい単位量移動する毎に取り込んだX線透過信号に基いて2次元画像情報を生成する。2次元画像情報の生成にあたっては、X線透過信号を2値化するなど従来公知の様々な画像処理が用いられる。
この際、2次元画像情報生成部32Dは、移動制御部32Cから第1モータ2808および第2モータ3008に供給される同期した制御信号に基いてX線発生装置24およびX線ラインセンサ26の移動量を認識する。
すなわち、X線発生装置24から照射されコンベヤベルト10を透過したX線34がX線ラインセンサ26で検出されると、X線34の強度分布に対応した輝度のX線透過信号がX線ラインセンサ26で生成される。
したがって、スチールコード16の部分でX線透過信号の輝度が最も低く、スチールコード16以外のゴム層14A、14Bの部分でスチールコード16の部分よりもX線透過信号の輝度が高く、コンベヤベルト10が無い部分でX線透過信号の輝度が最も高くなる。
また、前述したように、複数のスチールコード16の延在方向から見て、X線発生装置24から照射されたX線34が複数のスチールコード16を含む平面1602に対して直交する方向でコンベヤベルト10を透過し、透過したX線34がスチールコード16の延在方向に沿って延在するX線ラインセンサ26で検出される。したがって、2次元画像情報として生成されるコンベヤベルト10とスチールコード16の画像の歪みが最小限となり、2次元画像情報におけるコンベヤベルト10とスチールコード16の画像は高い精度で得られる。
具体的には、計測情報は、図6に示したように、コードピッチP、両端コード間距離B1、耳ゴム幅B2、ベルト幅B0を含むものである。
また、制御装置32は、2次元画像情報生成部32Dで生成された2次元画像情報、および、計測情報検出部32Eで検出された計測情報を表示部42に表示出力する。
また、制御装置32は、2次元画像情報、および、計測情報を、不図示のプリンタ装置により印刷出力してもよく、あるいは、2次元画像情報、および、計測情報を不図示の記録媒体に記録してもよい。
まず、搬送装置22の上に検査対象となるコンベヤベルト10が載置される(ステップS10)。
次に、制御装置32を動作させることにより、X線発生装置24によりX線34をコンベヤベルト10に向けて照射させる(ステップS12:X線制御部32A)。
この際、X線源2402から放射されたX線34は、コリメータ2404、スリット4010を通過することにより、図1、図2に示すように、スチールコード16の延在方向に沿って扇状に放射され、コンベヤベルト10を透過してX線ラインセンサ26に至る。
この状態で制御装置32は、第1移動機構28、第2移動機構30を制御することにより、X線発生装置24およびX線ラインセンサ26を、それらの相対的な位置が固定された状態で平面1602と平行にかつスチールコード16の延在方向と直交する方向に沿って一定速度で一定範囲移動させる(ステップS14:移動部)。
したがって、扇状に放射されたX線34は、コンベヤベルト10の幅方向の全長にわたってスチールコード16の延在方向と直交する方向に一定速度で一定範囲分移動される。
次いで、制御装置32は、得られた2次元画像情報に基いてコンベヤベルト10およびスチールコード16に関する計測情報を検出する(ステップS18:計測情報検出部32E)。
次に、制御装置32は、コンベヤベルト10の全長にわたって検査が終了したか否かを判定する(ステップS20)。
検査が終了していなければ、制御装置32は、搬送装置22を制御し、コンベヤベルト10のうち2次元画像情報が生成された領域に隣接する未だ2次元画像情報が生成されていない領域にX線34を照射できるように、コンベヤベルト10を搬送させる(ステップS22:搬送制御部32B)。
そして、ステップS12に戻り同様の処理を繰り返す。
ステップS20が肯定ならば、制御装置32は、検査を終了し、検査結果である2次元画像情報、計測情報を表示部42に表示出力し、あるいは、印刷出力し、記録媒体に記録するなどの処理を行なう。
したがって、コンベヤベルト10の長手方向のどのような部分においても、コンベヤベルト10およびスチールコード16に関する計測情報を精度よく得る上で有利となり、コンベヤベルト10の品質保証をきめ細かく行なう上で有利となる。
また、従来のようにコンベヤベルト10の製造が完了した段階での検査に限定されることがなく、製造工程においてインライン検査を行なうことができる。そのため、コンベヤベルト10の製造中に不良を検出した場合に直ちに製造工程を停止して不良対策を行なうことができるため、コンベヤベルト10の製造コストの抑制を図る上で有利となる。
したがって、X線源2402から発生されたX線34がケース36で遮蔽されるため、作業者が検査装置20の近傍にいても作業者の被曝量を抑制できることから、作業者の作業時間を長く確保でき、ひいては、作業効率を高める上で有利となる。
しかしながら、本実施の形態とは逆に、X線発生装置24と第1移動機構28とをコンベヤベルト10の下方に配置し、X線ラインセンサ26と第2移動機構30とをコンベヤベルト10の上方に配置してもよいことは無論である。
しかしながら、第1移動機構28、第2移動機構30の構成は任意であり、リニアモーアを用いた直動式の電動アクチュエータを用いたり、あるいは、1軸ロボットを用いるなど従来公知の様々な移動機構が使用可能であることは無論である。
しかしながら、搬送装置22を用いる代わりに、X線発生装置24とX線ラインセンサ26との相対的な位置を固定した状態でそれらX線発生装置24とX線ラインセンサ26とを、コンベヤベルト10の長手方向に沿って搬送する移動機構を設けてもよい。

Claims (5)
- 互いに間隔をおいて並べられた複数のスチールコードを有する補強層と、前記補強層を覆うゴム層とを備えるコンベヤベルトの検査装置であって、
前記複数のスチールコードを含む平面に対して直交する方向の前記コンベヤベルトの一方に配置され、前記平面に向けてX線を照射するX線発生装置と、
前記平面に対して直交する方向の前記コンベヤベルトの他方に配置され、前記スチールコードの延在方向に沿って延在し、前記コンベヤベルトを透過したX線を検出してX線透過信号を生成するX線ラインセンサと、
前記X線発生装置および前記X線ラインセンサを、それらの相対的な位置が固定された状態で前記平面と平行にかつ前記スチールコードの延在方向と直交する方向に沿って移動させる移動部と、
前記X線ラインセンサで生成された前記X線透過信号を取り込んで2次元画像情報を生成する2次元画像情報生成部と、
前記2次元画像情報に基いて前記コンベヤベルトおよび前記スチールコードに関する計測情報を検出する計測情報検出部と、
を備えることを特徴とするコンベヤベルトの検査装置。 - 前記2次元画像情報生成部による前記2次元画像情報の生成は、前記X線発生装置および前記X線ラインセンサが前記X線ラインセンサの画素ピッチと等しい単位量移動する毎に取り込んだ前記X線透過信号に基いてなされる、
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載のコンベヤベルトの検査装置。 - 前記計測情報は、前記スチールコードの間隔であるコードピッチ、前記コンベヤベルトの幅方向両端に位置する前記スチールコードの間隔である両端コード間距離、前記コンベヤベルトの幅方向の端面から該端面に隣接する前記スチールコードの外周面までの距離である耳ゴム幅、前記コンベヤベルトの幅方向両端の端面間の距離であるベルト幅のすくなくとも1つを含む、
ことを特徴とする請求項1または2記載のコンベヤベルトの検査装置。 - 前記X線発生装置は、前記X線を発生するX線源と、前記X線源を収容し前記X線源から発生されたX線を遮蔽するケースとを備え、
前記ケースに、前記X線源から発生した前記X線を、前記コンベヤベルトに対して前記スチールコードの延在方向に沿って帯状に照射するスリットが設けられている、
ことを特徴とする請求項1から3の何れか1項記載のコンベヤベルトの検査装置。 - 前記スリットの長さは、前記スリットから前記コンベヤベルトに照射されるX線の帯状の照射領域の長さが、前記X線ラインセンサの画素の延在方向の長さ以下の寸法となるように形成されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項4記載のコンベヤベルトの検査装置。
