Description

弾性クローラ
 本発明の一態様は、弾性クローラに関する。
 特開2008-166862号公報には、クローラ本体の内部にコードを配設したゴムクローラが開示されている。
 ところで、弾性クローラは、スプロケットやアイドラーへの巻掛かりや、転輪からの押圧によって、クローラ内部に歪みが生じる。この結果、弾性クローラに埋設されたコード層同士が剥離する可能性がある。
 本発明の一態様は、上記事実を考慮して、弾性クローラに埋設されたコード層同士の剥離を抑制することを目的とする。
 本発明の第1態様の弾性クローラは、弾性体により無端状に形成された弾性クローラ本体と、複数本のコードが間隔をあけて並べられると共に弾性体で被覆して形成され、前記弾性クローラ本体に埋設された複数のコード層と、を備え、互いに隣接する前記コード層にそれぞれ含まれる前記コード同士は、前記弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、交差して配置されると共に、前記弾性クローラ本体の少なくとも一部の領域において、少なくとも1組の隣接する前記コード層は、前記隣接する前記コード層の各層に含まれる前記コード同士が前記厚み方向からみて重なり合う部分の合計面積が、前記隣接する前記コード層の各層の前記コードが配置されていない領域同士が前記厚み方向からみて重なり合う部分の合計面積よりも小さい。
 弾性クローラの各コード層において、コードが配置されていない領域には弾性体が充填されている。このとき、隣接する2層のコード層において、弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、各層のコードが配置されていない領域同士が重なり合う部分には、隣接する2層のコード層に亘って連続して弾性体が充填される。
 つまり、各層のコードが配置されていない領域同士が重なり合う部分において、隣接する2層を貫く弾性体によって、隣接する2層のコード層が連結される。
 一方、隣接する2層のコード層において、弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、各層に含まれるコード同士が重なり合う部分は、コードによって弾性体が分断され、隣接するコードによって弾性体が挟まれるので、2層のコード層を貫いて連結することはできない。
 すなわち、本発明の第1態様の弾性クローラは、弾性クローラ本体の少なくとも一部の領域において、弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、少なくとも1組の互いに隣接する2層のコード層において、弾性体によって貫いて連結される部分(即ち、各層のコードが配置されていない領域同士が重なり合う部分)の合計面積が、該2層のコード同士が重なり合う部分の合計面積よりも大きい。
 したがって、弾性クローラ本体の少なくとも一部の領域において、弾性クローラに埋設された少なくとも1組の互いに隣接するコード層同士の剥離を効果的に抑制することができる。
 本発明の第2態様の弾性クローラは、弾性体により無端状に形成された弾性クローラ本体と、複数本のコードが間隔をあけて並べられると共に弾性体で被覆して形成され、前記弾性クローラ本体に埋設された複数のコード層と、を備え、互いに隣接する前記コード層にそれぞれ含まれる前記コード同士は、前記弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、交差して配置されると共に、前記弾性クローラ本体の少なくとも一部の領域において、少なくとも1組の隣接する前記コード層の各層に含まれる前記コード同士が、下記式(1)を満たす。
 K×Ka+1<(1-K)×(1-Ka+1)・・・式(1)
[式(1)において、「K」は、前記弾性クローラ本体の内周面側からa番目の層に含まれる複数本のコードから選ばれる一のコードの直径(φ)と前記一のコードのピッチ(φ+D(Dはa層中で前記一のコードに隣接する他のコードと前記一のコードとのコード間距離を表す))との比(φ/(φ+D))を表す。「1-K」は前記コード間距離(D)と前記一のコードのピッチ(φ+D)との比(D/(φ+D))を表す。「Ka+1」は、前記弾性クローラ本体の内周面側から(a+1)番目の層に含まれる複数本のコードから選ばれる一のコードの直径(φa+1)と前記一のコードのピッチ(φa+1+Da+1(Da+1は(a+1)層中で前記一のコードに隣接する他のコードと前記一のコードとのコード間距離を表す))との比(φa+1/(φa+1+Da+1))を表す。「1-Ka+1」は前記コード間距離(Da+1)と前記一のコードのピッチ(φa+1+Da+1)との比(Da+1/(φa+1+Da+1))を表す。但し、aは、1≦a≦X-1(X≧2、Xはコード層の数を表す)である。]
 なお、a層又は(a+1)層に含まれる複数本のコードから選ばれる一のコードとは、a層又は(a+1)層に含まれる複数本のコードのうち、任意で選ばれる一本のコードのことを意味する。
 a層と(a+1)層とは、弾性クローラ本体の内周面側から数えてa番目及び(a+1)番目のコード層のことであり、a層と(a+1)層は、互いに隣接する層である。
 本発明の第2態様では、弾性クローラ本体に複数のコード層が埋設され、互いに隣接するコード層にそれぞれ含まれるコード同士は、弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、交差して配置されている。
 そして、弾性クローラ本体の少なくとも一部の領域において、少なくとも1組の互いに隣接するコード層、すなわち、a層と(a+1)層の間で、K×Ka+1<(1-K)×(1-Ka+1)で表される関係が成り立っている。
 すなわち、弾性クローラ本体の少なくとも一部の領域において、弾性クローラ本体に3層以上埋設された複数のコード層のうち、1組の互いに隣接するコード層の間で、K×Ka+1<(1-K)×(1-Ka+1)が満たされていると、当該隣接する層間において、弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて任意のコード同士が重なり合う部分の面積が全て、これら任意のコードに隣接しコードが配置されていない領域同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも小さいということを示す。
 すなわち、弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、弾性クローラ本体の少なくとも一部の領域における全てのコードについて、隣接する層間においてコード同士が重なり合う部分の面積が、これらのコードに隣接しコードが配置されていない領域同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも小さいということを示す。
 上述のように、隣接する2層のコードが配置されていない領域同士が重なり合う部分には、該2層のコード層に亘って連続して弾性体が充填される。つまり、隣接する2層のコードが配置されていない領域同士が重なり合う部分において、該2層を貫く弾性体によって、隣接する2層のコード層が連結される。一方、隣接する2層のコード層において、コード同士が重なりあう部分は、コードによって弾性体が分断されるので、2層のコード層を貫いて連結することはできない。
 本発明の第2態様の弾性クローラは、前記式(1)の関係が、弾性クローラ本体に3層以上埋設された複数のコード層のうち少なくとも1組の互いに隣接するコード層における少なくとも一部の領域内において成り立つ。このため、弾性クローラ本体の少なくとも一部の領域において、弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、少なくとも1組の互いに隣接するコード層が弾性体によって貫いて連結される部分の合計面積が、該2層のコード同士が重なり合う部分の合計面積よりも大きくなる。
 したがって、弾性クローラ本体の少なくとも一部の領域において、弾性クローラに埋設された少なくとも1組の互いに隣接するコード層同士の剥離を抑制することができる。
 本発明の第3態様の弾性クローラは、第2態様の弾性クローラにおいて、複数の前記コード層は、メインコード層と、前記メインコード層と隣接する交差コード層と、を備え、前記メインコード層は、前記弾性クローラ本体のクローラ周方向に巻回され、前記弾性体に被覆されたメインコードを有し、前記交差コード層は、前記弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて前記メインコードと交差すると共に前記弾性体に被覆された交差コードを有し、前記メインコード層に含まれる前記メインコードと、前記交差コード層に含まれる前記交差コードとが、前記式(1)を満たす。
 本発明の第3態様では、弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、メインコード層と、メインコード層と隣接する交差コード層とを貫く弾性体によって連結される部分の面積が、該2層のコード同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも大きい。したがって、弾性クローラに埋設されたメインコード層と、メインコード層と隣接する交差コード層同士の剥離を抑制することができる。
 本発明の第4態様の弾性クローラは、第3態様の弾性クローラにおいて、前記交差コードのピッチが、前記交差コードの直径の2倍よりも大きい。
 本発明の第4態様では、交差コードのピッチを大きく形成することで、式(1)を満たしながら、メインコードのピッチを小さくすることができる。
 このことにより、弾性クローラ本体のクローラ周方向に働く張力に対する強度を損なうことなく、メインコード層と、メインコード層と隣接する交差コード層との層間剥離を抑制することができる。
 本発明の第5態様の弾性クローラは、第2態様の弾性クローラにおいて、全ての互いに隣接する前記コード層にそれぞれ含まれる前記コード同士が、前記式(1)を満たす。
 本発明の第5態様では、弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、全ての互いに隣接する2層のコード層が弾性体によって貫いて連結される部分の面積が、該2層のコード同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも大きい。
 したがって、弾性クローラに埋設された全ての互いに隣接するコード層の間において、コード層同士の剥離を抑制することができる。
 本発明の第6態様の弾性クローラは、第2態様~第5態様の何れか1態様の弾性クローラにおいて、前記弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、全ての前記コード層が前記弾性体によって貫いて連結される部分を有する。
 本発明の第6態様では、弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、全てのコード層が弾性体によって貫いて連結される部分を有する。したがって、弾性クローラに埋設されたコード層の間において、コード層同士の剥離を抑制する効果を高めることができる。
 本発明の第7態様の弾性クローラは、第2態様~第6態様の何れか1態様の弾性クローラにおいて、前記弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、前記式(1)を満たす前記コード同士が、次の式(2)を満たす。
 K×Ka+1<(1-K)×(1-K)×・・・×(1-K)・・・式(2)
 本発明の第7態様では、弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、全てのコード層が弾性体によって貫いて連結される部分の面積が、任意の隣接する2層のコード同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも大きい。
 したがって、弾性クローラに埋設されたコード層の間において、コード層同士の剥離を抑制する効果を高めることができる。
 本発明の第8態様の弾性クローラは、第2態様~第7態様の何れか1態様において、前記弾性クローラ本体の内周面には、クローラ周方向に間隔をあけて突起が設けられ、前記一部の領域が、前記突起のクローラ幅方向外側の領域である。
 本発明の第8態様では、弾性クローラ本体の内周面に、クローラ周方向に間隔をあけて突起が設けられ、突起のクローラ幅方向外側において、弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて任意の隣接する2層のコード層が弾性体によって連結される部分の面積が、該2層のコード同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも大きい。
 したがって、スプロケットやアイドラーが巻き掛かり、また転輪から押圧されて歪みが生じやすい弾性クローラ本体の突起の幅方向外側において、弾性クローラに埋設されたコード層同士の剥離を、抑制することができる。
 本発明の一態様に係る弾性クローラによれば、弾性クローラに埋設されたコード層同士の剥離を抑制することができる。

[第1実施形態]
 以下、図面を参照しながら、本発明の第一実施形態に係る弾性クローラの一例としてのゴムクローラ80について説明する。
 本実施形態におけるゴムクローラ80は、図1に示すように、スプロケット91、アイドラー92、複数の転輪90等を囲むようにスプロケット91とアイドラー92に巻き掛けられて用いられる無限軌道である。
 図2は、第1実施形態のゴムクローラ80のクローラ周方向の軸線に垂直な軸線に沿った横断面図である。なお、クローラ周方向とは、ゴムクローラ80の回転方向に沿った方向であり、長手方向とも言い換えられる。また、クローラ幅方向とは、ゴムクローラ80の回転方向に直交する方向であり、クローラ厚み方向とは、ゴムクローラ80を内周面側あるいは外周面側からみた方向である。
 また、図2において、クローラ幅方向を矢印Wで、クローラ厚み方向を矢印Dで示し、図3において、クローラ幅方向を矢印Wで、クローラ周方向を矢印Lで示している。
 ゴムクローラ80は、弾性体の一例としてのゴムにより無端状に形成されたゴムクローラ本体82、突起50、ラグ60を含んで構成されている。なお、ゴムクローラ本体82は、本実施形態における弾性クローラ本体の一例である。
 ゴムクローラ本体82の内部には、内周面側(図2における上方側)から順に、0度コード層10、メインコード層20、バイアスコード層30、バイアスコード層40が積層されている。
 突起50は、ゴムクローラ本体82の内周面の中央部に、ゴムクローラ80の周方向に一定のピッチ(間隔)をもって突設されている。
 突起50はスプロケット91と噛み合って駆動力をゴムクローラ80に伝達するものである。また、ゴムクローラ本体82のうち、突起50のクローラ幅方向の外側、言い換えると左右の内周面71、72が、2点鎖線で示した転輪90の走行面となる。
 ラグ60は、ゴムクローラ本体82の外周面に、ゴムクローラ80の周方向に一定のピッチをもって突設されている。
 図2及び図3に示すように、0度コード層10は無端帯状とされ、後述するメインコード21の方向に対して直角を向いて埋設された0度コード11が、ゴムクローラ本体82のクローラ周方向に等間隔に埋設されている。
 0度コード11は、ゴムクローラ80の幅方向の剛性を高くするための補強用スチールコードであり、複数本のストランドを撚り合わせて構成されている。なお、本実施形態では、一例として、上記ストランドを複数本のフィラメントを撚り合せて形成している。また、本実施形態においては、ゴムクローラ80のクローラ幅方向に沿ってゴムクローラ本体82に埋設されている。このため、ゴムクローラ本体82が、クローラ幅方向に変形し難くなっている。なお、0度コード層11は、本実施形態における交差コード層の一例である。
 0度コード層10の外周面側には、メインコード層20が配置されている。メインコード層20は無端帯状とされ、メインコード21が、ゴムクローラ本体82のクローラ幅方向に亘って等間隔に埋設されて構成されている。
 メインコード21は、ゴムクローラ80のクローラ周方向に螺旋状に巻回されてゴムクローラ本体82に埋設されている。これによりメインコード21は、ゴムクローラ80のクローラ周方向の全周に亘って、クローラ幅方向の間隔が等しくされている。
 なお、メインコード21は、ゴムクローラ80のクローラ周方向の引張り強度を増強するために埋設されるスチールコードであり、複数本のストランドを撚り合わせて構成されている。なお、本実施形態では、一例として、上記ストランドを複数本のフィラメントを撚り合せて形成している。このため、ゴムクローラ本体82の、クローラ周方向に対する引張り強度が高められている。
 メインコード層20の外周面側には、バイアスコード層30が配置されている。バイアスコード層30は無端帯状とされ、バイアスコード31が、ゴムクローラ本体82のクローラ幅方向に亘って等間隔に埋設されて構成されている。また、クローラ周方向に等間隔に埋設されて構成されている。
 バイアスコード31は、クローラ周方向に対して斜めに延びると共に複数本並列して配置され、ゴムクローラ80の内周面からみて、メインコード21、及び後述するバイアスコード41と交差している。バイアスコード31と、バイアスコード41とは、クローラ周方向に対して互いに逆方向に傾斜している。なお、ゴムクローラ80の内周面からみて、とは、ゴムクローラ本体82を厚み方向からみる一態様である。
 なお、バイアスコード31は、メインコード21のねじれを防止するための補強用スチールコードであり、複数本のストランドを撚り合わせて構成されている。なお、本実施形態では、一例として、上記ストランドを複数本のフィラメントを撚り合せて形成し、メインコード21よりも小径とされたスチールコードを用いている。このため、ゴムクローラ本体82の直進性が高められている。なお、バイアスコード層31は、本実施形態における交差コード層の一例である。
 バイアスコード層30の外周面側には、バイアスコード層40が配置されている。バイアスコード層40は無端帯状とされ、バイアスコード41が、ゴムクローラ本体82のクローラ幅方向に亘って等間隔に埋設されて構成されている。また、クローラ周方向に等間隔に埋設されて構成されている。
 バイアスコード41は、クローラ周方向に対して斜めに延びると共に複数本並列して配置され、ゴムクローラ80の内周面からみて、バイアスコード31と交差して配置されている。バイアスコード41と、バイアスコード31とは、クローラ周方向に対して互いに逆方向に傾斜している。
 なお、バイアスコード41は、メインコード21のねじれを防止するための補強用スチールコードであり、複数本のストランドを撚り合わせて構成されている。なお、本実施形態では、一例として、上記ストランドを複数本のフィラメントを撚り合せて形成し、メインコード21よりも小径とされたスチールコードを用いている。このため、ゴムクローラ本体82の直進性が高められている。
 次に、各層の関係について、図4を説明しながら説明する。なお、以下の説明において、0度コード層10、メインコード層20、バイアスコード層30、バイアスコード層40をそれぞれ、第1層10、第2層20、第3層30、第4層40と表現することがある。
 本実施形態におけるゴムクローラ80においては、各層に含まれるコード同士が全て、下記式(1-1)を満たす。
 K×Ka+1<(1-K)×(1-Ka+1)・・・式(1-1)
 式(1-1)において、「K」は、図4に示すように、ゴムクローラ80の内周面側からa番目の層に含まれる複数本のコードから選ばれる一のコードの直径(φ)と、該一のコードのピッチ(φ+D)(以下、単にピッチと称する。)との比を表す。なお、図4では、ピッチを(P)と示している。

 図5は、第a層と、第(a+1)層の、それぞれ1ピッチずつを取り出した単位構成図である。ゴムクローラ80の第a層と、第(a+1)層は、この単位構成がクローラ周方向、及び幅方向に連続して構成されている。
 図5において、ゴムクローラ80をクローラ厚み方向の一方側、本実施形態においては、ゴムクローラ80の内周面側からみたときに、第a層に埋設されたコードと、第(a+1)層に埋設されたコードがなす角度をθとする。
 このとき、ゴムクローラ80の内周面からみたときに、第a層に埋設されたコードと、第(a+1)層に埋設されたコード同士が重なり合う部分の面積をS、コードが配置されていない領域同士が重なり合う部分の面積をTとすると、S、Tはそれぞれ、

 なお、本実施形態における直径φ、ピッチP、コード間距離Dは、ゴムクローラ80をクローラ厚み方向からレントゲン撮影することにより測定される。
 第1実施形態においては、各層に含まれるコード同士が全て、式(1)を満たすため、式(1-2)を満たすことになる。式(1-2)に、式(E)、(F)をそれぞれ代入して、式(1-2)を面積S、Tの関係に置き換えると、式(1-2)は次のように書き換えられる。

 すなわち、各層に含まれるコード同士が全て、

 言い換えると、ゴムクローラ80を内周面からみて、クローラ周方向の全ての領域で、クローラ幅方向に亘って、0度コード11、メインコード21が重なる部分の面積は、0度コード11、メインコード21が配置されていない領域同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも小さい。
 ここで、何れのコード層のコードも配置されない部分には、隣接する2層のコード層に亘って連続してゴムが充填される。したがって、隣接する2層のコード層は、コードが配置されていない領域同士が重なり合う部分において、2層を貫くゴムによって連結される。
 すなわち、ゴムクローラ80を内周面からみて、クローラ周方向の全ての領域で、クローラ幅方向に亘って、第1層10と第2層20とを貫いて連結する部分の面積が、第1層10と、第2層20の各コード同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも大きい。
 同様に、ゴムクローラ80を内周面からみて、クローラ周方向の全ての領域で、クローラ幅方向に亘って、メインコード21、バイアスコード31が重なる部分の面積は、メインコード21、バイアスコード31が配置されていない領域同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも小さい。
 すなわち、ゴムクローラ80を内周面からみて、クローラ周方向の全ての領域で、クローラ幅方向に亘って、第2層20と第3層30とを貫いて連結する部分の面積が、第2層20と、第3層30の各コード同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも大きい。
 同様に、ゴムクローラ80を内周面からみて、クローラ周方向の全ての領域で、クローラ幅方向に亘って、バイアスコード31、バイアスコード41が重なる部分の面積は、バイアスコード31、バイアスコード41が配置されていない領域同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも小さい。
 すなわち、ゴムクローラ80を内周面からみて、クローラ周方向の全ての領域で、クローラ幅方向に亘って、第3層30と、第4層40とを貫いて連結する部分の面積が、第3層30と、第4層40との各コード同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも大きい。
(作用)
 第1実施形態のゴムクローラ80は、上記のように構成されており、以下その作用について説明する。
 第1実施形態のゴムクローラ80は、ゴムクローラ80を内周面からみて、クローラ周方向の全ての領域で、クローラ幅方向に亘って、任意の隣接する2層のコード層がゴムによって貫いて連結される部分の面積が、該2層のコード層の各コード同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも大きい。
 走行時に、ゴムクローラ80が転輪90に押圧されると、各コード層には圧縮力が加わる。転輪90は踏込み時から蹴り出し時までゴムクローラ80を押圧するので、この圧縮力は、クローラ厚み方向と、クローラ厚み方向に近い方向に作用する。
 隣り合う2つのコード層の各コード同士が重なり合う部分においては、各コード同士が、各コード同士の間のゴムを挟んで互いに押圧し合うが、圧縮力はクローラ厚み方向に近い方向、即ちクローラ厚み方向からずれた方向からも作用するため、各コード同士は、水平方向にも移動しようとする。
 このとき、各コード同士の間のゴムには、各コード同士が移動しようとする方向にせん断力が作用する。このせん断力によって、各コード同士の間のゴムが破壊される。
 本実施形態のゴムクローラ80によれば、隣り合う2層のコード層を貫いて連結するゴムによって、コード同士の間のゴムの破壊が、水平方向に伝播することが抑制される。
 したがって、本実施形態のゴムクローラ80によれば、埋設されたコード層同士の剥離を抑制することができる。
[第2実施形態]
 以下、図面を参照しながら、第2実施形態の弾性クローラの一例としてのゴムクローラ81について説明する。なお、第1実施形態と同様の構成となる部分については、同一符号を付して説明を省略する。
 図6は、第2実施形態のゴムクローラ81の内周面側からみた部分図であり、ゴムは省略されている。
 第2実施形態のゴムクローラ81の内部には、ゴムクローラ81の内周面側から順に、0度コード層10、メインコード層20、バイアスコード層30、バイアスコード層40が積層されている。
 0度コード層10、メインコード層20、バイアスコード層30、バイアスコード層40にはそれぞれ、0度コード11、メインコード21、バイアスコード31、バイアスコード41が埋設されている。
 ゴムクローラ81を内周面からみて、0度コード11、メインコード21が重なり合う部分の合計面積をS12として表す。
 また、ゴムクローラ81を内周面からみて、メインコード21、バイアスコード31が重なり合う部分の合計面積をS23として表す。
 また、ゴムクローラ81を内周面からみて、バイアスコード31、バイアスコード41が重なり合う部分の合計面積をS34として表す。
 また、0度コード11、メインコード21、バイアスコード31、バイアスコード41が何れも配置されていない領域同士が重なり合う部分の合計面積を、Tとして表す。
 なお、図6においては、S12、S23、S34、Tをそれぞれ1箇所ずつ示したが、S12、S23、S34、Tは、それぞれクローラ周方向の全ての領域で、クローラ幅方向に亘る部分の合計面積であり、図6に示された領域には限られない。
 このとき、第2実施形態のゴムクローラ81では、
 S12<T かつ S23<T かつ S34<T
が成りたつ。
 言い換えると、任意のa[但し、1≦a≦3]において、
 K×Ka+1<(1-K)×(1-K)×(1-K)×(1-K)・・・式(2)
が成り立つ。
 さらに言い換えると、ゴムクローラ81を内周面からみて、クローラ周方向の全ての領域で、クローラ幅方向に亘って、0度コード11、メインコード21が重なる部分の合計面積は、0度コード11、メインコード21、バイアスコード31、バイアスコード41が何れも配置されていない領域同士が重なり合う部分の合計面積よりも小さい。
 すなわち、ゴムクローラ81を内周面からみて、クローラ周方向の全ての領域で、クローラ幅方向に亘って、第1層10、第2層20、第3層30、第4層40を貫くゴムによって連続的に連結される部分の面積が、第1層10と、第2層20の各コード同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも大きい。
 同様に、ゴムクローラ81を内周面からみて、クローラ周方向の全ての領域で、クローラ幅方向に亘って、メインコード21、バイアスコード31が重なる部分の合計面積は、0度コード11、メインコード21、バイアスコード31、バイアスコード41が何れも配置されていない領域同士が重なり合う部分の合計面積よりも小さい。
 すなわち、ゴムクローラ81を内周面からみて、クローラ周方向の全ての領域で、クローラ幅方向に亘って、第1層10、第2層20、第3層30、第4層40を貫く弾性体によって連続的に連結される部分の面積が、第2層20と、第3層30の各コード同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも大きい。
 同様に、ゴムクローラ81を内周面からみて、クローラ周方向の全ての領域で、クローラ幅方向に亘って、バイアスコード31、バイアスコード41が重なる部分の合計面積は、0度コード11、メインコード21、バイアスコード31、バイアスコード41が何れも配置されていない領域同士が重なり合う部分の合計面積よりも小さい。
 すなわち、ゴムクローラ81を内周面からみて、クローラ周方向の全ての領域で、クローラ幅方向に亘って、第1層10、第2層20、第3層30、第4層40を貫く弾性体によって連続的に連結される部分の面積が、第3層30と、第4層40の各コード同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも大きい。
(作用)
 第2実施形態のゴムクローラ81は、上記のように構成されており、以下その作用について説明する。
 第2実施形態のゴムクローラ81は、ゴムクローラ81を内周面からみて、クローラ周方向の全ての領域で、クローラ幅方向に亘って、第1層10、第2層20、第3層30、第4層40を貫く弾性体によって連続的に連結される部分の面積が、任意の隣接する2層のコード層の各コード同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも大きい。
 したがって、第1実施形態のゴムクローラ80よりも、埋設されたコード層同士の剥離を抑制することができる効果が高い。
[他の実施形態]
 以上、本発明の実施形態の例について説明したが、本発明の実施形態は、上記に限定されるものでなく、上記以外にも、その主旨を逸脱しない範囲内において種々変形して実施可能であることは勿論である。
 例えば、ゴムクローラ80には、内周面側から順に0度コード層10、メインコード層20、バイアスコード層30、バイアスコード層40が埋設されているものとしたが、少なくとも2層のコード層が設けられていれば、0度コード層10はなくてもよいし、バイアスコード層40がなくてもよい。
 また、バイアスコード層40の外周面側に、更に別のバイアスコード層を設けてもよい。
 また、0度コード層10をゴムクローラ80の内周面側ではなく外周面側に設けてもよい。
 また、第1実施形態では、ゴムクローラ80を内周面からみて、全ての隣接するコード層にそれぞれ含まれるコード同士が式(1)を満たすものとしたが、少なくとも1組の互いに隣接するコード層にそれぞれ含まれるコード同士が式(1)を満たせばよい。
 すなわち、式(1)において、少なくとも
 a=1 又は a=2 又は a=3
 を満たせばよい。
 この場合、式(1)が成り立つ少なくとも1組の2層間のコード層同士の剥離を抑制することができる。
 次の構成を有するゴムクローラを製造して耐久試験を行い、本実施例の効果について検証した。
 0度コード層10:φ=0.94mm、 D=0.71mm
 メインコード層20:φ=6.19mm、 D=4.47mm
 バイアスコード層30:φ=0.94mm、 D=1.00mm
 バイアスコード層40:φ=0.94mm、 D=1.00mm
 上記の数値を式(A)に代入すると、
 K=0.57、K=0.58、K=0.48、K=0.48
となる(小数点3桁を四捨五入して求められる値。以下同様)。したがって、
 K×K=0.33、(1-K)×(1-K)=0.18、
 K×K=0.28、(1-K)×(1-K)=0.22、
 K×K=0.23、(1-K)×(1-K)=0.27、
となり、式(1-1)は、a=3のときにおいてのみ成り立つ。
 なお、[(1-K)×(1-K)]の値は、(K×K)の値の約117%とされている。
 検証の結果、式(1-1)が成り立たない0度コード層10とメインコード層20との間、及びメインコード層20とバイアスコード層30との間で、コード層同士が剥離した。なお、式(1-1)の左辺(K×Ka+1)から、右辺[(1-K)×(1-Ka+1)]を差し引いた値の大きい、0度コード層10とメインコード層20との間で、剥離の発生箇所が多かった。
 また、式(1-1)が成り立つバイアスコード層30とバイアスコード層40との間では、コード層同士の剥離は発生しなかった。すなわち、式(1-1)の右辺の値が、左辺の値の117%以上とされた隣り合う2層間においては、コード層同士の剥離を抑制する効果があることが確認された。
 また、別の実施形態としては、メインコード層20含まれるメインコード21と、メインコード層20に隣接するコード層に含まれるコード(0度コード11、バイアスコード31)同士が式(1)を満たせばよい。
 すなわち、式(1)において、
 1≦a≦2
を満たせばよい。
 この場合、メインコード層20と、メインコード層20と隣接するコード層(即ち、0度コード層10、バイアスコード層30)との剥離を抑制することができる。
 更には、メインコード層20と隣接するコード層(即ち、0度コード層10、バイアスコード層30)に埋設されたコードのピッチを、該コードの直径の2倍よりも大きくすることにより、メインコード層20に隣接するコード層が弾性体によって連結される部分の面積を、該2層のコード層の各コード同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも大きいものとしてもよい。
 この場合、メインコード21のピッチを小さくすることができるので、ゴムクローラ本体82のクローラ周方向に働く張力に対する強度を損なうことなく、メインコード層20と、メインコード層20と隣接するコード層(即ち、0度コード層10、バイアスコード層30)との剥離を抑制することができる。
 また、第2実施形態では、ゴムクローラ81を内周面からみて、クローラ周方向の全ての領域で、クローラ幅方向に亘って、第1層10、第2層20、第3層30、第4層40を貫く弾性体によって連続的に連結される部分の面積が、任意の隣接する2層のコード層の各コード同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも大きいものとしたが、第1層10、第2層20、第3層30、第4層40を貫く弾性体によって連続的に連結される部分の面積が、少なくとも1組の互いに隣接する前記コード層の各コード同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも大きいものとしてもよい。
 すなわち、
 S12<T 又は S23<T 又は S34<T
を満たせばよい。
 あるいは、第1層10、第2層20、第3層30、第4層40を貫く弾性体によって連続的に連結される部分の面積が、メインコード層と、メインコード層に隣接するコード層の各コード同士が重なり合う部分の面積よりも大きいものとしてもよい。
 すなわち、
 S12<T かつ S23<T
を満たせばよい。
 また、このとき更に、メインコード層20と隣接するコード層(即ち、0度コード層10、バイアスコード層30)に埋設されたコードのピッチを、該コードの直径の2倍よりも大きくしてもよい。
 これらの場合、ゴムクローラ81に埋設されたコード層同士の剥離を抑制する効果を、より高めることができる。
 なお、 S12<T 又は S23<T 又は S34<Tとする効果を検証するために、部分的に層間剥離が発生した弾性クローラを対象に、(T/S)の値と層間剥離の発生の有無を検証した。
 この結果、(T/S)=0.55、0.77、0.80(即ち、T<S)となるコード層間には層間剥離が発生し、(T/S)=1.13(即ち、S<T)となるコード層間には層間剥離が発生していなかった。すなわち、SがTよりも小さいコード層間には層間剥離が発生しておらず、S12<T 又は S23<T 又は S34<Tとすることで、層間剥離が抑制されることがわかった。
 また、各コード層のコードのピッチはクローラ周方向あるいは幅方向に等間隔とされていたが、これに限らない。
 例えば、ゴムクローラ80、81の中央部を除く、幅方向外側の部分のコードのピッチを大きくして、突起50の幅方向外側の部分において式(1)が成り立つものとすればよい。この場合、転輪90が通過する部分において、埋設されたコード層同士の剥離を抑制することができる。
 例えば、図7に示すように、a層に含まれる一のコードをC、該コードの一方側及び他方側に隣接するコードをL及びR、(a+1)層に含まれる一のコードをCa+1、該コードの一方側及び他方側に隣接するコードをLa+1及びRa+1とする。
 このとき、CとLのコード間距離と、CとRのコード間距離は異なるものとする。また、Ca+1とLa+1のコード間距離と、Ca+1とRa+1のコード間距離は異なるものとする。
 ゴムクローラ80を内周面からみたときに、L及びR、La+1及びRa+1に囲まれる領域において、CとCa+1とが重なる部分の面積をS、CとCa+1が何れも配置されていない領域同士が重なり合う部分の面積をT、T、T、T、としたときに、
 S<T かつ S<T かつ S<Tかつ S<T
 が、クローラの任意の領域で成り立っていればよい。
 また、弾性体の一例としてゴムを用いたが、エラストマ等を用いてもよい。

Claims (8)

  1.  弾性体により無端状に形成された弾性クローラ本体と、
     複数本のコードが間隔をあけて並べられると共に弾性体で被覆して形成され、前記弾性クローラ本体に埋設された複数のコード層と、
     を備え、互いに隣接する前記コード層にそれぞれ含まれる前記コード同士は、前記弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、交差して配置されると共に、前記弾性クローラ本体の少なくとも一部の領域において、少なくとも1組の隣接する前記コード層は、前記隣接する前記コード層の各層に含まれる前記コード同士が前記厚み方向からみて重なり合う部分の合計面積が、前記隣接する前記コード層の各層の前記コードが配置されていない領域同士が前記厚み方向からみて重なり合う部分の合計面積よりも小さい、弾性クローラ。
  2.  弾性体により無端状に形成された弾性クローラ本体と、
     複数本のコードが間隔をあけて並べられると共に弾性体で被覆して形成され、前記弾性クローラ本体に埋設された複数のコード層と、
     を備え、互いに隣接する前記コード層にそれぞれ含まれる前記コード同士は、前記弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、交差して配置されると共に、前記弾性クローラ本体の少なくとも一部の領域において、少なくとも1組の隣接する前記コード層の各層に含まれる前記コード同士が、下記式(1)を満たす、弾性クローラ。
     K×Ka+1<(1-K)×(1-Ka+1)・・・式(1)
    [式(1)において、「K」は、前記弾性クローラ本体の内周面側からa番目の層に含まれる複数本のコードから選ばれる一のコードの直径(φ)と前記一のコードのピッチ(φ+D(Dはa層中で前記一のコードに隣接する他のコードと前記一のコードとのコード間距離を表す))との比(φ/(φ+D))を表す。「1-K」は前記コード間距離(D)と前記一のコードのピッチ(φ+D)との比(D/(φ+D))を表す。「Ka+1」は、前記弾性クローラ本体の内周面側から(a+1)番目の層に含まれる複数本のコードから選ばれる一のコードの直径(φa+1)と前記一のコードのピッチ(φa+1+Da+1(Da+1は(a+1)層中で前記一のコードに隣接する他のコードと前記一のコードとのコード間距離を表す))との比(φa+1/(φa+1+Da+1))を表す。「1-Ka+1」は前記コード間距離(Da+1)と前記一のコードのピッチ(φa+1+Da+1)との比(Da+1/(φa+1+Da+1))を表す。但し、aは、1≦a≦X-1(X≧2、Xはコード層の数を表す)である。]
  3.  複数の前記コード層は、
     メインコード層と、
     前記メインコード層と隣接する交差コード層と、
    を備え、前記メインコード層は、前記弾性クローラ本体のクローラ周方向に巻回され、前記弾性体に被覆されたメインコードを有し、
     前記交差コード層は、前記弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて前記メインコードと交差すると共に前記弾性体に被覆された交差コードを有し、
     前記メインコード層に含まれる前記メインコードと、前記交差コード層に含まれる前記交差コードとが、前記式(1)を満たす、請求項2に記載の弾性クローラ。
  4.  前記交差コードのピッチが、前記交差コードの直径の2倍よりも大きい、請求項3に記載の弾性クローラ。
  5.  全ての互いに隣接する前記コード層にそれぞれ含まれる前記コード同士が、前記式(1)を満たす、請求項2に記載の弾性クローラ。
  6.  前記弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、全ての前記コード層が前記弾性体によって貫いて連結される部分を有する、請求項2~請求項5の何れか1項に記載の弾性クローラ。
  7.  前記弾性クローラ本体の厚み方向からみて、前記式(1)を満たす前記コード同士が、次の式(2)を満たす、請求項2~請求項6の何れか1項に記載の弾性クローラ。
     K×Ka+1<(1-K)×(1-K)×・・・×(1-K)・・・式(2)
  8.  前記弾性クローラ本体の内周面には、クローラ周方向に間隔をあけて突起が設けられ、
     前記一部の領域が、前記突起のクローラ幅方向外側の領域である、請求項1~請求項7の何れか1項に記載の弾性クローラ。
