- the normative behavior generation / stop position detection unit 101 determines whether or not the predetermined position exists within the predetermined distance from the host vehicle (step S102). . In the case of an affirmative determination, the normative action generation / stop position detection unit 101 sets the predetermined position closest to the host vehicle to the predetermined position (step S103). In the case of negative determination, the process is terminated, and travel control is executed according to the set automatic driving control or driving support control.
- the normative action generation / stop position detection unit 101 determines whether or not to stop the own vehicle at the predetermined position set in step S103 (step S104). In this step, an affirmative determination is always made if there is a pause line at a predetermined position as in (1) above, and there is no pause line as in (2) and (3) above. First, when there is an interference target such as another vehicle or a pedestrian, the determination is made as follows.
- the normative action generation / stop position detection unit 101 compares the arrival time of the host vehicle to a point where interference may occur and the arrival time of the other vehicle to the point. To do. At this time, information input from the external information recognition unit 12 is used for the position and speed of the other vehicle. As a result of the comparison, if the difference in arrival time is equal to or less than the threshold, the normative action generation / stop position detection unit 101 makes an affirmative determination.
- the threshold value may be set to such a length that the own vehicle and the passengers of the other vehicle do not feel uneasy when the own vehicle crosses another lane.
- the normative action generation / stop position detection unit 101 makes an affirmative determination when a pedestrian or the like crossing the travel route of the host vehicle is recognized by the external information recognition unit 12.
- step S104 when the normative action generation / stop position detection unit 101 makes an affirmative determination in step S104, the norm action “stop” and the coordinates on the map data of the predetermined position set in step S103 are used as the target route.
- the data is output to the equal generating unit 110 and the correction evaluation function setting unit 1032 (step S105).
- the normative action “pass” is output to the target route etc. generation unit 110 and the correction evaluation function setting unit 1032 (step S106).
- the normative behavior generation / stop position detection unit 101 detects a stop position in a predetermined situation on the target route generated by the target route generation unit 102, and sends it to the target route generation unit 102 and the correction evaluation function setting unit 1032. Has a function to output.
- the target route generation unit 102 shown in FIG. 2 generates a target route that passes through the travel route set by the navigation unit 3.
- the generation of the target route may be performed by a well-known method.
- the target route may be analyzed as an optimization problem.
- the first term W u u (s) 2 of the integrand on the right side of the above equation (1) is a penalty function for the curvature change rate u of the path as an input
- the second term W k k ( s) 2 is a penalty function for the curvature k of the input path.
- L is the length of the route, and may be set sufficiently long, for example, a length that allows the vehicle to travel for several seconds at the current speed.
- the path can be obtained by solving and integrating the following equation (2) that satisfies the following equation (3) and the function (4).
- P (X (s)) in the above equation (4) is a function that expresses the distance between the boundary defined by the white line and curb, etc., and the restriction to prevent the path from protruding beyond the boundary. Set as a condition.
- the steering target generator 105 calculates a steering target for causing the host vehicle to follow the target route generated by the target route generator 102 and outputs the steering target to the steering motor controller 13.
- the calculation of the steering target may be performed by a known method such as a method using a forward gaze model.
- the forward gaze model is a model that assumes that the amount of operation of the driver is proportional to the forward deviation, which is a deviation from the target course at the forward gaze point, and when such a model is used, the forward deviation is 0 [m. It is only necessary to calculate a target value that enables control to converge to.
- the target speed generation unit 104 sets a target speed V r of the host vehicle that travels on the target route generated by the target route generation unit 102.
- the target speed V r may be set based on the following equation (5) so that the lateral acceleration and yaw rate of the host vehicle at each point on the target route are equal to or less than a threshold value.
- R is the radius of curvature at each point on the target path
- a ymax is the acceleration
- ⁇ max is the angular velocity.
- the waveform of the target speed V r may be smoothed by applying a gradient limiter, FIR (Finite Impulse Response) filter or the like to the target speed V r obtained by the above equation (5).
- FIR Finite Impulse Response
- the front stop position generation unit 1031 outputs the coordinates on the map data of the predetermined position (that is, the stop position in a predetermined situation) output together with “stop” as the reference action from the reference action generation / stop position detection unit 101. Set as the front stop position. On the other hand, the front stop position generation unit 1031 sets an invalid value for the front stop position when “pass” is output as the reference action from the reference action generation / stop position detection unit 101.
- the target route 16 and the boundary line between the own lane and the opposite lane 18 is set at the intersection point.
- the front stop position is set on the rear side in the traveling direction (front side when viewed from the host vehicle) with respect to the crosswalk 20 on the target route 16 when turning right at the intersection.
- the front stop position is set to the position of the temporary stop line 22 when the temporary stop line 22 exists.
- the correction evaluation function setting unit 1032 sets an evaluation function for correcting the front stop position to the target stop position.
- This evaluation function is set according to the situation at the predetermined position where the host vehicle is stopped. For example, as shown in FIG. 4, when the vehicle crosses the opposite lane adjacent to its own lane and heads for the destination, the following setting is made.
- an evaluation function is set to stop the host vehicle in a posture parallel to the host lane.
- an evaluation function may be set as shown by the following formula (6).
- ⁇ T (x, y) is the direction of the normal vector at the point (x, y) on the target route
- ⁇ l (x, y) is the point (x, y) on the boundary line 18.
- the evaluation value of the evaluation function according to the present embodiment is defined so as to be higher as the vehicle posture is adapted to the stopping condition. In this case, the higher the parallelism between the host vehicle and the boundary line 18 is, the higher the stopping value is.
- ⁇ T (x, y) and ⁇ l (x, y) may be the direction of a tangent vector that is 90 ° in phase with the direction of the normal vector.
- the stop position correcting unit 1033 corrects the front stop position to the target stop position on the rear side based on the evaluation function set by the correction evaluation function setting unit 1032.
- FIG. 7 is a flowchart for explaining the stop position correction process.
- the front stop position generation unit 1031 determines whether or not the front stop position input from the normative action generation / stop position detection unit 101 is not an invalid value (step S201). In this step, a negative determination is made when “pass” is output as the normative action from the normative action generation / stop position detection unit 101. On the other hand, when “stop” is output as the normative action from the normative action generation / stop position detection unit 101, and the coordinates on the map data of the predetermined position are set as the front stop position by the front stop position generation part 1031 An affirmative determination is made.

(Step S205).
- the predetermined distance D may be set as small as possible in consideration of the accuracy of the GPS 2 and map data and the load of calculation processing.
- step S204 a negative determination is made in step S204, that is, until the evaluation value of the expression (6) becomes equal to or less than the threshold value ⁇ th .
- the threshold ⁇ th is set so that the parallelism between the normal vector of ⁇ T (x, y) and the normal vector of ⁇ l (x, y) is sufficiently high.
- step S204 If a negative determination is made in step S204, the stop position correction unit 1033 sets the corrected point (x, y) as the target stop position (step S207). Thereby, the stop position correction process ends.

Thereby, the stop position correction process ends.
- the target speed correction unit 106 corrects the target speed V r so that the host vehicle can stop at the target stop position obtained through the correction by the stop position correction unit 1033.
- the target speed correction unit 106 creates a profile such that the target speed becomes 0 [m / s] at the target stop position when the host vehicle is decelerated at a predetermined deceleration a g [m / s 2 ]. create.
- the target speed correction unit 106 compares the target speed generated by the target speed generation unit 104 with the target speed of the profile, and sets the lower one as the target speed V r . As a result, the target speed of the host vehicle at the corrected target stop position can be set to 0 [m / s].
- the target speed correction unit 106 transmits the corrected target speed to the power train controller 6 and the brake controller 8.
- the evaluation function is set so that the evaluation value becomes higher as the range of the oncoming lane included in the recognition range of the camera 12A becomes wider, as shown by the following equation (7).
- S all is the area of the region on the opposite lane that must be recognized by the camera 12A, obtained by multiplying the distance needed to recognize the width and the counter lane the counter lane.
- S is the area of the region on the opposite lane that must be recognized by the camera 12A, obtained by multiplying the distance needed to recognize the width and the counter lane the counter lane.
- what is necessary is just to set the distance which needs to detect an oncoming lane to the distance which can drive for several seconds at a speed limit, for example.
- S 0 (x, y) is an area where the recognition range of the camera 12A and S all overlap at the point (x, y) where the host vehicle is assumed to stop.
- S 0 (x, y) is a coordinate conversion of the recognition area of the camera 12A using the tangent vector at the point of the shortest distance from the point (x, y) of the target route. What is necessary is just to obtain
- the stop position correction unit 1033 corrects the front stop position to the target stop position based on the evaluation function set by the correction evaluation function setting unit 1032.
- FIG. 8 is a flowchart for explaining the stop position correction process.
- the front stop position generation unit 1031 determines whether or not the front stop position input from the normative action generation / stop position detection unit 101 is not an invalid value (step S301). In this step, a negative determination is made when “pass” is output as the normative action from the normative action generation / stop position detection unit 101. - step S301 If an affirmative determination is made in step S301, the forward stop position generation unit 1031 sets the forward stop position as an initial value at a point (x, y) where the host vehicle is stopped (step S302).
- step S302 the stop position correction
- stop position correcting unit 1033 determines whether the calculated evaluation value is the threshold value S th or more in step 303 (step S304). When an affirmative determination is made in step S304, the stop position correction unit 1033 moves the point (x, y) backward from the current position along the target route by a predetermined distance D (for example, 1 m) and resets it ( Step S305).
- the predetermined distance D may be set as small as possible in consideration of the accuracy of the GPS 2 and map data and the load of calculation processing.
- step S304 The above steps S303 to S305 are repeatedly executed until a negative determination is made in step S304, that is, until the evaluation value of the expression (7) becomes equal to or less than the threshold value Sth .
- the threshold value S th is set such that the area where S 0 (x, y) and S all overlap is sufficiently wide.
- step S304 If a negative determination is made in step S304, the stop position correction unit 1033 sets the corrected point (x, y) as the target stop position (step S307). Thereby, a stop position correction process is complete
- step S301 If a negative determination is made in step S301, the front stop position generation unit 1031 sets the stop position (x, y) to an invalid value (step S306). Thereby, a stop position correction process is complete
