Definitions
- the present invention relates to a headlight mounted on a motorcycle.
- Vehicles typified by motorcycles are generally equipped with a headlight including a low beam light source and a high beam light source.
- a headlight including a low beam light source and a high beam light source.
- Various structures of such headlights are known (see, for example, Patent Document 1 (FIG. 8)).
- the headlight (10) (the numbers in parentheses indicate the symbols described in Patent Document 1. The same shall apply hereinafter) has an upper light emitting section for low beam ( 110L), a lower light emitting part (112L) for high beam is arranged below the upper light emitting part (110L), and a position lamp (130) is arranged below the lower light emitting part (112L). Yes.
- the upper light emitting section (110L) the light emitted from the low beam light source (114) is reflected by the upper reflector (116).
- the lower light emitting section (112L) the light emitted from the high beam light source (118) is reflected by the lower reflector (120).
- the upper light emitting part (110L) and the lower light emitting part (112L) are divided by a front extension part (117b) provided at the lower part of the upper reflector (116) and an extension member (126L). For this reason, at the time of low beam lighting, the light emitted from the low beam light source (114) brightens only the upper light emitting section (110L). Since the light from the low beam light source (114) is not irradiated on the lower light emitting section (112L), the lower light emitting section (112L) is not brightened.
- the lower light emitting part (112L) and the position lamp (130) are divided by a front extension part (121b) provided at the lower part of the lower reflector (120) and an extension cover (104). For this reason, when the high beam is lit, the light emitted from the high beam light source (118) brightens only the lower light emitting section (112L). On the other hand, the upper light emitting unit (110L) does not become bright.
- the light emitting units (110L, 112L) are provided on the upper and lower sides and only one of them emits light, the other light emitting unit (110L or 112L) does not emit light, so the light emitting area of the headlight (10) is small.
- the low beam light source (114) has been irradiated in addition to the high beam light source (118).
- the high beam when the high beam is turned on, the light emitting part (110L) and the light emitting part (112L) become brighter, and the area of the light emitting part increases.
- a housing, a low beam side LED light source, a high beam side LED light source and a position lamp LED light source which are housed in the housing and irradiate light, a front opening is formed, and the light emitted from the light source
- a headlight comprising a reflector that reflects, a lens that is provided in the housing and covers the front opening, and a partition wall that extends from the reflector to the vicinity of the lens and divides the front opening vertically.
- the reflector is provided with a first reflecting surface at a portion above the partition wall, a second reflecting surface is provided at a portion below the partition wall, and the low beam side LED light source includes the first reflecting surface and the first reflecting surface.
- the high-beam side LED light source and the position lamp LED light source are arranged at a position to irradiate the other of the first reflective surface and the second reflective surface.
- the first substrate is provided on the upper portion of the reflector, and the second substrate at least a part of which is disposed in the partition is provided in the vertical middle portion of the reflector.
- a high beam side LED light source and a position lamp LED light source are arranged on any one of the two substrates.
- an engagement hole penetrating in the vertical direction is formed in at least one of the first substrate and the second substrate, and the engagement member is inserted into the engagement hole in the vertical direction so that the first At least one of the substrate and the second substrate is engaged with the reflector.
- the 3rd reflective surface which reflects the light of a position lamp LED light source is provided so that it may continue to the 1st reflective surface or the 2nd reflective surface which reflects the light of the high beam side LED light source, and this
- the third reflecting surface is formed integrally with the reflecting surface that reflects the light of the high beam side LED light source.
- the reflector receives light from the high beam side LED light source or the low beam side LED light source on the first reflecting surface.
- a light guide hole for guiding light is formed, and the light guide hole has a hole shape along the shape of the first reflecting surface.
- the high beam side LED light sources are arranged on the left and right sides in the vehicle width direction, and the left and right high beam side LED light sources and the position lamp LED light source are arranged such that the LED light sources adjacent to the left and right are shifted in the vehicle longitudinal direction. It is characterized by being.
- the third reflecting surface has a concave shape portion so as to be recessed downward, and the concave shape portion is composed of a bottom portion and left and right side portions rising from the edge of the bottom portion, Reflective surfaces are formed on the left and right side portions and the bottom portion.
- a 3rd reflective surface has the protrusion part which protrudes upwards, and this protrusion part is from the upper surface part and the right-and-left side surface part extended below from the edge of this upper surface part. It is comprised, and the reflective surface is formed in the side part and upper surface part on either side, It is characterized by the above-mentioned.
- the reflector is provided with the first reflecting surface at a portion above the partition wall and the second reflecting surface at a portion below the partition wall.
- the low beam side LED light source is disposed at a position to irradiate one of the first reflecting surface and the second reflecting surface, and the high beam side LED light source and the position lamp LED light source irradiate the other of the first reflecting surface and the second reflecting surface. Placed in position.
- the high-beam LED light source is not lit, but the reflective surface to which the light from the high-beam LED light source is irradiated is irradiated with light from the position lamp LED light source, and separated by the partition.
- the entire headlight can be illuminated. That is, in the headlight in which the low beam region and the high beam region are divided by the partition walls, the area of the light emitting portion of the headlight can be increased even when the low beam is turned on.
- the first substrate is provided on the upper portion of the reflector, and the second substrate at least part of which is disposed in the partition is provided in the vertical middle portion of the reflector. Since a part of the substrate is arranged in the upper part of the reflector and in the partition wall, the substrate is prevented from protruding backward, and the length of the headlight in the front and rear direction can be reduced. Furthermore, since the high beam side LED light source and the position lamp LED light source are arranged on either the first substrate or the second substrate, the high beam side LED light source substrate and the position lamp LED light source substrate can be shared. The number of parts can be reduced.
- the engaging member is inserted vertically into the engaging hole penetrating in the vertical direction, and at least one of the first substrate and the second substrate is engaged with the reflector. Since the LED light source has strong directivity, when the position of the reflector to be irradiated shifts in the left-right direction, the irradiation angle toward the front of the vehicle moves to the left and right, and light cannot be guided in the intended direction. In this respect, in the present invention, the engaging member is inserted in the vertical direction, and even if the engaging member is loosened, the substrate only shifts in the vertical direction, so that it is possible to irradiate in the set direction.
- the 3rd reflective surface which reflects the light of a position lamp LED light source is integrally formed in the 1st reflective surface or the 2nd reflective surface which reflects the light of a high beam side LED light source. For this reason, it is not necessary to provide a separate reflector for the position lamp LED light source, and the number of parts can be reduced.
- a light guide hole for guiding light from the high beam side LED light source or the low beam side LED light source to the first reflecting surface is formed in the reflector. Since the light guide hole has a hole shape along the shape of the first reflecting surface, the light from the light source can be concentrated and guided to the first reflecting surface, and the amount of light hitting an unnecessary portion can be reduced. Can be suppressed. As a result, it is possible to suppress the irradiation of light in directions other than the intended direction when the headlight is turned on.
- the high beam side LED light sources are arranged on the left and right sides in the vehicle width direction.
- the left and right high-beam LED light sources and the position lamp LED light sources are arranged so that the LED light sources adjacent to the left and right do not overlap in the vehicle width direction but are shifted in the vehicle front-rear direction. The concentration of heat generated by the LED light source can be avoided.
- a 3rd reflective surface has a concave-shaped part so that it may dent below, This concave-shaped part is comprised from the bottom part and the right-and-left side part which stands up from the edge of this bottom part. .
- the left and right side surfaces are also formed with reflecting surfaces, so that light is emitted from the third reflecting surface by the U-shaped reflecting surface. As a result, the light emission area can be increased.
- a 3rd reflective surface has the protrusion part which protrudes upwards, and this protrusion part is from the upper surface part and the right-and-left side surface part extended below from the edge of this upper surface part. Composed.
- reflecting surfaces are also formed on the left and right side portions and the upper surface portion, so that light is emitted from the third reflecting surface by the convex reflecting surface. As a result, the light emission area can be increased. Furthermore, by irradiating the upper surface portion, it is possible to make it appear as if the place raised above is lit, and the aesthetic appearance can be further improved.

- the upper first reflecting surface 96 is not formed in a parabolic shape in plan view.
- Fig.11 (a) is a figure explaining the advancing direction of the light from the position lamp LED light source 82 in a vehicle side view.
- the light emitted from the position lamp LED light source 82 passes through the second light guide hole 104 and is irradiated below the partition wall 93. Further, the light from the position lamp LED light source 82 is reflected by the third reflecting surface 100 as indicated by an arrow (1), and is irradiated in a substantially horizontal direction forward of the vehicle.
- the lower light emitting portion 121 below the partition wall 93 emits light.
- FIG. 11B is a diagram for explaining the traveling direction of light from the low beam side LED light source 71 in a side view of the vehicle.
- the light emitted from the low beam side LED light source 71 passes through the first light guide hole 103 and is irradiated above the partition wall 93. Further, the light from the low beam side LED light source 71 is reflected by the first reflecting surface 96 as shown by the arrow (2), and is irradiated forward and downward. As a result, the upper light emitting unit 122 above the partition emits light.
- FIG. 11C is a diagram for explaining the traveling direction of the light from the high beam side LED light source 81 in a vehicle side view.
- the light emitted from the high beam side LED light source 81 passes through the second light guide hole 104 and is irradiated below the partition wall 93. Further, the light from the high beam side LED light source 81 is reflected by the second reflecting surface 99 as indicated by an arrow (3), and is irradiated in a substantially horizontal direction forward of the vehicle. As a result, the lower light emitting portion 121 below the partition wall 93 emits light.
- the traveling direction of the light from the high beam side LED light source 81 is substantially the same traveling direction as the traveling direction of the light from the position lamp LED light source 82 described above.
- the headlight divided by the partition wall 93 is obtained by irradiating the light from the position lamp LED light source 82 onto the third reflecting surface 100 of the second reflecting surface 99 to which the light from the high beam side LED light source 81 is irradiated.
- the entire interior of 60 can be illuminated. That is, in the headlight 60 in which the low beam region and the high beam region are divided by the partition wall 93, the area of the light emitting portion of the headlight 60 can be increased even during low beam lighting.
- the high beam side LED light source 81, the low beam side LED light source 71, and the position lamp LED light source are used.
- light is irradiated from 82, it is not limited to this.
- light is emitted from only the low beam LED light source 71 and the position lamp LED light source 82 when the low beam is lit, and light is emitted from the high beam LED light source 81 and the low beam LED light source 71 when the high beam is lit.
- the high beam side LED light source 81, the low beam side LED light source 71, and the position lamp LED light source 82 may be lit independently.
- the position lamp LED light source 82 in plan view, light from the high beam side LED light source 81 (see FIG. 11) converges as shown by an arrow (4) to irradiate the front of the vehicle.
- the light from the position lamp LED light source 82 (see FIG. 11) is diffused as shown by the arrow (5) by the bottom portion 106 and the left and right side portions 107 and 107 (see FIG. 9) to irradiate the front of the vehicle.
- the area of the light emitting portion can be made larger from the front of the vehicle.

- the second reflecting surface 99 is bent so that the left and right portions are recessed, and reflects light from the left and right high-beam LED light sources 81 in a focused manner.
- a third reflecting surface 110 that reflects light from the position lamp LED light source 82 is formed at the center of the second reflecting surface 99 in the vehicle width direction.
- the third reflecting surface 110 constitutes a part of the second reflecting surface 99.
- the third reflecting surface 110 has a protruding portion 115 that protrudes upward.
- the protruding portion 115 includes an upper surface portion 116 and left and right side surface portions 117 extending downward from the edge of the upper surface portion 116.
- a reflective surface is formed on the upper surface portion 116 and the left and right side surface portions 117. For this reason, the light emission area can be increased by emitting light from the position lamp LED light source 82 so as to be diffused by the upper surface portion 116 and the left and right side surface portions 117. Furthermore, by irradiating the protruding upper surface portion 116, it is possible to make it appear as if the place that protrudes forward is lit, and the aesthetic appearance can be further improved.

Abstract
