バクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体とその製造方法を提供することを目的とする。バクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルへ第1の溶媒を加えて第1の混合物を調製する工程、前記第1の混合物へ前記ポリマーを加えて加熱し、前記ポリマーは前記第1の溶媒および水の混合物中に溶解させて第2の混合物を調製する工程、前記第2の混合物を冷却して析出した成形体を得る工程、および前記成形体を第2の溶媒に浸漬させて、前記成形体中に含まれる前記第1の溶媒および水を前記第2の溶媒と置換させて、前記バクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体を得る工程を含み、前記ポリマーは、相分離により多孔質体を形成しうるポリマーであり、前記第1の溶媒は、水と混和性の溶媒である、バクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体の製造方法を提供する。

Description

バクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体およびその製造方法
 本発明は、バクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体およびその製造方法に関する。
 多孔質体は分離剤、吸着剤等として多方面で多く用いられている。無機系多孔質体は、シリカ系多孔質体に関して膨大な研究がなされている。シリカ系多孔質体の中でも多孔体シリカ粒子を作成する技術が一般的である。この多孔体シリカ粒子は、分析用材料として実用化されている。一方、高分子系多孔質体としては、ビニルモノマーの懸濁重合時に適切な希釈剤を加えて多孔質体粒子を得る技術が知られている。この高分子系多孔質体は、高分子材料の軽量性という特徴を活かして、各種吸着剤や分離剤として実用化されている。
 連続した骨格と空隙が互いに絡み合った構造を有する一塊の材料は、モノリスと呼ばれる。本発明者らは、高分子系多孔質体としては、(メタ)アクリル酸エステル系ポリマー(特許文献1)、ポリ乳酸(特許文献2)、ポリビニルアルコール(特許文献3)、ポリカーボネート(特許文献4)、ポリアクリロニトリル(特許文献5)、エチレンビニルアルコール(特許文献6)等の熱誘起相分離または貧溶媒誘起相分離により高分子系多孔質体(モノリス)の製造方法を報告している。
 一方、バクテリアセルロース(BC)は、微生物によって産出された微細なセルロース繊維である。バクテリアセルロースゲルは、そのセルロース繊維が三次元網目構造を形成している。バクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルは、そのバクテリアセルロースに水を保持したゲルであり、含水率は約99%である。バクテリアセルロースの応用例がナタデココであり、古くから知られている。近年、バクテリアセルロースと様々な高分子を組み合わせた複合材料が報告されている。例えば、ポリビニルアルコール水溶液にバクテリアセルロースゲルを浸漬させて複合化する方法(非特許文献1)、バクテリアセルロースの分散液にポリビニルアルコールを添加して、複合化する方法(非特許文献2および3)、バクテリアセルロースの溶液にポリビニルアルコールを添加して、複合化する方法(非特許文献4)、ポリビニルアルコールの存在下に培養を行ってバクテリアセルロースを産出させ、複合化する方法(非特許文献1)などが報告されている。
 前記方法は、水溶性のポリビニルアルコールをバクテリアセルロースとを組み合わせているが、バクテリアセルロースと組み合わせる高分子の種類は、種類が多いとは言えないのが現状である。

 そこで、本発明は、バクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体とその製造方法を提供することを目的とする。
 本発明は、バクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体の製造方法であって、
 前記方法は、
 バクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルへ第1の溶媒を加えて第1の混合物を調製する工程、
 前記第1の混合物へ前記ポリマーを加えて加熱し、前記ポリマーは前記第1の溶媒および水の混合物中に溶解させて第2の混合物を調製する工程、
 前記第2の混合物を冷却して析出した成形体を得る工程、および
 前記成形体を第2の溶媒に浸漬させて、前記成形体中に含まれる前記第1の溶媒および水を前記第2の溶媒と置換させて、前記バクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体を得る工程を含み、
 前記ポリマーは、相分離により多孔質体を形成しうるポリマーであり、
 前記第1の溶媒は、水と混和性の溶媒である。前記多孔質体において、バクテリアセルロースは繊維状であるのが好ましい。
 本発明により、バクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体の製造方法を提供することが可能である。また、本発明の製造方法により、バクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体を得ることができる。

 通常のハイドロゲルへ有機溶媒を添加するとハイドロゲルが収縮または崩壊する。本発明者らは、バクテリアセルロースのハイドロゲルについては、そのような現象は見られないこと、およびハイドロゲル中の水は有機溶媒との溶媒置換が可能であることを見出した。このような知見に基づき、バクテリアセルロースのハイドロゲル中でポリマーのモノリスを形成することにより、バクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体を形成しうることを、本発明者らは見出した。
 本発明において、バクテリアセルロースとは、微生物によって産出された微細なセルロース繊維である。前記微生物としては、セルロース生産菌であれば限定されないが、例えば、アセトバクター属、グルコノバクター属、アグロバクテリウム属、シュードモナス属、エンテロバクター属などに属する細菌が挙げられる。バクテリアセルロースゲルは、そのセルロース繊維が三次元網目構造を形成している。バクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルは、そのバクテリアセルロースに水を保持したゲルであり、含水率は約99%である。なお、ナタデココは、バクテリアセルロースのハイドロゲルの一種である。
 前記微生物を培養する培地としては、特に限定されないが、例えば、炭素源として、グルコース、マンニトール、スクロース、マルトース、澱粉加水分解物、糖蜜、エタノール、酢酸、クエン酸等を、窒素源として、硫酸アンモニウム、塩化アンモニウム、リン酸アンモニウム等のアンモニウム塩、硝酸塩、尿素、ポリペプトン等を、無機塩類として、リン酸塩、カルシウム塩、鉄塩、マンガン塩を、有機微量栄養素として、アミノ酸、ビタミン、脂肪酸、核酸等を含む培地を用いることができる。
 本発明において、前記ポリマーは、相分離により多孔質体を形成しうるポリマーである。このようなポリマーとしては、例えば、ポリ乳酸、アクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、アクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマー、ポリアクリロニトリル、アクリロニトリルを含むコポリマー、ポリビニルアルコール、エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体、ポリ(γ-グルタミン酸)、キトサン、アルギン酸、ポリエチレンオキシド、酢酸セルロース等が挙げられ、ポリアクリロニトリル、アクリロニトリルを含むコポリマー、ポリメタクリル酸メチル、ポリビニルアルコール、およびエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体が好ましく、ポリアクリロニトリル、アクリロニトリルを含むコポリマー、およびエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体がより好ましい。
 前記ポリ乳酸としては、ポリL-乳酸、ポリD-乳酸またはポリDL-乳酸である。ポリ乳酸の光学純度は好ましくは95%以上であり、より好ましくは96%以上であり、さらに好ましくは97%以上である。ポリ乳酸の重量平均分子量(Mw)は、好ましくは3万以上であり、より好ましくは5万以上であり、さらに好ましくは8万以上である。ポリ乳酸は市販のポリ乳酸を入手してもよいし、文献公知の方法に従い、自家製造してもよい。
 前記アクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、アクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマーとしては、以下のものが挙げられる。
 前記アクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマーとしては、例えば、アクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類のホモポリマー、および、アクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類のホモポリマーが挙げられる。前記アクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類のホモポリマーとしては、例えば、ポリアクリル酸メチル、ポリアクリル酸エチル、ポリアクリル酸ブチル、ポリアクリル酸t-ブチル、ポリアクリル酸ベンジル等が挙げられ、前記アクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類のホモポリマーとしては、例えば、ポリアクリル酸グリシジル等が挙げられる。
 前記アクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマーとしては、例えば、アクリル酸エステル類とアクリル酸のコポリマー、アクリル酸エステル類とメタクリル酸のコポリマー、アクリル酸エステル類とアクリル酸エステル類のコポリマー、アクリル酸エステル類とメタクリル酸エステル類のコポリマー、アクリル酸エステル類と前記以外のモノマーのコポリマー等が挙げられる。
 前記メタクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマーとしては、例えば、メタクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類のホモポリマー、および、メタクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類のホモポリマーが挙げられる。前記メタクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類のホモポリマーとしては、ポリメタクリル酸メチル、ポリメタクリル酸エチル、ポリメタクリル酸ブチル、ポリメタクリル酸t-ブチル、ポリメタクリル酸ベンジル、ポリメタクリル酸2-ヒドロキシエチル等が挙げられ、前記メタクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類のホモポリマーとしては、例えば、ポリメタクリル酸グリシジル等が挙げられる。
 前記メタクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマーとしては、例えば、メタクリル酸エステル類とアクリル酸のコポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類とメタクリル酸のコポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類とアクリル酸エステル類のコポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類とメタクリル酸エステル類のコポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類と前記以外のモノマーのコポリマー等が挙げられる。前記メタクリル酸エステル類と前記以外のモノマーのコポリマーとしては、メタクリル酸エステル類と下記式(I)で表わされるモノマーのコポリマーが好ましい。
 前記式(I)において、R1、R2、R3およびR4は、互いに独立して、水素原子、ハロゲン原子、カルバモイル基、シアノ基、低級アルキル基、ビニルオキシ基、アリール基またはハロゲン原子で置換されたアリール基であるか、または、
1とR3は、R1とR3が結合している二重結合と一緒になって、2,5-ジヒドロフラン-2,5-ジオンを形成し、かつ、
2とR3は、互いに独立して、水素原子、ハロゲン原子、カルバモイル基、シアノ基、低級アルキル基、ビニルオキシ基、アリール基またはハロゲン原子で置換されたアリール基である。
 前記アクリル酸エステル類とアクリル酸のコポリマーとしては、例えば、アクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、アクリル酸のコポリマー;および、アクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、アクリル酸のコポリマーが挙げられる。前記アクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、アクリル酸のコポリマーとしては、例えば、アクリル酸メチルとアクリル酸のコポリマー、アクリル酸エチルとアクリル酸のコポリマー、アクリル酸ブチルとアクリル酸のコポリマー、アクリル酸t-ブチルとアクリル酸のコポリマー、アクリル酸ベンジルとアクリル酸のコポリマー等が挙げられ、前記アクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、アクリル酸のコポリマーとしては、例えば、アクリル酸グリシジルとアクリル酸のコポリマー等が挙げられる。
 前記アクリル酸エステル類とメタクリル酸のコポリマーとしては、例えば、アクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸のコポリマー;および、アクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸のコポリマーが挙げられる。前記アクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸のコポリマーとしては、例えば、アクリル酸メチルとメタクリル酸のコポリマー、アクリル酸エチルとメタクリル酸のコポリマー、アクリル酸ブチルとメタクリル酸のコポリマー、アクリル酸t-ブチルとメタクリル酸のコポリマー、アクリル酸ベンジルとメタクリル酸のコポリマー等が挙げられ、前記アクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸のコポリマーとしては、例えばアクリル酸グリシジルとメタクリル酸のコポリマー等が挙げられる。

 前記アクリル酸エステル類とメタクリル酸エステル類のコポリマーとしては、例えば、アクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類のコポリマー;
アクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類のコポリマー;
アクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類のコポリマー;および
アクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類のコポリマー;が挙げられる。
 前記アクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類のコポリマーとしては、例えば、アクリル酸メチルとメタクリル酸メチルのコポリマー、アクリル酸メチルとメタクリル酸エチルのコポリマー、アクリル酸メチルとメタクリル酸ブチルのコポリマー、アクリル酸メチルとメタクリル酸t-ブチルのコポリマー、アクリル酸メチルとメタクリル酸ベンジルのコポリマー等があげられる。前記アクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類のコポリマーとしては、例えば、アクリル酸メチルとメタクリル酸グリシジルのコポリマー等が挙げられる。
 前記アクリル酸エステル類と前記以外のモノマーのコポリマーとしては、例えば、前記アクリル酸エステル類と下記式(I)で表わされるモノマーとのコポリマーが挙げられる。前記前記アクリル酸エステル類と下記式(I)で表わされるモノマーとのコポリマーとしては、例えば、アクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、式(I)で表わされるモノマーのコポリマー;およびアクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、式(I)で表わされるモノマーのコポリマーが挙げられる。
 前記アクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、式(I)で表わされるモノマーのコポリマーとしては、例えば、アクリル酸メチルと無水マレイン酸のコポリマー、アクリル酸エチルと塩化ビニルのコポリマー、アクリル酸ブチルとビニルエーテルのコポリマー、アクリル酸t-ブチルと無水マレイン酸のコポリマー、アクリル酸ベンジルと塩化ビニルのコポリマー、アクリル酸メチルとスチレンのコポリマー、アクリル酸メチルとアクリロニトリルのコポリマー、アクリル酸メチルとアクリルアミドのコポリマー等が挙げられる。前記アクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、式(I)で表わされるモノマーのコポリマーとしては、例えば、アクリル酸グリシジルとビニルエーテルのコポリマー等が挙げられる。
 前記メタクリル酸エステル類とアクリル酸のコポリマーとしては、例えば、メタクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、アクリル酸のコポリマー;および、メタクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、アクリル酸のコポリマーが挙げられる。前記メタクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、アクリル酸のコポリマーとしては、例えば、メタクリル酸メチルとアクリル酸のコポリマー、メタクリル酸エチルとアクリル酸のコポリマー、メタクリル酸ブチルとアクリル酸のコポリマー、メタクリル酸t-ブチルとアクリル酸のコポリマー、メタクリル酸ベンジルとアクリル酸のコポリマー等が挙げられる。前記メタクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、アクリル酸のコポリマーとしては、例えば、メタクリル酸グリシジルとアクリル酸のコポリマー等が挙げられる。
 前記メタクリル酸エステル類とメタクリル酸のコポリマーとしては、例えば、メタクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸のコポリマー;および、メタクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸のコポリマーが挙げられる。前記メタクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸のコポリマーとしては、例えば、メタクリル酸メチルとメタクリル酸のコポリマー、メタクリル酸エチルとメタクリル酸のコポリマー、メタクリル酸ブチルとメタクリル酸のコポリマー、メタクリル酸t-ブチルとメタクリル酸のコポリマー、メタクリル酸ベンジルとメタクリル酸のコポリマー等が挙げられる。前記メタクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸のコポリマーとしては、例えば、メタクリル酸グリシジルとメタクリル酸のコポリマー等が挙げられる。
 前記メタクリル酸エステル類とメタクリル酸エステル類のコポリマーとしては、例えば、メタクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとの別のエステル類のコポリマー;
メタクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類のコポリマー;および
メタクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとの別のエステル類のコポリマー;が挙げられる。
 前記メタクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとの別のエステル類のコポリマーとしては、例えば、メタクリル酸メチルとメタクリル酸エチルのコポリマー、メタクリル酸メチルとメタクリル酸ブチルのコポリマー、メタクリル酸ブチルとメタクリル酸ベンジルのコポリマー等が挙げられる。前記メタクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、メタクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類のコポリマーとしては、例えば、メタクリル酸メチルとメタクリル酸グリシジルのコポリマー等が挙げられる。
 前記メタクリル酸エステル類と前記式(I)で表わされるモノマーのコポリマーとしては、例えば、メタクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、式(I)で表わされるモノマーのコポリマー;およびメタクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、式(I)で表わされるモノマーのコポリマーが挙げられる。
 前記メタクリル酸とアリール基、ヒドロキシ基、カルボキシル基およびハロゲン原子からなる群から選択される1以上を含んでもよい炭素数1~6の低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、式(I)で表わされるモノマーのコポリマーとしては、例えば、メタクリル酸メチルと無水マレイン酸のコポリマー、メタクリル酸エチルと塩化ビニルのコポリマー、メタクリル酸ブチルとビニルエーテルのコポリマー、メタクリル酸t-ブチルと無水マレイン酸のコポリマー、メタクリル酸ベンジルと塩化ビニルのコポリマー、メタクリル酸メチルとスチレンのコポリマー、メタクリル酸メチルとアクリロニトリルのコポリマー、メタクリル酸メチルとアクリルアミドのコポリマー、メタクリル酸メチルと4-クロロメチルスチレンのコポリマー等が挙げられる。前記メタクリル酸と炭素数2~6のエポキシ低級アルキルアルコールとのエステル類と、式(I)で表わされるモノマーのコポリマーとしては、例えば、メタクリル酸グリシジルとビニルエーテルのコポリマー等が挙げられる。
 なお、前記ポリマーがコポリマーの場合、モノマー組成比は限定されないが、そのポリマーの水に対する溶解性が低くなるようなものが挙げられる。前記ポリマーのモノマー配列はランダム、ブロック等であってもよい。さらに、前記ポリマーの分子量は限定されないが、例えば、数平均分子量は1,000~100,000,000であり、好ましくは2,000~50,000,000であり、より好ましくは3,000~20,000,000である。また、例えば、重量平均分子量は1,000~150,000,000であり、好ましくは2,000~80,000,000であり、より好ましくは3,000~40,000,000である。
 前記ポリアクリロニトリルとしては、分子量は限定されないが、平均分子量が、例えば、1万~500万であり、好ましくは2万~400万であり、より好ましくは3万~300万である。
 前記アクリロニトリルを含むコポリマーとしては、酢酸ビニルとアクリロニトリルのコポリマー、アクリル酸メチルとアクリロニトリルのコポリマー、スチレンとアクリロニトリルのコポリマー、メタクリル酸とアクリロニトリルのコポリマー、ブタジエンとアクリロニトリルのコポリマー等が挙げられる。
 前記ポリビニルアルコールとしては、分子量は限定されないが、分子量が、例えば、5千~500万であり、好ましくは1万~400万であり、より好ましくは1万~300万である。また、重合度は、例えば、100~10万、好ましくは200~8万、より好ましくは200~6万である。また、ポリビニルアルコールは、けん化度が、例えば60モル%以上、好ましくは80モル%以上、より好ましくは85モル%以上である。
 前記エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体としては、分子量は限定されないが、分子量が、例えば、5千~500万であり、好ましくは1万~400万であり、より好ましくは1万~300万である。また、重合度は、例えば、100~10万、好ましくは200~8万、より好ましくは200~6万である。
 前記ポリ(γ-グルタミン酸)は、バチルス属の微生物の発酵により非常に効率よく生産され、α-カルボキシル基に含有するカルボキシル基を側鎖に有する直鎖の水溶性のい生分解性のポリマーである。前記ポリ(γ-グルタミン酸)としては、分子量は限定されないが、例えば、3千~1000万であり、好ましくは5千~800万であり、より好ましくは1万~500万である。また、重合度は、例えば、100~10万、好ましくは200~8万、より好ましくは200~6万である。
 前記キトサンは、アミノ基を有する天然多糖類であり、抗菌性、金属キレート能などの多様な用途を有する機能性高分子である。主成分としてエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体とキトサンとを含む多孔質体は、エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の水酸基と、キトサンのアミノ基をあわせ持つ多孔質体である。前記キトサンとしては、脱アセチル化度が、例えば、60モル%以上、好ましくは70モル%以上、より好ましくは80モル%以上である。また、キトサンとしては、重合度が、例えば、30~10,000、好ましくは50~5,000である。
 前記アルギン酸は、β-D-マンヌロン酸と、そのC-5エピマーであるα-L-グルロン酸の2種のブロックが(1-4)結合した直鎖状のポリマーである。前記アルギン酸としては、分子量は限定されないが、例えば、3千~1000万であり、好ましくは5千~800万であり、より好ましくは1万~500万である。
 前記ポリエチレンオキシドとしては、分子量は限定されないが、例えば、3千~1000万であり、好ましくは5千~800万であり、より好ましくは1万~500万である。
 前記酢酸セルロースとしては、セルロースを酢酸エステル化することにより得られる高分子である。酢酸セルロースの酸化度は、例えば、50~70である。酢酸セルロースとしては、分子量は限定されないが、分子量は、例えば、3千~1000万であり、好ましくは5千~800万であり、より好ましくは1万~500万である。
 <バクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルへ第1の溶媒を加えて第1の混合物を調製する工程>
 バクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルへ第1の溶媒を加えることにより、バクテリアセルロースと水と第1の溶媒とを含む第1の混合物を得る。バクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルは、含水率は約99%である。
 本発明において、前記第1の溶媒とは、水と混和性であり、かつ水以外の溶媒であれば、限定されない。このような第1の溶媒としては、例えば、メタノール、エタノール、イソプロパノール、グリセリン、エチレングリコール、1,3-プロパンジオール、1,2-プロパンジオール、1,4-ブタンジオール、2-ブタノン、ニトロメタン、ニトロエタン、ニトロベンゼン、ベンゾニトリル、プロピオニトリル、テトラヒドロフラン、ジグライム、ジメチルスルホキシド(DMSO)、ジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)、アセトン、メチルエチルケトン、ジメチルアセトアミド(DMAc)、N-メチルピロリドン、1,4-ジオキサン、アセトニトリル、1-プロパノールが挙げられ、ジメチルスルホキシド、エタノール、メタノール、イソプロパノール、DMF、N-メチルピロリドン、1,4-ジオキサンが好ましく、ジメチルスルホキシド、エタノール、イソプロパノール、DMFがより好ましい。
 前記ポリマーがポリ乳酸である場合、前記第1の溶媒としては、DMSO、1,4-ジオキサンが好ましく、DMSOがより好ましい。また、前記ポリマーがアクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、アクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、およびメタクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマーのいずれかである場合、前記第1の溶媒としては、水酸基を1以上有する炭素原子数が1~8の脂肪族炭化水素を含む脂肪族アルコールが好ましく、エタノール、イソプロパノールがより好ましい。また、前記ポリマーが、ポリアクリロニトリルである場合、前記第1の溶媒としては、ジメチルスルホキシド、DMF、DMAcが好ましく、ジメチルスルホキシド、DMFがより好ましい。また、前記ポリマーがポリビニルアルコールである場合、前記第1の溶媒としては、アセトンが好ましい。また、前記ポリマーがエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体である場合、前記第1の溶媒としては、イソプロパノールが好ましい。また、前記ポリマーがアクリロニトリルを含むコポリマーである場合、前記第1の溶媒としては、ジメチルスルホキシド、DMF、DMAcが好ましく、ジメチルスルホキシド、DMFがより好ましい。また、前記ポリマーがポリ(γ-グルタミン酸)である場合、前記第1の溶媒としては、ジメチルスルホキシド、DMF、DMAcが好ましく、ジメチルスルホキシド、DMFがより好ましい。また、前記ポリマーがキトサンである場合、前記第1の溶媒としては、ジメチルスルホキシド、DMF、DMAcが好ましく、ジメチルスルホキシド、DMFがより好ましい。また、前記ポリマーがアルギン酸である場合、前記第1の溶媒としては、メタノール、エタノールおよびイソプロパノールが好ましく、メタノール、およびエタノールがより好ましい。また、前記ポリマーがポリエチレンオキシドである場合、前記第1の溶媒としては、ジメチルスルホキシド、DMF、DMAcが好ましく、ジメチルスルホキシド、DMFがより好ましい。また、前記ポリマーが酢酸セルロースである場合、前記第1の溶媒としては、ジメチルスルホキシド、DMF、DMAcが好ましく、ジメチルスルホキシド、DMFがより好ましい。
 本発明の製造方法においては、第1の混合物における前記第1の溶媒と水の体積割合[第1の溶媒/(水+第1の溶媒)]が、好ましくは、10~99.5%、より好ましくは20~99%である。なお、バクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルが含水率約99%であることから、第1の混合物における水の体積は、バクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルの体積とほぼ同一である。
 前記ポリマーがポリ乳酸である場合、前記第1の混合物における前記第1の溶媒と水の体積割合(第1の溶媒/水+第1の溶媒)は、75%~99.5%が好ましい。また、前記ポリマーがアクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、アクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、およびメタクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマーのいずれかである場合、前記第1の混合物における前記第1の溶媒と水の体積割合(第1の溶媒/水+第1の溶媒)は、30~99%が好ましく、50~97%がより好ましい。また、前記ポリマーが、ポリアクリロニトリルである場合、前記第1の混合物における前記第1の溶媒と水の体積割合(第1の溶媒/水+第1の溶媒)は、10~95%が好ましく、20~90%がより好ましい。また、前記ポリマーがポリビニルアルコールである場合、前記第1の混合物における前記第1の溶媒と水の体積割合(第1の溶媒/水+第1の溶媒)は、35~55%が好ましく、50~52%がより好ましい。また、前記ポリマーがエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体である場合、前記第1の混合物における前記第1の溶媒と水の体積割合(第1の溶媒/水+第1の溶媒)は、40~90%が好ましく、40~80%がより好ましい。また、前記ポリマーがアクリロニトリルを含むコポリマーである場合、前記第1の混合物における前記第1の溶媒と水の体積割合(第1の溶媒/水+第1の溶媒)は、10~95%が好ましく、20~90%がより好ましい。また、前記ポリマーがポリ(γ-グルタミン酸)である場合、前記第1の混合物における前記第1の溶媒と水の体積割合(第1の溶媒/水+第1の溶媒)は、10~95%が好ましく、20~90%がより好ましい。また、前記ポリマーがキトサンである場合、前記第1の混合物における前記第1の溶媒と水の体積割合(第1の溶媒/水+第1の溶媒)は、40~90%が好ましく、40~80%がより好ましい。また、前記ポリマーがアルギン酸である場合、前記第1の混合物における前記第1の溶媒と水の体積割合(第1の溶媒/水+第1の溶媒)は、35~55%が好ましく、50~52%がより好ましい。また、前記ポリマーがポリエチレンオキシドである場合、前記第1の混合物における前記第1の溶媒と水の体積割合(第1の溶媒/水+第1の溶媒)は、10~95%が好ましく、20~90%がより好ましい。また、前記ポリマーが酢酸セルロースである場合、前記第1の混合物における前記第1の溶媒と水の体積割合(第1の溶媒/水+第1の溶媒)は、10~95%が好ましく、20~90%がより好ましい。
 本発明において、第2の溶媒は、例えば、水、低級アルコール、アセトン、メチルエチルケトン、ジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)、ジメチルアセトアミド(DMAc)、N-メチルピロリドン、1,4-ジオキサンおよびアセトニトリルが挙げられ、水、低級アルコール、アセトンおよびアセトニトリルからなる群から選択される1以上が好ましく、水、メタノール、アセトン、アセトニトリルがより好ましい。前記低級アルコールとしては、炭素数1~6を有する低級アルコールが挙げられ、例えば、メタノール、エタノール、n-プロパノール、i-プロパノール、n-ブタノール、2-ブタノール、i-ブタノール、t-ブタノール、n-ペンタノール、t-アミルアルコール、n-ヘキサノールが挙げられる。
 <前記第1の混合物へ前記ポリマーを加えて加熱し、前記ポリマーは前記第1の溶媒および水の混合物中に溶解させて第2の混合物を調製する工程>
 前記ポリマーは前記第1の溶媒および水の混合物中に溶解させる際、物理的刺激を与えて行ってもよい。その物理的刺激としては、例えば、攪拌、振とう、超音波処理等が挙げられる。前記第1の混合物へ前記ポリマーを加えて加熱する際の温度は、例えば、15℃~100℃であり、好ましくは、20℃~95℃である。第2の混合物は、前記バクテリアセルロースと水と前記第1の溶媒と前記ポリマーとを含む。前記ポリマーは、水と第1の溶媒の混合物中に溶解されている。
 前記ポリマーがポリ乳酸である場合、加熱する際の温度は、好ましくは40℃~100℃である。また、前記ポリマーがアクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、アクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、およびメタクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマーのいずれかである場合、加熱する際の温度は、好ましくは15℃~65℃であり、より好ましくは20℃~60℃である。また、前記ポリマーが、ポリアクリロニトリルである場合、加熱する際の温度は、好ましくは70℃~95℃であり、より好ましくは70℃~90℃である。また、前記ポリマーがポリビニルアルコールである場合、加熱する際の温度は、好ましくは30℃~100℃であり、より好ましくは40℃~100℃である。また、前記ポリマーがエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体である場合、加熱する際の温度は、好ましくは30℃~100℃であり、より好ましくは40℃~100℃である。また、前記ポリマーがアクリロニトリルを含むコポリマーである場合、加熱する際の温度は、好ましくは70℃~95℃であり、より好ましくは70℃~90℃である。また、前記ポリマーがポリ(γ-グルタミン酸)である場合、加熱する際の温度は、好ましくは70℃~95℃であり、より好ましくは70℃~90℃である。また、前記ポリマーがキトサンである場合、加熱する際の温度は、好ましくは30℃~100℃であり、より好ましくは40℃~100℃である。また、前記ポリマーがアルギン酸である場合、加熱する際の温度は、好ましくは30℃~100℃であり、より好ましくは40℃~100℃である。また、前記ポリマーがポリエチレンオキシドである場合、加熱する際の温度は、好ましくは70℃~95℃であり、より好ましくは70℃~90℃である。また、前記ポリマーが酢酸セルロースである場合、加熱する際の温度は、好ましくは70℃~95℃であり、より好ましくは70℃~90℃である。
 本発明の製造方法においては、前記第2の混合物における前記ポリマーの濃度は、例えば、5~300mg/ml、好ましくは10~200mg/ml、より好ましくは15~150mg/mlである。
 前記ポリマーがポリ乳酸である場合、前記第2の混合物における前記ポリマーの濃度は、好ましくは30~150mg/ml、より好ましくは30~120mg/mlである。また、前記ポリマーがアクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、アクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、およびメタクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマーのいずれかである場合、前記第2の混合物における前記ポリマーの濃度は、好ましくは5~200mg/mlである。また、前記ポリマーが、ポリアクリロニトリルである場合、前記第2の混合物における前記ポリマーの濃度は、好ましくは40~300mg/ml、より好ましくは50~200mg/mlである。また、前記ポリマーがポリビニルアルコールである場合、前記第2の混合物における前記ポリマーの濃度は、好ましくは10~300mg/ml、より好ましくは15~200mg/mlである。また、前記ポリマーがエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体である場合、前記第2の混合物における前記ポリマーの濃度は、好ましくは40~300mg/ml、より好ましくは60~250mg/mlである。また、前記ポリマーがアクリロニトリルを含むコポリマーである場合、前記第2の混合物における前記ポリマーの濃度は、好ましくは40~300mg/ml、より好ましくは50~200mg/mlである。また、前記ポリマーがポリ(γ-グルタミン酸)である場合、前記第2の混合物における前記ポリマーの濃度は、好ましくは40~300mg/ml、より好ましくは50~200mg/mlである。また、前記ポリマーがキトサンである場合、前記第2の混合物における前記ポリマーの濃度は、好ましくは40~300mg/ml、より好ましくは60~250mg/mlである。また、前記ポリマーがアルギン酸である場合、前記第2の混合物における前記ポリマーの濃度は、好ましくは10~300mg/ml、より好ましくは15~200mg/mlである。また、前記ポリマーがポリエチレンオキシドである場合、前記第2の混合物における前記ポリマーの濃度は、好ましくは40~300mg/ml、より好ましくは50~200mg/mlである。また、前記ポリマーが酢酸セルロースである場合、前記第2の混合物における前記ポリマーの濃度は、好ましくは40~300mg/ml、より好ましくは50~200mg/mlである。
 <前記第2の混合物を冷却して析出した成形体を得る工程>
 前記第2の混合物を冷却する温度は、例えば、-200℃~60℃、好ましくは-196℃~45℃、より好ましくは-20℃~40℃である。冷却時間は、好ましくは10秒~48時間であり、より好ましくは30秒~24時間である。なお、この第2の混合物を冷却する際、第2の混合物を容器に入れて冷却してもよい。
 前記ポリマーがポリ乳酸である場合、前記第2の混合物を冷却する温度は、好ましくは-20℃~30℃である。また、前記ポリマーがアクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、アクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、およびメタクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマーのいずれかである場合、前記第2の混合物を冷却する温度は、好ましくは-200℃~40℃、より好ましくは0℃~30℃である。また、前記ポリマーが、ポリアクリロニトリルである場合、前記第2の混合物を冷却する温度は、好ましくは-20℃~60℃、より好ましくは15℃~45℃である。また、前記ポリマーがポリビニルアルコールである場合、前記第2の混合物を冷却する温度は、好ましくは-196℃~40℃、より好ましくは-196℃~35℃である。また、前記ポリマーがエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体である場合、前記第2の混合物を冷却する温度は、好ましくは-196℃~40℃、より好ましくは-196℃~35℃である。また、前記ポリマーがアクリロニトリルを含むコポリマーである場合、前記第2の混合物を冷却する温度は、好ましくは-20℃~60℃、より好ましくは15℃~45℃である。また、前記ポリマーがポリ(γ-グルタミン酸)である場合、前記第2の混合物を冷却する温度は、好ましくは-20℃~60℃、より好ましくは15℃~45℃である。また、前記ポリマーがキトサンである場合、前記第2の混合物を冷却する温度は、好ましくは-196℃~40℃、より好ましくは-196℃~35℃である。また、前記ポリマーがアルギン酸である場合、前記第2の混合物を冷却する温度は、好ましくは-196℃~40℃、より好ましくは-196℃~35℃である。また、前記ポリマーがポリエチレンオキシドである場合、前記第2の混合物を冷却する温度は、好ましくは-20℃~60℃、より好ましくは15℃~45℃である。また、前記ポリマーが酢酸セルロースである場合、前記第2の混合物を冷却する温度は、好ましくは-20℃~60℃、より好ましくは15℃~45℃である。

 <前記成形体を第2の溶媒に浸漬させて、前記成形体中に含まれる前記第1の溶媒および水を前記第2の溶媒と置換させて、前記バクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体を得る工程>
 前記第1の溶媒および水を第2の溶媒と置換させた後、得られた成形体を乾燥して多孔質体を得てもよい。前記乾燥は、例えば0℃~90℃、好ましくは10℃~80℃で行う。また、前記乾燥は、例えば減圧~常圧、好ましくは減圧で行う。また、前記乾燥は凍結乾燥でもよい。
 前記ポリマーがポリ乳酸である場合、前記乾燥は、好ましくは20℃~80℃、より好ましくは20℃~60℃で行う。また、前記ポリマーがアクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、アクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、およびメタクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマーのいずれかである場合、前記第2の混合物を冷却する温度は、前記乾燥は、好ましくは10℃~40℃、より好ましくは20℃~30℃で行う。また、前記ポリマーが、ポリアクリロニトリルである場合、前記乾燥は、好ましくは0℃~90℃、より好ましくは0℃~80℃で行う。また、前記ポリマーがポリビニルアルコールである場合、前記乾燥は、好ましくは0℃~90℃、より好ましくは10℃~80℃で行う。また、前記ポリマーがエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体である場合、前記乾燥は、好ましくは0℃~90℃、より好ましくは10℃~80℃で行う。また、前記ポリマーがアクリロニトリルを含むコポリマーである場合、前記乾燥は、好ましくは0℃~90℃、より好ましくは0℃~80℃で行う。また、前記ポリマーがポリ(γ-グルタミン酸)である場合、前記乾燥は、好ましくは0℃~90℃、より好ましくは0℃~80℃で行う。また、前記ポリマーがキトサンである場合、前記乾燥は、好ましくは0℃~90℃、より好ましくは10℃~80℃で行う。

 本発明の多孔質体は、前記のようにバクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含み、前記ポリマーは、相分離により多孔質体を形成しうるポリマーである多孔質体である。前記多孔質体は、具体的には、前記ポリマーの多孔質体に前記バクテリアセルロース(好ましくは繊維状のバクテリアセルロース)の3次元ネットワーク構造が絡み合っている構造を有する。また、本発明の多孔質体は、例えば、孔径は、0.05μm~30μmであり、骨格径は、例えば0.05μm~20μmであり、好ましくは孔径は、0.1μm~10μmであり、骨格径は、好ましくは0.1μm~20μmであり、より好ましくは孔径は、0.3μm~10μmであり、骨格径は、より好ましくは0.3μm~8μmである。

 また、本発明の多孔質体の比表面積は、例えば、1~1000m2/gであり、好ましくは2~500m2/gである。なお、比表面積は、具体的には実施例に記載の方法で測定できる。従って、このような多孔質体は、例えばフィルター、吸着材等として、用いることができる。
 前記ポリマーがポリ乳酸である場合、多孔質体の比表面積は、好ましくは、3~900m2/gであり、より好ましくは5~700m2/gである。また、前記ポリマーがアクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、アクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、およびメタクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマーのいずれかである場合、多孔質体の比表面積は、好ましくは、3~900m2/gであり、より好ましくは5~700m2/gである。また、前記ポリマーが、ポリアクリロニトリルである場合、多孔質体の比表面積は、好ましくは、3~900m2/gであり、より好ましくは5~700m2/gである。また、前記ポリマーがポリビニルアルコールである場合、多孔質体の比表面積は、好ましくは、3~900m2/gであり、より好ましくは5~700m2/gである。また、前記ポリマーがエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体である場合、多孔質体の比表面積は、好ましくは、5~500m2/gであり、より好ましくは10~300m2/gである。なお、比表面積は、具体的には実施例に記載の方法で測定できる。

 前記第1の多孔質体および第2の多孔質体は、本発明のバクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体の製造方法により得ることができる。
 なお、本発明の多孔質において、前記ポリマーがエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の場合、第1の溶媒と水(相分離)の溶媒組成とエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の組成を変えることにより得られる多孔質体の構造を調節することができる。具体的には、エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体(エチレン含有量27モル%)の場合には、第1の溶媒と水(相分離に用いた混合溶媒)の組成を水/第1の溶媒(例えばイソプロパノール)=60/40~65/35vol%とすることにより、バクテリアセルロースのナノファイバーの三次元ネットワーク構造と、そのネットワーク構造の周りに析出したポリマーの多孔質構造とを含む構造の多孔質体が得られる。また、第1の溶媒と水(相分離に用いた混合溶媒)の組成を水/第1の溶媒(例えばイソプロパノール)=35/65~55/45vol%とすることにより、バクテリアセルロースの多層構造と、前記バクテリアセルロースの上にポリマー由来の多孔質層を含む構造の多孔質体が得られる。また、エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体(エチレン含有量44モル%)の場合には、第1の溶媒と水(相分離に用いた混合溶媒)の組成を水/第1の溶媒(例えばイソプロパノール)=30/70~40/60vol%とすることにより、バクテリアセルロースの多層構造と、前記バクテリアセルロースの上にポリマー由来の多孔質層を含む構造の多孔質体が得られる。
 また、本発明は、バクテリアセルロースおよびポリマー由来の活性炭であり、
 前記ポリマーは、ポリアクリロニトリルまたはアクリロニトリルを含むコポリマーであり、
 前記バクテリアセルロース由来の多層構造と、
 前記ポリマー由来の多孔構造とを含み、
 前記多層構造の層の間の距離は、0.1μm~20μmの範囲であり、
 前記多層構造の層の厚みは、0.2μm~30μmの範囲であり、
 窒素含有量は0.1~10質量%の範囲である。なお、前記ポリマー由来の多孔構造は、前記バクテリアセルロース由来の多層構造に沿って多孔化している。
 前記活性炭において、前記多層構造の層の間の距離は、0.1μm~20μmの範囲であり、好ましくは、0.2μm~15μmの範囲であり、より好ましくは、0.2μm~10μmの範囲である。
 前記活性炭において、前記多層構造の層の厚みは、0.2μm~30μmの範囲であり、好ましくは、0.3μm~20μmの範囲であり、より好ましくは、0.3μm~10μmの範囲である。
 前記活性炭において、窒素含有量は、0.1~10質量%の範囲であり、好ましくは、0.3~10質量%の範囲であり、より好ましくは0.3~8質量%の範囲である。
 また、本発明は、バクテリアセルロースおよびポリマー由来の活性炭の製造方法であり、前記ポリマーは、ポリアクリロニトリルまたはアクリロニトリルを含むコポリマーであり、本発明のバクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体の製造方法により得られた多孔質体を、焼成する工程を含む。
 前記焼成の前に、例えば、150~350℃、好ましくは160
~280℃で、空気中で、例えば、0.5~20時間、好ましくは1~15時間、予備焼成(不融化)を行ってもよい。
 前記焼成は、例えば、500~1800℃、好ましくは600~1400℃で、活性ガス、例えばアルゴンと二酸化炭素の混合物の雰囲気下(二酸化炭素/アルゴン(体積比)=例えば、0.05~2、好ましくは0.1~3で、例えば、0.1~24時間、好ましくは0.2~12時間、行う。
 前記活性炭は、多孔質で高比表面積であるため、ガスなどの吸着材、脱臭材、メタン貯蔵材料などとして用いることができる。また、前記活性炭は炭素含有量が高く導電性を示すため、電極材料としても用いることができる。前記電極材料としては、例えば、電気二重層キャパシタ、ハイブリットキャパシタ等の電極材料が挙げられる。
 以下に本発明を実施例によりさらに具体的に説明するが、本発明の範囲は、以下の実施例により限定されない。

 本明細書において孔径および骨格径は、走査型電子顕微鏡(SEM)を用いて撮影した画像から測定した孔径および骨格径の最小値および最大値を記載した。
 [製造例1]
 バクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルの製造
 純水500mL、ポリペプトン(2.5g、和光純薬株式会社)、イースト抽出物(「Bacto(商標)」、2.5g、和光純薬株式会社)、グルコース(2.5g)、D-マンニトール(2.5g、和光純薬株式会社)、MgSO4・7H2O(0.5g)およびエタノール(2.5mL)をよく混合した後、酢酸でpHを約4に調整し、液体培地を作製した。この培地を耐熱性のプラスチック容器に入れオートクレーブを用いて滅菌を行った後、Acetobactor xylinus(NBRC13693)を植え付け、30℃で1週間培養を行った。培地の表面に生成したゲルを回収した。得られたゲル中の培地成分を2日かけて脱イオン水に含浸させることにより置換した後、ゲルをオートクレーブで滅菌し、さらに2重量%の水酸化ナトリウム水溶液で煮沸し滅菌した。滅菌後、2日間かけてゲル中の水酸化ナトリウム水溶液を脱イオン水で置換し、バクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルを得た。得られたバクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルのSEM写真を図1に示す。
 [実施例1]
 バクテリアセルロースとポリアクリロニトリルとを含む多孔体(以下、「BC-PAN多孔質体」と呼ぶことがある)の製造
 サンプル菅中で、製造例1で製造したバクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルをDMSO(ナカライテスク株式会社)に含浸させ、バクテリアセルロースに含まれる溶媒をDMSOと置換した。このとき、水/DMSO=15/85vol%となるように置換を行った。溶媒置換後、前記含浸されたバクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルへアクリロニトリルを含むコポリマー(便宜上、以下「PAN」と呼ぶ)(アクリロニトリル:酢酸ビニル=93:7の共重合体、シグマ-アルドリッチ社製)を70mg/mLとなるように加え、この混合物を90℃のホットスターラで一晩撹拌した。撹拌後、前記混合物からゲル状物を取り出し、別のサンプル菅に入れ25℃のバイオシェーカ(「TAOTEC Bioshaker M・BR-022UP」)内で2時間静置した後、大量の水で1日かけてゲル状物中に含まれる溶媒と水との置換を行った。得られたゲル状物を凍結乾燥(「EYELA FDU 12000」、東京理科器機株式会社)することにより水を除去し、BC-PAN多孔質体を得た。得られたBC-PAN多孔質体のSEM写真を図2aおよび図2bに示す。図2cに示すように、図2aは、BC-PAN多孔質体を垂直方向に、図2bは、水平方向に観察したSEM写真である。図2aに示すように、BC-PAN多孔質体は、バクテリアセルロースのナノファイバーの三次元ネットワーク構造と、ポリアクリロニトリルの多孔質構造が絡み合った構造を有することが確認できた。また、図2bに示すように、BC-PAN多孔質体は、バクテリアセルロースの多層構造と、ポリアクリロニトリル由来の多孔構造を含むことが確認できた。なお、前記多層構造の層の間の距離は、1~5μmであり、前記多層構造の層の厚みは、3~10μmであった。また、得られたBC-PAN多孔質体を元素分析した結果、ポリアクリロニトリル/バクテリアセルロースの割合(重量比)は、85/15であった。BC-PAN体孔径は2μm~5μm、骨格径は1μm~2μmであった。
 [実施例2]
 バクテリアセルロースおよびポリアクリロニトリル由来の活性炭(以下、「BC-PAN活性炭」と呼ぶことがある)の製造
 実施例1で得たBC-PAN多孔質体をオーブンを用いて空気中、230℃で5時間熱処理した(不融化)。その後、前記多孔質体を二酸化炭素とアルゴンの混合(二酸化炭素/アルゴン(体積比)=25/75)雰囲気中、1000℃で1時間賦活し、BC-PAN活性炭を得た。得られたBC-PAN活性炭のSEM写真を図3aおよび図3bに示す。図3cに示すように、図3aは、BC-PAN活性炭を垂直方向に、図3bは、水平方向に観察したSEM写真である。図3aに示すように、BC-PAN活性炭も、BC-PAN多孔質体と同様、バクテリアセルロースのナノファイバーの三次元ネットワーク構造と、ポリアクリロニトリルの多孔質構造が絡み合った構造を有することが確認できた。また、図3bに示すように、BC-PAN活性炭は、バクテリアセルロース由来の多層構造と、前記バクテリアセルロース由来の繊維上にポリアクリロニトリル由来の多孔質コーティングを含むことが確認できた。なお、前記多層構造の層の間の距離は、1~5μmであり、前記多層構造の層の厚みは、3~10μmであった。また、サンプル脱ガス装置を用い、BC-PAN活性炭の窒素吸脱着等温線を測定し、そこから細孔径分布を算出することにより、BC-PAN活性炭には、直径2nm以下の細孔であるミクロ孔が多く存在することも確認できた。また、得られたBC-PAN活性炭を元素分析した結果、窒素含有量は4.0質量%であった。
 <実施例1で得られたBC-PAN多孔質体と実施例2で得られたBC-PAN活性炭の孔特性>
 [BET比表面積測定]
 サンプル脱ガス装置を用い、窒素気流下60℃で40分間脱気した後、BET3点法による比表面積測定を行った。得られたBET法による比表面積は、以下の表1に示す。この値から実施例2で得られたBC-PAN活性炭は、十分に大きい比表面積を有する多孔質体であることが確認できた。

 <バクテリアセルロースおよびポリアクリロニトリル由来の活性炭(BC-PAN炭)の電気化学的測定>
 実施例2で得たBC-PAN炭を粉砕し、JIS-Z-8801 JIS規格の試験用ふるいを用いて、45μm以下に分級した。得られたBC-PAN炭粉末を、0.8%ナフィオン(商標)(De521 CSタイプ、和光純薬株式会社)の1-プロパノール(ナカライテスク株式会社)溶液に20mg/mLとなるように加え、15分間ソニケーションすることで、BC-PAN炭分散液を得た。この分散液をグラッシーカーボン電極に塗布し、乾燥したものを作用極として、Pt電極を対電極として、Ag/AgCl電極を参照電極として用いて、3極式セルによりサイクリックボルタンメトリー(CV)で評価した。電解液には、硫酸水溶液(1M)、硫酸ナトリウム水溶液(1M)および水酸化カリウム水溶液(1M)の3種類を用い、比較を行った。電位窓は電解液の液性に合わせて設定し、走査速度は200mV~1mVと変化させて測定した。図4は、実施例2で得られたBC-PAN活性炭と、PAN活性炭の、硫酸水溶液(1M)を用いた走査速度に対する容量維持率を示すグラフである。図5は、実施例2で得られたBC-PAN活性炭とPAN活性炭のサイクリックボルタモグラムである。
 なお、PAN活性炭は、以下の方法により製造した。
 アクリロニトリルを含むコポリマー(アクリロニトリル:酢酸ビニル=93:7の共重合体、シグマ-アルドリッチ社製)(0.140g)と水(0.30g、0.30mL)とジメチルスルホキシド(DMSO)(1.87g、1.7mL)(DMSO/H2O(体積比)=85/15)をサンプル管に入れ、ホットスターラを用いて90℃で加熱しながら撹拌し、PAN濃度70mg/mLで溶解させた。前記混合物を24時間加熱撹拌したのちに、20℃に設定したバイオシェーカで1時間静置することで前記混合物から析出体を相分離させた。前記析出体に含まれる溶媒を、24時間かけメタノールを用いて置換し、次いで析出体をデシケーターで真空乾燥させPAN多孔質体を得た。
 PAN多孔質体をオーブンを用いて空気中、230℃で6時間熱処理した(不融化)。その後、二酸化炭素とアルゴンの混合(二酸化炭素/アルゴン(体積比)=25/75)雰囲気中、1000℃で1時間賦活し、PAN活性炭を得た。
 図4に示すように、走査速度を変えて測定を行った結果、PAN活性炭では走査速度を速くすると容量が低下したのに対し、BC-PAN活性炭では高走査速度でも容量を維持していることが確認できた。また、図5aに示すように、BC-PAN活性炭の高走査速度時におけるサイクリックボルタモグラムの形状は、理想である長方形型に近いことが確認できた。
 これらの結果は、BC-PAN活性炭の特異な構造に起因すると考えられ、表面積の大きなPAN多孔質体部分が電気二重層面積を大きくし、さらに、PANと絡み合ったバクテリアセルロース由来のカーボンナノファイバーが導電パスの向上に寄与することで、良好な高速応答性を示したと考えられる。
  <バクテリアセルロースおよびポリアクリロニトリル由来の活性炭(BC-PAN炭)の交流インピーダンス法による抵抗値測定>
 実施例2で得たBC-PAN炭を用いて、交流インピーダンス法による抵抗値を測定した。
 活性炭粉末(45μm以下に分級したもの)19mgとPTFE微粒子1mg(AC:PTFE=95:5wt%)を乳鉢と乳棒を用いてよく混練した後、ガラス板とガラス棒を用いて延伸し、厚さ100±5μmとなるようにシート成型した。得られたACシート電極は直径5mmの円盤状にくりぬき、120℃で1晩乾燥させてから測定に用いた。
 前記ACシート電極をハンドプレス(SSP-10A、SHIMAZU)を用いて、7mm×7mmの大きさのSUS304集電体メッシュ(ニラコ)上に30kNで圧着し作用極を作製した。この作用極に加え、対極に白金メッシュ(ニラコ)、参照極にルギン管付き銀/塩化銀(Ag/AgCl)電極(インターケミ)、電解液に1mol/L硫酸水溶液を用い三極式セルを構成した。電極は電解液に減圧含浸させてから測定を行った。振幅は10mV、交流周波数は0.01~10000Hzと変化させて測定した。得られたナイキストプロット(Cole-cole plot)を図5bに示す。なお、図5b中、縦軸は虚数のインピーダンス(Z’’)、横軸は実数のインピーダンス(Z’)である。また、活性炭として、実施例2で得たBC-PAN炭または、前記PAN活性炭を用いた。
 図5bに示すように、BC-PAN炭はPAN活性炭と比較して粒界抵抗が小さいことが確認できた。
 [実施例3]
 バクテリアセルロースとポリメチルメタクリル酸(PMMA)とを含む多孔体(以下、「BC-PMMA多孔質体」と呼ぶことがある)の製造
 サンプル菅中で、製造例1で製造したバクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルをエタノールに含浸させ、バクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルに含まれる溶媒をエタノールと置換した。このとき、水/エタノール=20/80vol%となるように置換を行った。溶媒置換後、前記含浸されたバクテリアセルロースへポリメチルメタクリル酸(PMMA)(重量分子量95,000)を80mg/mLとなるように加え、この混合物を60℃のホットスターラで5時間撹拌した。撹拌後、前記混合物からゲル状物を取り出し、別のサンプル菅に入れ25℃のバイオシェーカ内で2時間静置した後、大量の水で1日かけてゲル状物中に含まれる溶媒との置換を行った。得られたゲル状物を凍結乾燥することにより水を除去し、BC-PMMA多孔質体を得た。得られたBC-PMMA多孔質体のSEM写真を図6aおよび図6bに示す。図6aおよび図6bに示すように、BC-PMMA多孔質体は、バクテリアセルロースのナノファイバーの三次元ネットワーク構造と、ポリメチルメタクリル酸の多孔質構造が絡み合った構造を有することが確認できた。なお、前記多層構造の層の間の距離は、1~5μmであり、前記多層構造の層の厚みは、3~10μmであった。
 [実施例4]
 バクテリアセルロースと酢酸セルロース(CA)とを含む多孔体(以下、「BC-CA多孔質体」と呼ぶことがある)の製造
 サンプル菅中で、ナタデココ(天狗缶詰社製)をDMSOと水の混合物(水/DMSO=30/70vol%)に含浸させ、ナタデココに含まれる溶媒をDMSOと置換した。溶媒置換後、前記含浸されたナタデココへ酢酸セルロース(CA)(分子量5万)を100mg/mLとなるように加え、この混合物を85℃のホットスターラで終夜撹拌して、酢酸セルロースを溶解させた。撹拌後、この混合物へメタノールを追加し、さらに終夜攪拌した。前記混合物からゲル状物を取り出し、別のサンプル菅に入れ20℃のバイオシェーカ内で3時間静置した後、大量の水で1日かけてゲル状物中に含まれる溶媒との置換を行った。得られたゲル状物を凍結乾燥することにより水を除去し、BC-CA多孔質体を得た。得られたBC-CA多孔質体のSEM写真を図7に示す。図7に示すように、BC-CA多孔質体は、バクテリアセルロースのナノファイバーの三次元ネットワーク構造と、そのネットワーク構造の周りに析出した酢酸セルロースの多孔質構造とを含む構造を有することが確認できた。なお、BC-CA体孔径は1.0μm~1.5μm、骨格径は0.2μm~0.3μmであった。また、得られたBC-CA多孔質体を元素分析した結果、酢酸セルロース/バクテリアセルロースの割合(重量比)は、80/20であった。
 [実施例5-1]
 バクテリアセルロースとエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体(EVOH)とを含む多孔体(以下、「BC-EVOH多孔質体」と呼ぶことがある)の製造
 サンプル菅中で、製造例1で製造したバクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルをイソプロパノールに含浸させ、バクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルに含まれる溶媒をイソプロパノールと置換した。このとき、水/イソプロパノール=50/50vol%となるように置換を行った。溶媒置換後、前記含浸されたバクテリアセルロースへエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体(EVOH)(エチレン含有量27モル%)を100mg/mL%となるように加え、この混合物を75℃のホットスターラで終夜撹拌した。撹拌後、前記混合物からゲル状物を取り出し、別のサンプル菅に入れ4℃のバイオシェーカ内で24時間静置した後、大量のアセトンで1日かけてゲル状物中に含まれる溶媒との置換を行った。得られたゲル状物を凍結乾燥することにより水を除去し、BC-EVOH多孔質体を得た。得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体のSEM写真を図8に示す。図8に示すように、BC-EVOH多孔質体は、バクテリアセルロースのナノファイバーの三次元ネットワーク構造と、そのネットワーク構造の周りに析出したエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の多孔質構造とを含む構造を有することが確認できた。また、得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体の孔径は0.2μm~0.5μm、骨格径は0.1μm~0.3μmであった。また、得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体を元素分析した結果、エチレンビニルアルコール/バクテリアセルロースの割合(重量比)は、94/6であった。
 [実施例5-2]
 バクテリアセルロースとエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体(EVOH)とを含む多孔体(以下、「BC-EVOH多孔質体」と呼ぶことがある)の製造
 水/イソプロパノールの割合を65/35vol%にし、EVOH(エチレン含有量27モル%)濃度を150mg/mLにした以外は実施例5-1と同様にして、BC-EVOH多孔質体を得た。得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体のSEM写真を図9aおよび図9bに示す。図9aは、BC-EVOH多孔質体を垂直方向に、図9bは、水平方向に観察したSEM写真である。図9aおよび図9bに示すように、BC-EVOH多孔質体は、バクテリアセルロースのナノファイバーの三次元ネットワーク構造と、そのネットワーク構造の周りに析出したエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の多孔質構造とを含む構造を有することが確認できた。また、得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体の孔径は0.5μm~1.0μm、骨格径は0.2μm~0.4μmであった。また、得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体を元素分析した結果、エチレンビニルアルコール/バクテリアセルロースの割合(重量比)は、95/5であった。
 [実施例5-3]
 バクテリアセルロースとエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体(EVOH)とを含む多孔体(以下、「BC-EVOH多孔質体」と呼ぶことがある)の製造
 水/イソプロパノールの割合を60/40vol%にし、EVOH(エチレン含有量27モル%)濃度を150mg/mLにした以外は実施例5-1と同様にして、BC-EVOH多孔質体を得た。得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体のSEM写真を図10aおよび図10bに示す。図10aは、BC-EVOH多孔質体を垂直方向に、図10bは、水平方向に観察したSEM写真である。図10aおよび図10bに示すように、BC-EVOH多孔質体は、バクテリアセルロースのナノファイバーの三次元ネットワーク構造と、そのネットワーク構造の周りに析出したエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の多孔質構造とを含む構造を有することが確認できた。また、得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体の孔径は0.5μm~1.0μm、骨格径は0.05μm~0.2μmであった。また、得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体を元素分析した結果、エチレンビニルアルコール/バクテリアセルロースの割合(重量比)は、93/7であった。
 [実施例5-4]
 バクテリアセルロースとエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体(EVOH)とを含む多孔体(以下、「BC-EVOH多孔質体」と呼ぶことがある)の製造
 水/イソプロパノールの割合を45/55vol%にし、EVOH濃度を150mg/mLにし、バクテリアセルロースへエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体(EVOH)(エチレン含有量44モル%)(分子量14,000)を用いた以外は実施例5-1と同様にして、BC-EVOH多孔質体を得た。得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体のSEM写真を図11に示す。図11に示すように、BC-EVOH多孔質体は、バクテリアセルロースのナノファイバーの多層構造と、そのバクテリアセルロースのナノファイバー上に析出したエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の多孔質コーティングとを含む構造を有することが確認できた。なお、前記多層構造の層の間の距離は、1μm~5μmであり、前記多層構造の層の厚みは、3μm~10μmであった。また、得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体の孔径は0.2μm~0.5μm、骨格径は0.2μm~0.3μmであった。また、得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体を元素分析した結果、エチレンビニルアルコール/バクテリアセルロースの割合(重量比)は、94/6であった。
 [実施例5-5]
 バクテリアセルロースとエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体(EVOH)とを含む多孔体(以下、「BC-EVOH多孔質体」と呼ぶことがある)の製造
 水/イソプロパノールの割合を60/40vol%にし、EVOH(エチレン含有量44モル%)濃度を150mg/mL(44モル%)にした以外は実施例5-4と同様にして、BC-EVOH多孔質体を得た。得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体のSEM写真を図12に示す。図12に示すように、BC-EVOH多孔質体は、バクテリアセルロースのナノファイバーの三次元ネットワーク構造と、そのネットワーク構造の周りに析出したエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の多孔質構造とを含む構造を有することが確認できた。また、得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体の孔径は0.2μm~1.0μm、骨格径は0.1μm~0.3μmであった。また、得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体を元素分析した結果、エチレンビニルアルコール/バクテリアセルロースの割合(重量比)は、95/5であった。
 [実施例5-6]
 バクテリアセルロースとエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体(EVOH)とを含む多孔体(以下、「BC-EVOH多孔質体」と呼ぶことがある)の製造
 水/イソプロパノールの割合を50/50vol%にし、EVOH(エチレン含有量27モル%)濃度を150mg/mLにした以外は実施例5-1と同様にして、BC-EVOH多孔質体を得た。得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体のSEM写真を図13aおよび図13bに示す。図13aは、BC-EVOH多孔質体を垂直方向に、図13bは、水平方向に観察したSEM写真である。図13aおよび図13bに示すように、BC-EVOH多孔質体は、バクテリアセルロースのナノファイバーの三次元ネットワーク構造と、そのネットワーク構造の周りに析出したエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の多孔質構造とを含む構造を有することが確認できた。また、得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体の孔径は0.2μm~0.5μm、骨格径は0.1μm~0.3μmであった。また、得られたBC-EVOH多孔質体を元素分析した結果、エチレンビニルアルコール/バクテリアセルロースの割合(重量比)は、93/7であった。
 本発明の方法により得られたバクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体は、フィルター、吸着材、電極等への利用も期待される。

Claims (13)

  1.  バクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体の製造方法であって、
     前記方法は、
     バクテリアセルロースハイドロゲルへ第1の溶媒を加えて第1の混合物を調製する工程、
     前記第1の混合物へ前記ポリマーを加えて加熱し、前記ポリマーは前記第1の溶媒および水の混合物中に溶解させて第2の混合物を調製する工程、
     前記第2の混合物を冷却して析出した成形体を得る工程、および
     前記成形体を第2の溶媒に浸漬させて、前記成形体中に含まれる前記第1の溶媒および水を前記第2の溶媒と置換させて、前記バクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体を得る工程を含み、
     前記ポリマーは、相分離により多孔質体を形成しうるポリマーであり、
     前記第1の溶媒は、水と混和性の溶媒である製造方法。
  2.  前記第1の溶媒が、メタノール、エタノール、イソプロパノール、グリセリン、エチレングリコール、1,3-プロパンジオール、1,2-プロパンジオール、1,4-ブタンジオール、2-ブタノン、ニトロメタン、ニトロエタン、ニトロベンゼン、ベンゾニトリル、プロピオニトリル、テトラヒドロフラン、ジグライム、ジメチルスルホキシド(DMSO)、ジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)、アセトン、メチルエチルケトン、ジメチルアセトアミド(DMAc)、N-メチルピロリドン、1,4-ジオキサン、アセトニトリル、1-プロパノールからなる群から選択される1つ以上である請求項1に記載の製造方法。
  3.  前記第2の溶媒が、水、低級アルコール、アセトンおよびアセトニトリルからなる群から選択される請求項1または2に記載の製造方法。
  4.  前記第2の混合物を調製する工程において、前記第1の溶媒と水の体積割合(第1の溶媒/水)が、10~99.5%である請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の製造方法。
  5.  前記ポリマーは、ポリ乳酸、アクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、アクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類のホモポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマー、ポリアクリロニトリル、アクリロニトリルを含むコポリマー、ポリビニルアルコール、エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体、ポリ(γ-グルタミン酸)、キトサン、アルギン酸、ポリエチレンオキシド、および酢酸セルロースからなる群から選択される1つ以上である請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の製造方法。
  6.  前記第2の混合物における前記ポリマーの濃度が、5~300mg/mlである請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の製造方法。
  7.  バクテリアセルロースおよびポリマー由来の活性炭の製造方法であり、
     前記ポリマーは、ポリアクリロニトリルまたはアクリロニトリルを含むコポリマーであり、
     請求項5または6に記載の製造方法により得られたバクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含む多孔質体を、焼成する工程を含む製造方法。
  8.  バクテリアセルロースとポリマーとを含み、前記ポリマーは、相分離により多孔質体を形成しうるポリマーである多孔質体。
  9.  前記ポリマーの多孔質体に前記バクテリアセルロースの3次元ネットワーク構造が絡み合っている構造を有する請求項8に記載の多孔質体。
  10.  バクテリアセルロースおよびポリマー由来の活性炭であり、
     前記ポリマーは、ポリアクリロニトリルまたはアクリロニトリルを含むコポリマーであり、
     前記バクテリアセルロース由来の多層構造と、
     前記ポリマー由来の多孔構造とを含み、
     前記多層構造の層の間の距離は、0.1μm~20μmの範囲であり、
     前記多層構造の層の厚みは、0.2μm~30μmの範囲であり、
     窒素含有量は、0.1~10質量%の範囲である
    活性炭。
  11.  前記バクテリアセルロースの多層構造と、
     前記ポリマー由来の多孔構造とを含み、
     前記ポリマーは、ポリアクリロニトリル、アクリロニトリルを含むコポリマー、メタクリル酸エステル類を含むコポリマーおよびエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体からなる群から選択される1つ以上を含むコポリマーであり、
     前記多層構造の層の間の距離は、0.1μm~20μmの範囲であり、
     前記多層構造の層の厚みは、0.2μm~30μmの範囲である
    請求項8または9に記載の多孔質体。
  12.  前記バクテリアセルロースの多層構造と、
     前記ポリマー由来の層とを含み、
     前記ポリマーは、エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体または酢酸セルロースのコポリマーであり、
     前記多層構造の層の間の距離は、0.1μm~20μmの範囲であり、
     前記多層構造の層の厚みは、0.2μm~30μmの範囲である
    請求項8または9に記載の多孔質体。
  13.  前記ポリマー由来の層は、前記バクテリアセルロースの上にある請求項12に記載の多孔質体。
