- the sample was placed so that the center of the sample was convex, the maximum and minimum heights were measured at the center and both ends, and the difference was taken as the amount of warpage of the glass.
- the amount of warpage of the glass plate before being deformed by the BB device and the amount of warpage after the deformation were measured, and the difference was defined as the amount of deformation by the BB test. Due to the limitations of the measurement method, the measured length of the warp amount is a warp amount of 34 mm excluding 0.5 mm at both ends with respect to the sample 35 mm.
- Table 4 shows the amount of BB deformation of the glasses of Examples 1 to 12.
- MgO and CaO in the glass composition are substituted. It can be seen that the glass with more MgO and less CaO suppresses deformation below the strain point of the glass.
- Example 2 Example 5, glass in Example 6 replacing the Na 2 O and K 2 O in the glass composition. It can be seen that the substitution of Na 2 O and K 2 O does not affect the deformation below the strain point of the glass. Comparing the BB deformation amounts of the glasses of Examples 7 to 9 and Examples 10 to 12, it can be seen that the larger the MgO / RO, the more the deformation is suppressed.
- the glass of the present invention has a specific composition, and in particular, by increasing the MgO content and reducing the CaO content compared to the conventional soda lime silicate glass, the strain point of the glass. It is possible to provide a glass in which deformation due to stress during heat treatment described below is suppressed. Moreover, this deformation
- the glass of the present invention can be used for heat treatment such as chemical strengthening treatment and film formation treatment.
- the chemically strengthened glass of the present invention obtained by chemically strengthening the glass of the present invention can be used for a display device, particularly a cover glass of a touch panel display. Moreover, it can utilize also for the double glazing for building houses, a solar cell substrate, etc.

<ガラス>
MgOの含有量とRO(ここで、ROは、MgO、CaO、SrO及びBaOの合計、すなわち、MgO+CaO+SrO+BaOである)の含有量の比である、MgO/ROは、0.7以上であり、好ましくは0.8以上、より好ましくは0.9以上、さらに好ましくは0.95以上である。
